Now, Fang Yuan was no longer selling, but buying on Yellow Treasure Heaven.
He had seen a few things of interest.
An Immortal from the Eastern Sea was selling Emotion Lilies - Rank 5 Emotion Path refinement materials in the form of flowers that required emotions to stimulate growth.
Ordinarily Wisdom Path Gu Masters could use Emotion Path techniques to rear them as their own emotions were not enough to stimulate their growth - but Fang Yuan's aperture was filled with humans; the lilies would grow well within his White Heaven.
"Two Immortal Essence Stones," the seller requested.
"Two stones? For only 10,000? Please at least raise the quantity," Fang Yuan urged.
"I am afraid the price is non-negotiable," came the reply.
Fang Yuan considered the matter. There was a monopoly on most goods within Yellow Treasure Heaven - his own Ambition Gu were a good example of such. Many times one could only find at most two or three sellers for a particular item. In such a case, they could dictate whatever price they wanted.
It didn't seem this Immortal was in any hurry to sell them either. With that said, Fang Yuan didn't necessarily need to buy them. Fang Yuan wouldn't have agreed to such a deal if this had been his past life. Just because something was limited in production didn't make it valuable.
However, the value of goods was also seen in how much one use could extract from them.
Fang Yuan was an Emotion Path Great Grandmaster now, greatly increasing the value Emotion Lilies could provide to him.
He bought 10,000 of them for two Immortal Essence Stones.
Fang Yuan placed them within White Heaven.
The lilies initially started out as white, but would change colors based on the emotions they collected. With so many people gathered below, their petals began to quickly change colors. If they picked up sadness, they would turn blue, if they picked up anger, they would turn red, and if they picked up disgust they would turn green, etc. Once they were filled with emotions, they would release pollen and start increasing in size. The number of petals they had corresponded to their rank - these lilies all had five petals on them, marking them as Rank 5 refinement materials.
With time, if Fang Yuan continued to grow them to around 100,000, six-petalled Emotion Lilies might appear which were Immortal Materials.
Not only that, but the more of them there were, the greater the likelihood that Emotion Path gu worms would being appearing in the patch of Emotion Lilies. Given how much space there was in his aperture's White Heaven, they had ample room and ample emotions to grow with.
Within a few decades, this could end up being quite profitable to Fang Yuan either to sell or to use.
Next, he looked for Pill Path inheritances. He wanted to build upon the one he found in the Immortal Apothecary's Blessed Land while in the dream. Though he had absorbed much of the teaching there, there was a limit to how much a mortal could learn in a short span of time. That was why he was only a quasi-Master.
With a more complete inheritance and methods to learn faster as a Gu Immortal, he could potentially become a Pill Path Master.
"I will offer 10 Immortal Essence Stones for an incomplete Pill Path Mortal Inheritance," Fang Yuan announced.
He found no buyers.
"And I will offer 15 Immortal Essence Stones for a complete Pill Path Mortal Inheritance," he continued.
Still no buyers.
So he could forget about finding an Immortal Inheritance for the time being. That said, this didn't meant that people didn't exist who had such inheritances - only that they were not willing to part with them for such sums. Circumstances could always change however, and there was the chance that someone might agree in the future.
Fang Yuan however, did not need this quite so badly and saw no point in raising his bid.
Then, he looked for methods to repair his soul.
He no longer had access to Guts Gu through the Goody Two-Shoes System so he needed different methods.
He bought a large number of Soul Remnant Gu - Rank 2 and Rank 3 Gu worms used to strengthen the soul. Soul Remnant Gu were formed from fragmented souls, oftentimes left behind after more violent soul-searching methods. They could repair one's soul, but came with the drawback that one would be assaulted with the memories and emotions of the people the souls had come from.
Needless to say these would not be happy memories and could sometimes be overwhelming particularly to mortal Gu Masters. There was also a limit on how much one could use them, further hampering their widespread usage.
It was an irony that Fang Yuan was sitting within Paradise Earth's territory and trading souls.
The Soul Path required a large number of souls to progress, usually obtained via killing.
When Spectral Soul had reigned as a Demonic Venerable, it had been a miserable time for living organisms in the gu world. Death was commonplace as Soul Path cultivators needed large numbers of victims to fuel their cultivation.
Heaven was fair and balanced though - Spectral Soul Demonic Venerable was followed by Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable who brought peace to the world and greatly limited the trade of souls. Not to say that it still didn't go on, but it had been greatly limited.
Which is why Fang Yuan couldn't help but laugh coldly while doing so essentially in Paradise Earths' backyard.
Fang Yuan did not intend to use the Soul Remnant Gu directly, as they could be contaminated and risked harming his soul.
The southern region of his Immortal Aperture had a group of islands. Many of the Puppet Path and Profession-type Human Path gu worms were kept there as for some reason the ordinary humans didn't like them - so Fang Yuan had to sequester them to prevent them from being destroyed.
It was here that one could find gu worms like more Doctor Gu, Thief Gu, and Policeman Gu.
What Fang Yuan was interested in though was finding Apothecary Gu.
These people could assist in the formation of pills.
Soul Remnant Gu was one of the ingredients of Soul Revival Pill Gu - with the refinement, the negative emotions and experiences would be wiped clean. Also, if there had been any tampering done to Soul Remnant Gu, it would be cleared away as well.
Using Apothecary Gu was not as useful as doing it himself - he had only a limited number of them, and they tended to only be good at refining pills about a rank below their own level.
As such, they could only make Rank 2 and Rank 3 Soul Revival Pill Gu.
But that was fine, as one of the benefits of Pill Path gu worms was that they could be stacked upon each other.
Fang Yuan used a few of them - they did not need to be digested and could simply be activated in his aperture, and he felt some soothing sensation against his soul as the damage from his Immortal Ascension was repaired somewhat.
He had to stop after six pills as it was making his stomach nauseous. He also risked damaging his liver if he took too many at once.
It might take some time, but he would soon get his soul to the point where he could continue exploring dream realms, particularly the one he had found in the Blood River Graveyard. His soul foundation was also useful for other things like enslaving wild beasts, or for gu refinement.
