Chapter 44 - The Path We Have Taken

Riveria had a sleepless and restless night, the deaths of many of her people still on her conscience. She never cared for elvish customs or their obsessions with lineage, a significant factor in her decision to leave Alf's Royal Forest. She couldn't stand how they deified her. But she couldn't shake the sense that she had abandoned her duty to protect her people.

She turned to look at her husband, Bell Cranel, whom the elves would never accept, hero or not, due to the racial prejudices of the elves. The boy had grown up. His near-naked form revealed his well-toned but sleek body. She ran her slender, elongated finger down the crevice of his back, and she reminisced about the time she read his status on his back, which revealed all of his abilities were ranked S.

Bell opened his eyes and looked at Riveria as if sensing her thoughts. He gave her a knowing smile and reassuringly stroked her hair.

"What will you do with the knowledge of my hair care?" Riveria asked.

"To appreciate your beauty," Bell responded as he pulled her in for a kiss. Riveria accepted, enjoying the familiar warmth of Bell's lips against hers.

"I never used to like being touched," she said, looking away in embarrassment.

"You do now," Bell replied as he wrapped his arms around her. "And I like it."

"I had never even kissed before until I met you, the elves were so obsessed with chastity and purity, yet they also had those arranged marriages, which made no sense to me at all. Why marry if not for love?" Riveria murmured as she snuggled up against Bell's chest.

"Riveria-san..."

Riveria relaxed into his embrace, taking comfort in the warmth of his body against hers.

"My people would have burned you at the stake for this, but now, I may not even have a people," Riveria said quietly, her voice heavy with sadness.

"I'm sure the High Elves will endure. If they're anywhere near as strong as you are,

they'll make it through," Bell assured her. "And I'll do anything I can to help."

Riveria squeezed Bell's arm tightly, drawing strength from his words and presence. "Thank you," she whispered.

"If only I was stronger..."

"Even if the world is completely destroyed, there are always things you can do in a different way. There are no absolute answers," Bell reassured her as he kissed her forehead.

"I never learned the secret of your fast growth," Riveria admitted.

"I'm nothing special," Bell replied modestly. "Just a regular adventurer who trains hard."

"No, you're extraordinary," Riveria insisted. "I'm not worthy of you."

"Don't say that," Bell said softly.

"You did more than just grow fast," Riveria said as she ran her fingers along Bell's muscular chest and arms. "You became stronger in a very short time."

Bell blushed under Riveria's scrutiny. "I just work hard," he repeated.

Riveria cupped Bell's cheek in her hand, gazing into his crimson eyes with an intensity that made him flush even brighter.

"I'm your wife, and yet there are still so many things about you that remain a complete mystery," Riveria mused. "Just promise me that whatever secret you have, you will use it for the benefit of everyone and not for yourself."

Bell nodded solemnly. "I promise."

Riveria smiled and pressed her lips against his again. "You're not my husband for nothing. A true hero."

"I just want to be worthy of your love," Bell replied with a shy smile.

Riveria traced the contours of Bell's face with her fingertips, "there are so many women that crave your love. I hope you will not give it out too easily."

Bell nodded in affirmation. "Of course not."

Riveria felt a twinge of jealousy at the thought of other women vying for Bell's attention and affection.

"Bell, will you help me rebuild my kingdom? We have already produced an heir, but this child has no kingdom to inherit."

"I'd be honored," Bell replied earnestly. "I'll do everything I can."

Riveria buried her face in Bell's chest, breathing in the familiar scent of his skin and allowing herself to be soothed by his presence.

"I still believe the power to save this world lies within you, Bell." Riveria murmured. "Please stay with me forever."

Bell smiled and kissed the top of her head. He could see the 'baby bump' starting to form on Riveria's belly. "I will," he promised.

"And you must not reveal my weakness to the public," Riveria warned. "It's a bit embarrassing to be seen like this, but I believe this child will be the most powerful elf in history."

"I can't imagine an elf more powerful than Riveria Ljos Alf, the Nine Hell. You are the most powerful mage the world has ever seen."

"I used to be, but now I'm getting fat." Riveria laughed bitterly. "The High Elves would never allow this in the royal bloodline."

Bell placed his hand on Riveria's belly, feeling the faint flutter of life beneath his fingertips.

"Eh... sorry about that..." Bell apologized as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "But it doesn't make you less beautiful."

Riveria sighed as she leaned back against Bell's chest, allowing herself to be comforted by his warmth and support.

"I think it makes you look cute," Bell added with a smile.

Riveria scowled at Bell, but he simply chuckled and kissed her cheek.

"I love you no matter what, Riveria-san."

Riveria wrapped her arms around Bell's neck, pulling him in for another kiss.

"I never thought I'd be kissing a man," Riveria admitted shyly. "Or sleeping with one."

Bell smiled as he kissed her again. "I dreamt of picking up girls in a dungeon. I never dreamed that I would ever pick up you."

"Are you referring to my weight?" Riveria glared at him.

"Not at all." Bell assured her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "It's just that you're every man's dream."

Riveria felt her face heating up at the compliment, her cheeks burning red as she buried her face in Bell's chest once more.

"I can't believe I fell for such a perverted rabbit," she muttered, but her words lacked their usual venom.

