Underworld – The Lucifer Mansion
In the Underworld, within a mansion that had once served as the residence of the original Lucifer, a profound silence reigned. This estate stood as a monument to a bygone era, a relic of the Great Devil Civil War.
Long before peace returned to the Underworld, the Devil Civil War had nearly destroyed the entire race.
The conflict had been a brutal and defining chapter in devil history, a civil war fought between the Old Satan faction—led by the original, tyrannical bearers of the title—and the New Devil Faction, who sought coexistence with the other supernatural races rather than endless conquest.
The Old Satans, driven by immense pride and a desire for conquest, had been on the verge of launching another world-scale war against the Angels, Gods, and other factions of the world.
The ensuing civil war, led by figures like Ajuka Beelzebub and the current Lucifer, had been a desperate struggle to prevent this self-destructive path.
The war was catastrophic, decimating the devil population and leading to the deaths of countless powerful devils, including the original Four Great Satans Houses. In the end, the new faction emerged victorious, and the old guard was replaced.
The conflict only ended when the strongest heirs of the new generation rose and put an end to the old order.
From that devastation emerged the new rulers of Hell:
The titles of the Four Great Satans were inherited not by bloodline, but by the four most powerful devils of the new era: Sirzechs Lucifer, Ajuka Beelzebub, Serafall Leviathan, and Falbium Asmodeus.
Their ascension marked the dawn of a new age for the Underworld, one of diplomacy and cautious rebuilding.
And now, in the present—
Within the grand Lucifer Mansion, a fortress of obsidian spires and crimson sigils carved into the heart of the Underworld, a luxurious office stood in solemn silence.
The room was lined with towering bookshelves filled with ancient grimoires, technological blueprints, and sealed demonic records. A massive desk of polished black stone dominated the center, illuminated by soft crimson witchlight.
The luxurious office that served as the heart of devil governance, a crimson-haired man with calm emrald eyes sat upon a throne-like chair.
He was meticulously sorting through documents, his expression one of deep thought. He was an exceptionally handsome man, his features so gentle and serene that he seemed approachable, exuding an aura of profound peace.
Yet, anyone with the slightest knowledge of the world's power structure knew that this tranquility was a facade, the calm eye of a catastrophic storm. He was Sirzechs Lucifer, the current Satan Lucifer, and one of the strongest beings in existence, if not the absolute strongest.
A soft knock echoed through the room, pulling Sirzechs from his work. He lifted his gaze to the ornate door. "Come in," he commanded, his voice smooth and welcoming.
The door opened to reveal two of his oldest and dearest friends. The first was a woman with an otherworldly beauty, her black hair tied into twin-tails that cascaded down her back.
She was Serafall Leviathan, the Magical Girl Leviathan, whose public persona masked her sharp political mind and immense power.
The second was a man with green hair and a composed, intellectual demeanor, Ajuka Beelzebub, a peerless genius whose inventions had shaped the very foundation of the new Underworld.
"Sirzech!" Serafall chirped, her voice full of theatrical affection. She practically glided across the room, bypassing formalities entirely to wrap her arms around the seated Satan in a warm, loving hug.
"It's been too long since I've seen you in person! I was getting bored with all the meetings."
Sirzechs chuckled, returning the embrace. "It's good to see you too, Sera." As their eyes met, the warmth of their century-long friendship was palpable.
Serafall, however, took it a step further, tilting her head up and capturing his lips in a deep, passionate kiss, her tongue assertively parting his lips in a display of intimacy that was anything but platonic. When she finally pulled back, she wore a triumphant smirk.
Sirzechs from his seat, returning the greetings warmly. "You both look well."
Serafall beamed. "Of course we do! The Underworld is finally peaceful!"
Ajuka, ever the pragmatist, simply observed the exchange with an amused smile before getting straight to the point.
"As entertaining as your reunion is, Sirzechs, I came here for a specific reason."
Sirzechs with his hands on the arms of his chair said. "You finally completed it?"
Ajuka nodded slowly. "Yes"
"After years of research and utilizing the technology we salvaged from the ruins of the Old Satan civilization, I have finally succeeded. I've created something that will solve our population crisis and dramatically boost the overall power of our race."
Both Sirzechs and Serafall were instantly captivated, their playful demeanor shifting to one of intense curiosity. "What is it, Ajuka?" Sirzechs asked, leaning forward.
Ajuka reached into his dimensional pocket and produced two small, ornate boxes, placing them on the grand desk. "I call it the Evil Pieces system."
Ajuka raised a small black case and opened it.
Inside were several intricately carved chess pieces—black, obsidian-like, each radiating faint demonic light.
He proceeded to explain his creation.
"The system is designed to repurpose the immense power of devils. It's based on the game of chess."
"Each set consists of fifteen pieces: one King, one Queen, two Rooks, two Bishops, two Knights, and eight Pawns. A devil who possesses a King piece can become a 'King' and use the other pieces to reincarnate other beings into devils."
"Humans, angels, fallen angels, even mythical creatures can be converted. Their souls are placed into a chess piece, and they are reborn as a devil, bound in servitude to their King. The piece they are reincarnated into determines the new abilities they will manifest."
Each piece grants different enhancements:
King: Absolute control and leadership authority, 10×Demonic Power.
Queen: Maximum all-around enhancement
Rook: Physical power boost
Bishop: Magical power boost
Knight: Speed and agility boost
Pawn: Balanced growth with Promotion Ability.
When reincarnated, the subordinate becomes spiritually bound to the King and gains demonic power.
"The Queen is the most powerful, possessing the traits of the Rook, Bishop, and Knight. This will allow us to increase our numbers exponentially by recruiting powerful individuals from other races into our society."
He then pushed the two boxes forward. "These are for you. They are the first sets ever created. I want you to take the King pieces and imbue them with your demonic power. I need to observe the changes and mutations that occur."
Sirzechs's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Ajuka. "So that's why your own power has grown so noticeably in recent weeks. This is the source."
Ajuka's smile widened. "Indeed. The pieces resonate with and amplify the user's inherent abilities."
Without a moment's hesitation, both Sirzechs and Serafall accepted their respective King pieces. The moment the cool, smooth chess piece touched their skin, a surge of power erupted within them.
Ajuka continued, "By modifying the inscription matrix, I've also enhanced their growth efficiency and compatibility. The King piece, in particular, now resonates directly with the ruler's demonic core."
Their appearances remained unchanged, but their energy levels skyrocketed to absurd heights. For Sirzechs, the effect was particularly profound.
He could feel a raging, boundless power coursing through his entire being, a force of such magnitude that it solidified his status as a being at the very pinnacle of the world's power hierarchy. He let out a slow, satisfied breath. "Incredible..." he murmured.
Sirzechs straightened slowly, his presence now far heavier than before. "With this… the future of devils might truly be secured."
Ajuka nodded. "That is the goal."
