"No," Lu Zhen replied.
Lu Tao frowned. "You do not even know what I was going to offer."
"You were going to offer to enter a tunnel filled with digestive fluid and fight a monster capable of eating a building."
"I might have been planning to help rescue the people under the command centre."
Lu Zhen looked at him.
Lu Tao avoided his brother's gaze. "Alright, I was going to enter the tunnel."
"You will remain here and help Commander Han find the beacon's exact position."
Lu Tao wanted to protest, but Leng Pan placed the alien communicator in his hands. "We need someone we can trust to watch the signal. If the beacon starts moving, tell us immediately."
Realizing that the task was important, Lu Tao stopped arguing. "Fine, but if the creature swallows either of you, I am going to tell Mother that this was Brother's plan."
Lu Zhen gave him a calm look. "If that happens, you might need to find a safer distance before telling her."