"Now you're starting to sound like Lefiya-san," Bell teased. "But I think you're a goddess in disguise."

Riveria blushed even deeper, but she couldn't deny the fluttery feeling in her stomach at Bell's words. She glanced up at him, noting the serious expression on his face.

"I don't think I could ever let you go now," Riveria admitted as she traced the outline of Bell's jaw with her fingers.

Bell smiled and pressed his lips against hers once more, sending shivers of pleasure through Riveria's body.

"I never saw myself being with any other woman than Ais-san, she was my first love," Bell confessed, blushing slightly. "But there's something about you that I can't seem to resist."

"Like what? My breasts?"

"Not quite the words I was looking for," Bell said sheepishly. "I guess I just have a thing for elves."

Riveria raised an eyebrow. "Oh? So, any elf will do?"

Bell shook his head adamantly. "No, it's only you, Riveria-san. Only you."

Riveria smiled and leaned in closer to kiss him again. "Good," she whispered against his lips.

Riveria's heart melted at the confession and the look of vulnerability on Bell's face. She couldn't help but feel the same way, a love that went beyond simple attraction or lust.

"Bell, I must ask. I'm sorry if it seems impertinent or inappropriate, but why did you choose me over Ais?" Riveria asked as she brushed a stray lock of hair from Bell's eyes.

Bell hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Well, it wasn't exactly a choice," he replied. "Destiny brought us together like it was woven into our fates. It's hard to explain."

Riveria frowned, not fully understanding. "So, it wasn't a choice?"

"We don't choose who we fall in love with. We just fall in love."

"Hmm, that's very vague."

Bell smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "It's not something I can explain, Riveria-san. Just trust me."

Riveria buried her face in Bell's chest once more, inhaling his comforting scent and allowing herself to relax in his embrace.

"I can't imagine not having you in my life anymore," Bell whispered as he stroked her hair.

Riveria's eyes widened at his words, her heart beating rapidly in her chest.

"But Ais is much more beautiful and far younger than me."

"She is indeed beautiful," Bell agreed. "But I wouldn't trade you for anyone else. Not even Ais-san."

Riveria shivered as Bell's hands traveled down her back, tracing patterns across her skin. She inhaled sharply as his fingers dipped lower, brushing against the hem of her panties.

"Bell," Riveria gasped as Bell's fingers teased at her sensitive areas, sending waves of pleasure through her body. "Control yourself! I'm already pregnant!"

"I'm sorry, Riveria-san," Bell apologized sheepishly. "But I just love you so much."

Riveria felt the heat rising in her cheeks, her body responding to Bell's touch with an intensity that took her breath away.

"I can't believe this," she whispered as Bell's lips found hers once more. "We're a mess. Oh, Aina, I'm a disgrace to the elves!"

"It's not your fault," Bell assured her between kisses. "We just can't help ourselves around each other."

Riveria could only nod, her words failing her as she melted into Bell's embrace.

"I don't think my father would approve of this." Riveria confessed.

"Your father. What is he like?" Bell asked as he planted gentle kisses down Riveria's neck and across her collarbone.

"Stubborn. Stuffy. Proper. Narrow-minded. Controlling. I couldn't wait to get away from him."

"Sounds like you don't have a good relationship with him," Bell mused.

"He hated the outside world, believing that it was a barbaric place, and forbade me from learning anything about it." Riveria explained.

"And that's why you ran away?"

Riveria nodded. "I ran away with my chamberlain."

"Aina?"

Riveria nodded again, recalling the memories of her old friend.

"The guards pursued us, and we were almost captured. They wanted Aina to be executed." Riveria's voice trembled slightly as she remembered the terrifying experience. "But we encountered Loki and Finn, who just happened to be in the forest, looking for an elf to recruit to their familia. They saved us."

"I see." Bell replied softly, his face full of understanding and compassion.

"Since then, I've dedicated my life to being at Finn's side," Riveria continued. "I was a different person back then; an arrogant princess who knew nothing of the world."

"And now you're the Nine Hell," Bell remarked with a smile. "The greatest mage in the world. I guess Loki changed you for the better."

Riveria nodded, feeling a rush of gratitude toward Loki and Finn for taking her in and giving her a new life.

"Have you spoken to your father since then?" Bell asked.

"Not a lot. Now I fear I never will again." Riveria sighed deeply before looking at Bell with tears in her eyes. "Back then, I thought I hated him, but he only did what he thought was best for me."

Bell placed his hand on Riveria's cheek, brushing away a tear that had fallen.

"He spoiled me greatly but never granted me any freedom. But you, Bell Cranel, finally set me free from the blinkered ways of the High Elves; you taught me that love and sex were not sins. And I want to have two half-elf daughters, just like Aina did." Riveria cried out loud. "I am so tired of the high-and-mighty rituals of my people! All the males I knew were merely interested in bedding me to secure their status or for breeding purposes!"

Bell winced at Riveria's words, sensing the deep-rooted pain beneath them. He held her close, stroking her hair soothingly and trying to convey his love and support without words.

"Bell, I was so naive I left Alf's Royal Forest," Riveria confessed as she buried her face in his chest. "I was sheltered from the outside world and only knew the culture of my own people, I was groomed to be the perfect queen."

