Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 What The Hell Are You Saying?

Congratulations! [New!] Millennium Ring, [New!] Water Style: Water Jet, [New!] Dark Plate, Blank Summoning Contract, [New!] Crafting System, [New!] Mirror Attribute: Unlocked, [New!] Ninja Art: Fake Out, [New!] Master Cook Book, Ninja Art: Blink, [New!] Drink Mixer Mastery, [New!] Giant Spoon

Seeing his Gacha reward, Kadoya couldn't help but be surprised by the reward.

First, the Millennium Ring, a golden ring with a triangle in the middle containing an ancient eye symbol in the center, with five pointy prongs hanging around the ring itself.

'What is this? Is the system suggesting that I should join the dark side?'

According to his memories, the Millennium Ring is one of the seven Millennium Items. The Millennium Ring's power isn't the greatest out of the seven Millennium Items, but it can be used as a compass to guide him toward whatever he seeks. He could also seal souls or fragments of souls into objects.

The main issue is... does this Millennium Ring contain the soul of the "Great Evil God"?

That he wasn't sure, but the other two effects are very useful, so whether this "Great Evil God" exists or not, he would deal with him later if he showed up.

The Dark Plate... Yub, the system is really trying to make him join the dark side.

With this plate and the ring inside him, the inherently evil Shimura would actually have a point when calling him an Evil Uchiha.

The Blank Summoning Contract can be bought with the Shop System using 5 Shop System Points. Its effect was like any Summoning Contract.

Like how he made Kurama sign the Summoning Contract with him. Now, if that fluffy fox decides to try and destroy Konoha, Kadoya could just summon it to another place before ruffling it up a bit.

Crafting System...

"Now I just need to Mine, then I need to craft." He began speaking nonsense before deciding to look into his system's new vest.

According to the crafting system, anything that falls into his hand could be considered material for crafting, like if he gets his hands on metal and wood, he could make a metal sword with a wooden handle without the need for a forge or weapon-smithing skill. He just needs to have the materials to craft, and the items quality will be based on the quality of the materials he used.

"This is good, real good. If I ever got tired of ninja work, I could open up a smithy and dedicate my life to creating the ultimate sword. While calling myself Kadoya Muramasa." Again, he couldn't help but speak nonsense.

Mirror Release, it has been a while since he got a new Kekkei Genkai, but seriously, Mirror Release? Couldn't he get something like Crystal Release instead? At least with that, he could just blatantly use the Crystal Release ninjutsu he saw in the show instead of studying and creating new Ninjutsu to use with his Kekkei Genkai.

Using his extra Ninja Points, Kadoya quickly leveled up his Mirror Release level to Level 4. Then, like how he would normally use his other Kekkei Genkai, Kadoya created a palm-sized mirror out of thin air, using Chakra, with fire combined with a bit of Earth chakra.

His Kekkei Genkai didn't follow the conventional rules of the shinobi world. Normally, a user would have to combine elemental chakras, like Water and Wind, to create Ice. But during training, he discovered something different.

He didn't need to mix elements at all.

His system granted him direct access to Ice Release, bypassing the normal process entirely. Whenever he intended to use it, his body instinctively moved on its own, channeling the technique without conscious effort or chakra calculation.

It's like breathing, your body just knows how to do it, you don't exactly learn much except how to improve it.

"Ninja Art: Fake Out!"

Kadoya tries using his new ninja art, but ultimately, he doesn't find anything new about himself.

"Odd." He murmurs, trying to discover what his new Ninja Art could do.

It wasn't like Clock Up or Blink, his body didn't change or suffer from any side effects. Looking into the name, Kadoya began analyzing it.

Then he tried to swing a kick, only to notice his own image moved before his eyes by three seconds.

"I see, so this is Fake Out." He murmurs, realizing the real effect of Fake Out, to throw a direct "Fake" forward by three seconds, giving him enough time to adjust and change his attack.

