Chapter 32 - Chapter 32:The Library Gambit

Chapter 33

"Analysis complete..."

Luciel put down the intermediate strength potion in his hand, his brows furrowing deeply.

"I've analyzed six different materials containing strength-enhancing ingredients, but only two are identifiable. These two are the blue orange fruit and the blood of the devil bear, which were also part of the previous analysis for the low-level strength potions..."

Luciel realized he had a problem: "The database of magic materials isn't sufficient. I need more knowledge to fill in the gaps."

Determined, he made his way directly to the library.

---

However, Luciel's trip proved disappointing.

The library contained only books on the most basic knowledge of magic pharmacy and magic materials, with no advanced texts available. Luciel had anticipated this. If everything could be found in the library, there would be no need for people to pay to take magic pharmacy as an elective.

Just as he was about to leave, a faint lavender scent reached his nose.

A soft and gentle voice followed. "Excuse me, can I help you?"

Luciel turned to find a beautiful girl standing in front of him.

With long burgundy curls and lake-blue eyes, she exuded a refreshing aura.

She looked at him, a little embarrassed, and said softly, "I'm the assistant administrator of the library. I noticed you were looking for something, and I was curious if I could assist you."

Luciel paused, then casually replied, "I was looking for advanced knowledge about magic pharmacy and magic materials, but I couldn't find anything."

"Advanced knowledge about magic pharmacy and magical materials?" Luciel noticed her eyes light up with interest as she spoke.

"I think I can help. I remember there might be something over there."

She quickly trotted off, leaving Luciel standing in surprise.

Luciel couldn't help but shake his head. I just mentioned advanced knowledge casually. I didn't expect her to really know about it. After all, knowledge like that is usually kept secret by powerful individuals. How could it be stored in the library?

However, just as Luciel was about to leave, the girl returned, holding two thick notebooks in her hands.

"I found it!" she exclaimed eagerly.

She handed the notebooks to Luciel and explained, "There aren't any official books, but there are some class notes left by senior students."

Luciel stared at the notebooks, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. A strange smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

"Thanks."

He quickly took the notebooks, his gratitude sincere.

The girl smiled warmly, introducing herself. "I'm Helen. What's your name?"

"Luciel," he replied, offering his name before bidding her farewell and leaving the library.

As Luciel walked away, Helen let out a deep sigh, her expression relaxing.

"Finally managed to get close to him. How could advanced knowledge about magic pharmacy and magic materials be kept in the library? How naive of me," she mused, chuckling. "But at least this confirms he's studying magic potions. The teacher did say he was a genius in pharmacy, and it looks like it's true..."

She frowned slightly, her thoughts turning dark. "Bellis's prejudice against her brother is too deep. She won't even interact with him, so I have to work harder than I should have..."

---

Luciel looked at the beautiful handwriting on the notes. The last few pages were still fresh, and he shook his head with a bemused expression.

Even senior class notes had pages that looked new. It seemed like these might be the girl's class notes. But it didn't matter. As long as he got what he needed.

He didn't pay much attention to Helen's apparent interest in him. Her intentions will become clearer soon enough.

"Store information."

Luciel silently gave the chip the command.

"Storing records..."

"Storage complete."

"Reorganizing analysis data."

---

Once the data was processed, the analysis results were displayed for Luciel.

After carefully reviewing, Luciel selected two auxiliary materials best suited for his current needs.

The first was the Wind Wolf Demon Core, which could increase his speed by up to 3 points. The second was the steel cone, which could enhance physical fitness to the maximum.

The chip provided detailed instructions for both materials, and Luciel found the methods more complicated than he expected.

The Wind Wolf Demon Core had to be ground into powder and mixed with the juice of the Ghost Face Flower. It required 50 doses of 60 grams each for a full cycle of strengthening, with extreme pain accompanying each dose.

Steel cones were incredibly hard, almost like steel itself. The method was to soak them to soften and then swallow them whole—more than 300 of them in succession to complete the fortification. Soaking required a juice from another fruit, which had unpleasant side effects.

"In essence, this is a crude, new type of magic potion. The side effects are significant, but the enhancement effect is much more direct and potent than intermediate potions," Luciel mused, shaking his head.

He quickly ordered the chip to optimize the formulas for the three intermediate potions. The Wind Wolf Demon Core, Ghost Face Flower juice, and other costly materials would require a substantial investment, so Luciel also needed to use the optimized potion formula to make a profit.

"For speed and physique, the strength potion will still be based on the mani fruit."

The mani fruit was the most affordable, and while it did have side effects, Luciel had already had the chip find a solution—taking snake gall alongside it.

So... Luciel thought with a flash of realization. Now I just need to focus on training.