"And you are perfect to me." Bell whispered into her ear. "Don't you dare think otherwise."

Riveria clutched at Bell's chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she tried to hold back the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm her.

"And now, it's all gone. Tyratryx has completely laid waste to my home, to my people... and I still can't forgive myself for the part I played in this destruction." Riveria choked out as she sobbed. "Why was I such a fool?"

Bell held Riveria in his arms, trying to provide some measure of comfort and support amidst the storm of emotions raging within her.

"Riveria, I love you. Ais-san loves you. Your familia loves you. Your goddess loves. Your people love you. And I'm sure your father loved you, too." Bell reassured her as he cradled her in his arms and wiped away her tears with his thumb.

"Even if we are trapped in this dungeon with no hope of escaping, we can at least share this moment together," Bell continued as he kissed Riveria on the lips tenderly. "I want to be your hero, Riveria. I want to protect you and our child."

Riveria gazed at Bell, her green eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and gratitude. Her heart swelled with love and admiration for the man in front of her.

"I'm going to defeat Medusa and save everyone. I promise." Bell vowed as he held Riveria's hand gently.

"Thank you, Bell," Riveria whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "I will follow you anywhere."

Riveria leaned in close, pressing her lips against Bell's and tasting the salty tears on his lips.

"Tyratryx... she'll never allow our child to be born. She'll kill our unborn baby and me." Riveria's voice trembled as she spoke, her body shaking with fear and uncertainty. "This is the destiny I've chosen, Bell Cranel. It's too late to go back now."

Bell's hands wrapped around Riveria's waist and pulled her close, her body molding perfectly against his as they lay on the bedroll together. He kissed her tenderly, pouring his love and devotion into that single act.

"I will protect you. I promise you. And our baby will be born in safety," Bell said, his crimson eyes blazing with determination.

Riveria gave a weak smile, resting her head on Bell's chest and feeling the rhythmic thumping of his heartbeat against her ear.

"And we'll have even more babies!" Bell said happily as he smiled at Riveria, revealing his cute and innocent nature once more.

Riveria's eyes widened in shock at Bell's words, but she couldn't deny the fluttery feeling in her stomach at the thought of having more children with Bell.

"B-Bell! We are trapped in this dungeon... how can you say such a thing? What will others think?"

Bell chuckled and kissed Riveria's forehead lovingly. "What others will think does not matter, Riveria-san. The only thing that matters is our love for each other."

Riveria could feel herself blushing furiously as she looked up at Bell with awe and adoration in her eyes. She had never met a man so willing to lay down his life for the people he loved, and she knew that no matter what happened, she would follow him to the ends of the earth.

"Bell..." Riveria murmured as she cupped his face with her delicate elvish hands.

"I know," Bell replied softly, brushing his thumb over her cheek and gazing into her emerald green eyes. "I love you, Riveria Ljos Alf, and I will do everything in my power to keep you safe and give you the life you deserve."

Riveria wrapped her arms around Bell's neck, pulling him in for another passionate kiss and losing herself in the heat and intensity of his love for her.

"I'll do everything I can to make you happy, Riveria."

Riveria lay beside Bell, her heart a tumultuous mix of emotions. She felt his warmth, his heartbeat steady against her ear. The tenderness in his touch, the sincerity in his words—it all wrapped around her like a protective cocoon. Despite the darkness surrounding them, she felt a flicker of hope ignited by his unwavering resolve.

Bell's promise to protect her and their unborn child echoed in her mind. His determination was infectious, and for the first time since Tyratryx's attack, Riveria allowed herself to believe that they could emerge from this nightmare unscathed. She raised her head to look at Bell, her eyes glistening with tears yet filled with a newfound resolve.

"Bell," she whispered, her voice steadying as she spoke. "Thank you for being my light in this darkness. For giving me hope when I thought all was lost."

Bell's hand gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. "We will get through this together, Riveria. I won't let anything happen to you or our child."

Riveria nodded, drawing strength from Bell's conviction. She knew the road ahead would be fraught with danger and challenges, but with Bell by her side, she felt capable of facing whatever lay ahead. The love they shared was a beacon guiding them through the darkness.

As they lay there, Riveria's mind drifted back to the days of training and camaraderie with Loki Familia. The bonds forged through countless battles and shared hardships had become an integral part of her life. Now, with Bell's promise echoing in her heart, she felt those bonds strengthen even further.

She thought of Ais, Tiona, Tione, and Lefiya—each of them vital members of their family who had stood by her through thick and thin. Riveria knew that they would fight tooth and nail to protect their familia and the future they all believed in.

Riveria sighed contentedly as she nestled closer to Bell. The future was uncertain, but she had faith in their collective strength and determination. Together, they would face Medusa and Tyratryx and reclaim what had been taken from them.

"I love you," Riveria murmured against Bell's chest.

"I love you too," Bell replied softly, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

With that final affirmation of their bond, Riveria closed her eyes and allowed herself to rest. For now, they had each other—and that was enough to give her the courage to face whatever came next.

"Bell-kun! It is I! I've come to save you!"

"Goddess!?" Bell shouted as he woke up with a start.