Ninja fights are usually high-speed battles where one second could be the deciding factor whether one lives or dies. So by using Fake Out mid-battle, he could force his opponent to waste their chakra and energy to defend and avoid, giving him enough to either retreat or counter.

Master Cook Book, he doesn't need it right now. So into the inventory you go!

"Blink again?" He didn't expect his Gacha to give him another Blink, but when he looked into it, he noticed that his previous 5 meters had turned into 6 meters, the cooldown is still 20 seconds like before.

"Drink Mixer Mastery... I can make Tsunade kneel and beg for good wine now?"

Kadoya didn't know why those were the first thoughts that came to his mind upon knowing that he could now create wine to extort his Teacher.

Probably because of the 1,009,810 ryo bills he had to pay not long ago.

And finally...

Kadoya pulls out a giant spoon that is twice his size, he saw this in his shop system, but he refused to buy it using 20 Shop System Points. He isn't sure why a large spoon would be so expensive, but now holding it in his hand, he feels glad that he didn't buy one from his Shop System.

According to the description of this Giant Spoon, it relies on Psychic energy to change shape, size, and weight, which was very useful and powerful according to Kadoya's view.

Just imagine...

In the middle of the fight, Kadoya's giant spoon suddenly enlarged itself to a hundred meters before letting it fall down on the group of enemies below, crushing them in the process.

You die from Madara?

I died from a giant spoon.

Kadoya couldn't help but chuckle to himself, thinking nonsense.

Joke aside, he wasn't a psychic nor have any psychic energy to use the Giant Spoon's full power, but that's fine, with his system it would only be a matter of time before he unlocked something like psychic energy.

...

The next day, much to Kadoya's surprise, his best friend Minato actually came to the Uchiha Compound to pick him up for school.

What surprised Minato was that the surrounding Uchiha actually tried to welcome him with a warm smile, which kind of freaked him out a little, because he already knew a smiling Uchiha meant something bad was about to happen.

He saw that look too much from his best friend already.

"Alright, class! From today on, you all should take combat class seriously, if your grades aren't passable, then you might as well kiss your graduation goodbye and get ready for the next year!" Mayabi-sensei said seriously.

Her black gaze swept across the group of students in front of her.

This has been a direct order from the Hokage since the Second Great Ninja War started.

It's important for newly graduated genin to be able to fight and take a hit; if they are still afraid of getting hurt, then they won't survive through the war.

This is something Mayabi Uzuki understood too well, so even though it pained her to see her student being hurt, she knew that this was a must, to prepare themselves for this harsh ninja world.

"Kadoya, I'll give you full authority to pick whoever you want to spar with, just make sure that everyone must at least spar with you once." She turned toward her top student and said reluctantly.

"However, no ninjutsu! Just taijutsu!" She quickly added.

One of the reasons other students are afraid to face him is partly because of his ninjutsu. Unless that student's name is Minato, many doesn't have the courage to charge into an A-Rank ninjutsu that can seriously kill someone.

Kadoya swept his gaze to the other students in his class with an unimpressed expression. He just had a dance with the Uchiha shinobi last night, and now making him dance with these kids is a bit... boring.

Besides, his group of friends, who could somewhat keep up with him, the other didn't have the strength to do so.

Speaking of friends...

'Where is Saiguu?'

He thought, looking around and not seeing the Hyuga girl anywhere, this is odd, he and Minato are normally the ones who skip class, not her. And even if she skipped class, she would most likely have invited them instead of going alone.

I'll look for her later.

In the end, Kadoya decides not to pay any attention to the missing girl and walk toward the center of the training ground. His bored gaze swept onto the group of nervous students before he said calmly.

"Let's dance."

...

Ms. Mayabi sat stiffly in the hospital chair, her eyes fixed on the row of beds filled with injured students. A heavy weight settled on her chest, the unmistakable sting of regret. Watching them groan in pain and wince at every movement, she couldn't help but feel like she had failed them… failed as a teacher.