He knew that shrill voice. It was of his Goddess Hestia. Without thinking, he bolted out of the tent to greet her.

"How did you get here? Are you alright?"

Hestia wiped the sweat from her forehead, heaving a huge sigh of relief. She placed her hands on her hips as she faced Bell with a proud smirk on her face.

"Bell-kun! My Bell is all grown-up! And he's got no clothes on!" Hestia remarked proudly with a knowing wink.

"Eh...?" Bell flushed red as he realized that he was close to stark naked in front of his Goddess.

"This is like a dream come true! My Bell has grown up to be the most handsome man, and he's got no clothes on!" Hestia sidled up to Bell's side and pinched his cheek, eliciting a yelp of surprise from the boy. "Feels real enough to me!"

"Goddess, I'm married! I mean... whoops... uh-oh..."

"M-M-Married!?" Hestia gasped, her eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets. "To who?"

Bell gulped nervously, averting his gaze from Hestia's piercing blue eyes. He scratched his head sheepishly as he tried to think of an answer to his Goddess' question.

"Calm yourself, Goddess Hestia," Riveria said as she emerged from the tent, covering herself up with a robe. "He is married to me."

Hestia stared at Riveria, taking in her disheveled appearance and the slight baby bump on her belly. Her eyes darted between Bell and Riveria, her jaw dropping as realization dawned upon her.

"B-Bell-kun... How could you?" Hestia's voice trembled with barely concealed anger. "You... You had sex with this elvish... woman...!? What were you thinking?!"

"What'ya been doin' to my Riveria, boy?" Loki asked as she appeared beside Hestia, glaring at Bell with her arms crossed over her chest.

"L-Loki-sama?!" Bell stuttered, his face flushing redder than ever before. "No, I'm just..."

"I'm gonna cut yer balls off! Yer a dead man walking, boy!" Loki pointed a finger accusingly at Bell.

Bell stood frozen in place, too terrified to even speak. He was a rabbit surrounded by two lionesses ready to pounce on him at any moment.

"Loki, stop this foolishness at once!" Riveria ordered sternly. "I married this boy myself!"

"You shoulda saved a piece of that ass for me, boy!" Loki hissed venomously at Bell before turning her attention towards Riveria. "And what in blazes are ya doin' in a tent with this boy while yer belly's stickin' out like that?"

"I'm pregnant!" Riveria exclaimed defiantly as she placed a protective hand over her belly. "This child is Bell's! And I shall bear it!"

Loki and Hestia exchanged furious looks before marching up to Riveria and grabbing hold of her by the arms.

"Ya should've come ta me for help with that problem!" Loki snapped at Riveria. "How could ya let yerself get knocked up by a rabbit boy?"

"High Elf-kun, explain yourself! You had your way with my Bell, didn't you? Now tell me!" Hestia demanded angrily. "Is my Bell a daddy?"

Riveria attempted to break free from Loki's grip, but the latter held firm. "I chose him! And I love him!" Riveria proclaimed loudly.

Hestia's face reddened with rage. "You're a disgrace to all elves!" Hestia screamed at Riveria. "You've deflowered my Bell! An innocent boy from a familia of a virgin goddess! How could you?"

"Let go of me!" Riveria struggled in vain against Loki's firm grasp, her elvish pride not allowing her to submit to either of the two goddesses.

"Ya naughty elf, now I'll have ta punish ya!" Loki said as her hands began drifting towards Riveria's chest in an attempt to fondle her curvaceous breasts.

"Yeoowww! Foiled yet again!" Loki screamed in pain as Riveria gave her a backhanded blow across the face that sent her reeling backwards.

"Don't you dare try and grope my mother, Goddess Loki."

A young, white-haired half-elf woman stood behind Loki and Hestia, her presence commanding yet comforting. There was something achingly familiar about her—a sense of connection that went beyond the immediate. The camp fell silent, all eyes drawn to the newcomers.

"Eirlys?" Hestia muttered in disbelief.

"Everyone," Loki announced, breaking the tension with a sweeping gesture. "We've got a helluva surprise for you."

Hestia nodded, her expression uncharacteristically serious. "Eirlys has something important to share."

"My name is Eirlys Ljos Alf-Cranel, born from the union of Riveria Ljos Alf and Bell Cranel. In other words, I am their currently unborn child."

"""""""Say what?!""""""" Everyone exclaimed in disbelief. Gasps rippled through the group. Riveria's heart skipped a beat as she processed Eirlys' words. She felt Bell's hand tighten around hers.

"It can't be! Is that even possible?" Bell cried out. "But... she's not even born yet! How can she even talk to us?"

"What nonsense are ya sprouting, girl?" Gareth asked suspiciously. "Are ya tryin' ta pull one over on us?"

"I assure you, my words are true," Eirlys said calmly as she faced the others with a reassuring smile.

Eirlys stepped forward, her gaze meeting Riveria's with a mixture of love and resolve. "Mother," she began softly, her voice carrying the weight of untold years and untold stories. "Father." Her eyes flicked to Bell, who stood rooted to the spot in disbelief.

Eirlys took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving Riveria's. "It's true," she said clearly, "I am your daughter from the future."

"So it's true," Riveria whispered as she wrapped her arms around Eirlys, tears streaming down her face. "You're here."

"Yes Mama, I'm here."

"Who are you calling Mama?"

"You're my Mama, Mama!"

Bell, who had been standing there with his mouth hanging open, finally seemed to regain his senses. He rushed over and threw his arms around both women. Tears streamed down his face as he laughed joyfully and hugged them both tightly.

"You really are Mama Riveria!" Loki said, wiping away a tear with a smile on her face.

Riveria blushed a deep shade of red at Loki's words but remained silent, choosing instead to lean into Bell's embrace and savor the moment of joy in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty surrounding them.

"But... how did you find us?" Bell asked.

"The bond I share with my unborn self allowed me to locate you," Eirlys explained gently. "Through that connection, I could traverse time and find you here."

Riveria's mind whirled with questions and emotions. She could hardly believe what she was hearing—yet every instinct told her it was true. The sense of familiarity she felt around Eirlys was undeniable.

Eirlys continued, addressing everyone now. "I came back to help you defeat Tyratryx and ensure our future remains intact." She paused, looking at each member of their group with determination. "The bond between us is strong enough to guide me here, but it's your courage and unity that will carry us forward."

Riveria's eyes welled up with tears as she absorbed the gravity of Eirlys' revelation. Her daughter—her future daughter—stood before them, ready to fight alongside them against an unimaginable threat.

"We will protect our future," Riveria said softly but firmly, squeezing Bell's hand for strength.

Loki grinned mischievously despite the somber moment. "Guess you two really are full of surprises."

Ais was the first to step forward, her expression a mix of awe and admiration. "You came here to save us?"

Eirlys nodded, smiling warmly at the woman she thought of as a sister. "And to fight at your side."

"It's a white-haired Riveria!" Tiona exclaimed with delight, earning a sharp jab from Tione.

"Quiet," Tione hissed. "Can't you see this is a serious situation?"

Tiona pouted but remained silent as Eirlys spoke again.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but I need you to trust me." Eirlys met everyone's gaze one by one, her eyes shining with conviction. "Our future depends on it."

Riveria felt the weight of those words settle over her, a mix of excitement and apprehension bubbling up inside her. They had come so far—they couldn't give up now. Not when they were so close to freedom and salvation.

"S-She's a goddess!" Lefiya cried out in wonder. "Bell Cranel!"

"Y-Yes?" Bell said sheepishly, bracing himself for another diatribe.

"I was wrong about you. Your daughter is... "

"Beautiful, isn't she?" Riveria said proudly as she looked at Eirlys with a motherly smile on her face.

"Clearly got her good looks for her Mama," Loki teased playfully.

"And my Bell's cuteness!" Hestia chimed in, still glaring daggers at Riveria.

Riveria smirked at the two goddesses. "Our daughter is the most beautiful in the world."

"She is indeed beautiful," Alicia agreed, her expression softening as she looked at Eirlys. "She's a spitting image of yourself."

Lefiya nodded in agreement. "And she's so tall!"

"As tall as Riveria!" Tiona chimed in excitedly.

Riveria blushed slightly, feeling a surge of pride at the compliments being showered on her daughter. "Thank you," she said graciously, doing her best to keep her composure despite the overwhelming emotions swirling inside her.

Eirlys smiled and hugged Riveria and Bell tightly once more. "I'm so happy to finally meet you, Mama, Papa."

"Well, ain't this a sight for sore eyes?" Finn interjected as he joined them with Gareth and Ais. "Now this is a force to be reckoned with!"

"This is incredible! The elves will be delighted!" Lefiya was bouncing with excitement now.

Loki gave Eirlys's breasts a quick squeeze.

"Yep, those are Riveria's all right," Loki said as she gave Riveria a knowing wink. "Same cup size, just like yer mama."

Riveria huffed and punched Loki in the stomach, making the goddess double over in pain.

"Serves you right!" Riveria snapped angrily as Loki clutched her stomach with tears in her eyes.

"Wow, Mama is strong," Eirlys murmured in admiration as she watched the spectacle unfold before her eyes.

Bell's face had turned pale and his hands were trembling.

Riveria's heart swelled with a mix of pride, joy, and trepidation as she looked at Eirlys, her daughter from the future. The revelation had left everyone stunned, but Riveria knew in her heart that it was true. The connection she felt with Eirlys was undeniable, and there was no doubt in her mind that this girl was her child from the future.

Riveria squeezed Eirlys' hand in her own, vowing silently to do everything in her power to protect her child—past, present, and future.

As the initial shock wore off, the group began to pepper Eirlys with questions about the future and their battle against Tyratryx. Riveria listened intently, trying to glean as much information as possible while also marveling at her daughter's poise and intelligence.

"I come from one possible future, but that future is in jeopardy," she explained. "Tyratryx, or Medusa rather, will kill me whilst I'm still in mother's womb, and she will succeed unless we stop her. And I will never exist."

"Eirlys, dear, you shouldn't worry," Riveria reassured her future daughter. "We'll protect you and your unborn self."

"Indeed. This familia always sticks together," Finn agreed with a confident smile on his face.

"There is only one thing that can be done," Eirlys explained. "You must destroy Tyratryx first."