Ironically, the only students who weren't bedridden were those who had regularly sparred with Kadoya. The ones she had once tried to shield from his intense, often unpredictable training methods.

If only she had allowed them to face him more often. Maybe then, like Minato, they would've adapted, grown stronger, faster, sharper. Instead, her well-meaning protection had left them unprepared.

She exhaled deeply, guilt heavy in her lungs, and silently vowed: I'll do better. No more sheltering. They need the truth of the world, even if it hurts.

Looking up, she decided to go and buy some treats to hopefully cheer up her injured students and encourage them to do better next time.

As she stepped out, her gaze drifted to the ward next door, and she froze. A large number of Uchiha filled those beds as well. Bandaged arms, swollen faces, splinted legs. Their usual confident, handsome demeanor was replaced by battered exhaustion.

Her brows furrowed.

Is the war already this brutal? Or… is there something else going on?

Wait, why do their injuries look so... familiar?

...

"You really don't know how to hold back, do you," Minato said, lying on the school rooftops beside Kadoya.

Their combat class just ended, and Ms. Mayabi has taken the rest of the class to the Konoha Hospital.

"If you want to hold back, ask your opponent do they hold back when trying to kill you." Kadoya said bluntly, unbothered by what he had just done.

"Kushina is mad at you."

"She'll get over it."

"Nawaki lost three teeth and has two black eyes."

"Who?"

Minato: "..."

Minato decides not to try and warn Kadoya anymore, he is Tsunade's beloved disciple after all, so he should be able to face her wrath.

He closed his eyes, enjoying the morning breeze against his face.

"...Kadoya, what is the purpose of a shinobi?"

"Conflict."

Minato: "..."

"You really don't hold back."

He knew Kadoya's words were brutal, but they were also the truth.

No matter how shinobi first came into existence, one thing has remained constant throughout history: conflict.

Wealth, beauty, land, hatred, love, greed, every desire led to strife, and strife inevitably led to violence, bloodshed, and death.

The reason shinobi had survived and thrived for generations, replacing samurai, warriors, priestesses, monks, and onmyoji as the dominant force in the world, was because they were simply the best at fighting.

"Don't overthink it. You might feel bad, but what about the civilians caught in the crossfire? The innocent bystanders who lost their homes? Aren't they just as pitiful?"

Kadoya yawned, his expression indifferent.

He didn't sympathize with the shinobi way of life.

"Kadoya, huh..."

Minato let out another long sigh. Instead of feeling comforted, he only sank deeper into his gloom.

Some time ago, after hearing Jiraiya's vision, he had asked Kadoya how true peace could be achieved.

And Kadoya had given him a straightforward answer.

As long as society could sustain the majority of people's basic survival and material needs, there were only three ways to achieve a temporary peace:

First, possesses power on the level of Hashirama Senju, enough to single-handedly suppress all opposition and force the world into peace.

Second, wage a unification war, merge all nations and shinobi villages into one, establish a universal language, standardized systems, and unified education and culture.

Third, introduce a greater external threat, one that endangers the entire shinobi world, forcing people to set aside their differences.

Minato had always considered himself a genius, but the first option was a dream beyond reach.

As for the second option...

Only someone like Danzo Shimura would entertain such an ambition.

And not only did Minato dislike Danzo, but Konoha simply wasn't powerful enough to make that dream a reality.

Which left only the third option...

"If only Madara Uchiha were still alive," Minato mused. "A man who could rival the First Hokage must have possessed enough strength to threaten the entire shinobi world."

Kadoya: "!??"

Heh!?

What the hell are you saying?!

Madara is still alive!

Right now, everyone's still in their early stages, growing at a steady pace, minding their own business. We haven't even graduated yet!

Can't we just enjoy our low-level battles in peace?!

If that old bastard suddenly decided to "dance" again and dropped a Meteor Jutsu on us for fun…

Hmmm, that might be fun.

Still...

I'm not strong enough to dance with him yet!