"Easier said than done," Gareth grumbled. "She's a powerful foe, made even stronger from all the magic she's leeched from the dungeon."

"Do you know the location of her lair, Cor Vilgium?" Finn asked.

"I'm afraid I don't," she said glumly. "The entrance to her lair is not in a fixed location. It moves."

Finn's brow furrowed in thought as he contemplated their next move. "It's possible that she's using the dungeon's shifting properties to hide herself," he mused.

"Correct. You'll only be able to pin it down using the Eye. You already have one shard. I trust that the Vespyads told you where you can find the other three?" Eirlys asked as she looked at Finn questioningly.

Finn nodded. "They did indeed. They even provided us with maps."

"Good. The remaining three shards are held by three of Tyratryx's most trusted and feared minions, in strongholds that are said to be mini-dungeons in of themselves, on the 44th, 51st and 59th floors." Eirlys explained. "Once you retrieve the three shards and assemble the Eye, it will reveal the entrance to Tyratryx's lair."

"Seems like we have our work cut out for us," Gareth remarked wryly.

"One of the monsters that holds one shard is Arachnogorgon - a replica of Medusa's head that crawls around on spider legs."

"We had a running with that thing," Finn sighed as he recalled their encounter with the monster.

"It's the gatekeeper to its mistress' lair. So the faster you deal with it, the better," Eirlys replied matter-of-factly. "Another monster that guards another shard is Pyromyria - a giant centipede like monster engulfed in flames."

"Didn't know they could make that kinda monster in the dungeon," Tiona muttered under her breath. "That's gross."

"And the last monster is Tritonova, the Queen of the Archyads."

"Ah, our old friend." Finn remarked as he recalled the time when they had faced off against Tritonova before.

"Good luck getting the shard from her," Eirlys said solemnly. "She's not easy to kill."

"I would know. She has already bested me once before." Finn grimaced as he remembered his previous defeat at the hands of the Queen of the Archyads.

"It'll take more than just Finn to defeat Tritonova," Riveria remarked grimly.

"Fortunately, you may not have to face her directly," Eirlys explained. "She doesn't always like getting her hands dirty, and Tyratryx always needs her at her side. So there's a good chance she will delegate the task to a lesser minion."

"Great, so we gotta take on some weakling monster instead?" Tiona asked hopefully.

"Unfortunately, no," Eirlys replied flatly. "The monsters that guard the shards are not exactly weaklings."

"Figures," Tiona sighed in disappointment.

"I'm sorry, Eirlys-san, but I am not too familiar with these monsters," Lefiya interjected cautiously. "Could you tell me more about them?"

"Of course. I'm sure you've already met Arachnogorgon and Tritonova, but Pyromyria has an alternate form called Cryomyria - which uses ice magic instead of fire. When fighting this monster, make the most of your surroundings."

Lefiya nodded eagerly, absorbing the information like a sponge.

"Once you've retrieved all three shards and assembled the Eye, it will point to the exact location of Tyratryx's lair," Eirlys explained further.

"We need to focus on retrieving the shards first and then assembling the Eye," Finn declared. "Only then will we have a chance at defeating Tyratryx once and for all."

"Indeed, but then the real adventure begins - Tyatryx's lair consists of one hundred floors. So while we cannot know the true challenge that awaits us there, we can prepare as best we can for whatever comes next," Eirlys said seriously.

Riveria placed a hand on her daughter's shoulder and smiled reassuringly. "I have faith in Finn, and I know that he will lead us through this trial with courage and strength."

"We're all counting on ya, Cap'n!" Gareth bellowed as he slapped Finn heartily on the back.

Finn grimaced slightly but then returned the gesture with a smile. "Well, we've come this far. No turning back now."

Eirlys stepped forward and placed her hand on Finn's other shoulder, joining the group in solidarity.

Riveria's mind raced with the implications of Eirlys' words. She knew that the road ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, but she also knew that they had no other choice. This was their only chance at freedom, and they had to take it.

Loki's playful teasing about Eirlys' resemblance to Riveria brought a smile to her face, even as she chastised the goddess for her inappropriate behavior.

As the camp settled down, Riveria and Bell began setting up their tent. The air between them was charged with a mix of excitement and nervousness, both still reeling from the knowledge that their future daughter had traveled through time to help them.

Bell's hands trembled slightly as he helped Riveria lay out their bedrolls, his face flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and desire. Riveria felt her own heart racing as she moved closer to him, craving the comfort of his touch.

"Bell," she whispered softly, her voice trembling with emotion. "I want to spend the night with you, just the two of us."

"R-Riveria-san?" Bell stuttered nervously, his cheeks reddening even further.

Riveria was struck by the innocence of his reaction, despite everything they had been through together.

"Just don't tell Ais, or Eirlys," Riveria whispered huskily, her eyes flashing with a mischievous glint as she pulled Bell down into the bedroll with her.

Bell's eyes widened in surprise but he quickly acquiesced, unable to resist Riveria's alluring proposition.

Just as their lips were about to meet, a familiar voice interrupted them.

"Mama! Papa! Can I sleep with you tonight?" Eirlys asked, her eyes wide and pleading.

Riveria and Bell jumped apart, both blushing furiously at being caught in such an intimate moment by their future daughter.

"Eirlys, sweetheart," Riveria began gently, "your father and I were just..."

"Please, Mama?" Eirlys pouted, her lower lip trembling slightly. "I miss you so much."

Riveria felt her resolve waver as she looked at Eirlys' precious little face, her heart aching with the overwhelming love and affection she felt for her child.

Before either of them could respond, another voice chimed in.

"Can I join too?" Ais asked softly, her eyes downcast. "I... I don't want to be alone tonight."

Riveria's maternal instincts kicked into overdrive as she saw the vulnerability in Ais' expression. She knew that the young woman had been through just as much emotional turmoil as the rest of them, and she couldn't bear to turn her away.

Bell sighed, running a hand through his hair as he looked at Riveria apologetically. "I guess we'll have to continue this later," he whispered, his voice low and husky.

Riveria nodded, her cheeks flushed with a mixture of disappointment and amusement. "It seems my daughters need us more than we need each other right now," she murmured back, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.

As Eirlys and Ais settled into the tent beside them, Riveria found herself grateful for their company—even if it meant postponing her intimate plans with Bell.

Despite the looming danger and uncertainty of their predicament, Riveria couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and hope as she drifted off to sleep surrounded by her family and their unborn child. T

"Goodnight, Mama, Papa, Ais-chan." Eirlys said as she nestled between Riveria and Bell. "And goodnight unborn me."

Riveria smiled and leaned over to kiss Eirlys' forehead gently, her heart swelling with love and pride for her daughter.

Later that night, Eirlys and Ais were both fast asleep. Riveria, her heart pounding, saw her chance to finally have an intimate moment with Bell.

"Now is our chance, Bell Cranel. Come here." Riveria ordered Bell in a whispered tone, her eyes flashing with mischief and desire. "My body is calling for you."

"O-Okay, Riveria-san!" Bell stuttered as he joined her in the bedroll, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment and anticipation.

Their eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them. Bell leaned in, his face inches from hers, and she closed her eyes, anticipating the warmth of his lips. But just as their kiss was about to begin, an unexpected intrusion shattered the moment.

"L-Loki!?" Riveria gasped in disbelief as Loki popped her head out of the blankets between her and Bell.

"What's goin' on here?" Loki asked mischievously.

Riveria's eyes flew open, her heart sinking as she realized their intimate moment had been ruined. In her shock, she didn't have time to react before Loki's face was mere inches from her own. The goddess's lips pressed against hers, stealing the kiss that had been meant for Bell. Riveria recoiled, her eyes wide with disbelief and anger.

"Naughty elf! Never knew ya had in ya," Loki teased as she cackled gleefully.

Riveria shot up from the bedroll, her face flushed with rage and embarrassment. She clenched her fists tightly at her sides as she glared daggers at Loki.

"Loki, what are you doing?!" she demanded, her voice low and dangerous.

Loki just laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she turned to Bell, planting a kiss on his lips as well. "I got lonely, so I wanted to join in," she said, winking at them both.

Riveria felt her anger boiling over. How dare Loki interrupt their moment like this? And how dare she kiss Bell, too? Riveria's hands clenched into fists at her sides, her jade eyes flashing with fury.

"Loki, I swear, if you don't leave right now..." she began, her voice shaking with rage.

"Oh, come on, Riveria!" Loki waved dismissively. "Don't be so uptight! This is the Dungeon - anything goes!"

"Anything goes?! I'm pregnant, you perverted goddess! Go back to sleep!" Riveria roared furiously as she advanced towards Loki threateningly, ready to pounce on her with a fire-infused fist of elvish justice.

Bell reached out, grasping Riveria's arm gently and holding her back.

"Riveria - please, you'll wake up Ais-san and Eirlys-san," he pleaded.

"B-But... but... she ruined our moment, Bell Cranel!"

"I don't mind," Bell shrugged innocently. "Besides, there will be other chances."

Riveria felt herself melt at Bell's words, her anger subsiding slightly as she took in his handsome features illuminated by the soft glow of the magic stones.

"Aw, but I wanted a threesome!" Loki complained playfully.

Riveria than began to chant.

"R-Riveria! Don't do that in here, you'll burn down the whole camp!" Bell pleaded.

Riveria stopped casting and just glared at Loki furiously.

"Come on! Just for fun! A little elvish ménage a trois! Ooh la la!" Loki winked as she caressed Riveria's thighs seductively.

"Hey! Leave my wife alone!"

"You want some too, boy? Yer Goddess is in a givin' mood!" Loki teased as she drew closer to Bell and cupped his face firmly in her hand.

"S-Stop this immediately!" Riveria whispered angrily. "You will not have my Bell Cranel!"

Loki pouted, her bottom lip jutting out in a exaggerated gesture of disappointment. "Fine," she said, rolling her eyes. "I'll leave you two lovebirds alone. But don't think this is the end of our little game, Riveria."

With that, she disappeared as suddenly as she had appeared, leaving Riveria and Bell alone once again. Riveria let out a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She turned to Bell, her eyes searching his face for any sign of what he might be thinking.

"I'm sorry about that," he said, his voice soft.

Riveria shook her head, her anger fading away. "It's not your fault," she said, managing a small smile. "Loki is...well, she's Loki."

Bell chuckled, his own tension easing. "That she is," he said, his eyes meeting Riveria's once again.

The moment between them had been interrupted, but the connection was still there. Riveria felt her heart flutter as she gazed into Bell's eyes, knowing that their bond was stronger than any interruption. And as they leaned in once again, their lips finally meeting in a long-awaited kiss, she knew that nothing could come between them.

Riveria listened intently as Finn announced their departure to claim the second shard of the Eye. Their next destination was the 44th floor of the dungeon, where they would face Arachnogorgon in its stronghold.

"It is a Dungeon dive our familia has experienced many times before. However, this time it will be different." F

Finn explained that the dungeon's current state was weakened, its magic being sapped by Tyratryx's growing power. As a result, the dungeon's ability to spawn monsters had been severely diminished. But this did not mean their journey would be any easier. Instead of facing the dungeon's natural inhabitants, they would have to contend with Tyratryx's forces, which had infiltrated the labyrinthine depths.

"Tyratryx is the evolved form of Medusa, in fact, when this incarnation of Medusa was born, I'd argue it was simply Tyratryx in her infancy, a more powerful and malevolent transformation of the monster we once knew as Medusa. The decision to go by the name of Tyratryx symbolizes her desire to cut ties with the past when she was known as Medusa." Finn explained solemnly as everyone listened attentively to every word he said.

"The name Tyratryx was an ancient name given to her by the Vespyads. She simply adopted and embraced this name which brought terror upon all that heard it. The tragic past of Medusa was something she wanted to do away with."

"So... are we killing Medusa or Tyratryx?" Tione asked quizzically.

Finn chuckled at her question, the serious expression on his face dissolving into a soft smile.

"We are killing both, as Medusa and Tyratryx are one and the same. In fact, I'd wager Medusa no longer exists at all. The Tyratryx persona has completely taken over."

"That's one wicked monster." Tiona muttered.

"It is indeed," Finn agreed, his expression sobering once again. "She has become a dark and twisted being—a force of pure evil that must be stopped at all costs."

Riveria's mind raced as she considered the implications of this information. The dungeon's weakened state could work in their favor, allowing them to conserve their strength for the battles ahead. However, the presence of Tyratryx's minions added an unpredictable element to their mission. These creatures, born from the blood of Tyratryx herself, would undoubtedly be formidable foes.

As Finn continued to outline their strategy, Riveria found herself instinctively reaching for Bell's hand. The warmth of his touch provided a sense of comfort and reassurance amidst the looming dangers.

"Hestia, Loki, you should return to the surface as soon as possible." Finn insisted.

"Ain't happenin'," Loki retorted. "We're seein' this through to the end."

Hestia nodded in agreement, her expression uncharacteristically solemn. "We're in this together," she said firmly.

Finn sighed but made no further protest, knowing that there was no arguing with the two goddesses once their minds were made up.

"Goddess! You can't! It's too dangerous!" Bell exclaimed, his concern for Hestia clear in his voice.

Hestia patted Bell on the head, smiling at him affectionately. "I've got you and Riveria to look out for me," she said softly. "And besides, it's no safer up there for me than it is down here: Kleptos is back."

"!"

Bell was stunned into silence. The memory of Hestia being used as a host by Kleptos, a shapeshifting monster created by Medusa herself that parasitized gods, is still fresh in his mind.

Riveria was surprised by the revelation. She remembered that incident well—how could she forget it? Her concern for Bell's safety had only grown since that day, and now his own goddess was in danger once again.

"Kleptos will stop at nothing to get me. Even if I try to leave this dungeon, he'll find me." Hestia's voice trembled slightly as she spoke. "My only hope is to defeat Tyratryx once and for all."

"She's right," Eirlys added. "Kleptos tried to take Hestia as a host on the surface. I foiled his plan, but he won't stop at this."

"Damn that monster!" Bell cursed. "I'll kill him!"

"Slow down, boy," Loki interjected. "First, we gotta deal with the big bad tyrant herself."

"Well said, Loki," Finn remarked, his voice filled with renewed determination. "And don't forget, we need to protect our Riveria and her unborn child as well, or else Eirlys will not be standing here at all, and Hestia will simply be Kleptos's vessel right now."

Riveria's thoughts turned to their unborn child, the precious life growing within her. She placed a protective hand over her stomach, silently vowing to do everything in her power to ensure their safety. The knowledge that their future daughter, Eirlys, had traveled through time to aid them only strengthened her resolve.

Looking around at her companions, Riveria saw the determination etched on their faces. Ais, Lefiya, Tiona, Tione, and Asfi all stood ready, their weapons and skills honed for the battles to come. Even Loki and Hestia seemed determined to see things through to the end, their resolve unwavering in the face of such overwhelming odds.

Bell squeezed Riveria's hand gently, reassuringly, as he looked at her with eyes full of love and determination. "I will never leave your side, Riveria."

"Thank you, Bell," Riveria whispered, a fluttering feeling rising up in her chest. "Thank you."

With that, they set off, their hearts united in purpose. They would fight for their freedom, for their future, for their familia and their love.
