Her voice was warm, burning. It was predatory.

"Come here, little rabbit. Did you really think you could run away from me?"

He didn't answer. His legs shook violently.

The yellow system hovered near his ear,

"Do not submit. Not this time."

Jessie stepped inside, her fingers already glowing with pheromone-rich mana, "You already carry my scent. You are mine. Come."

Her males spread through the cave, raiding immediately. They seized blankets, food, potion jars. One kicked Rhaëlya's empty nest.

Another tore through Carmen's herbs.

"Stop!" Christopher shouted.

They didn't even look at him. Jessie reached for him.

Christopher flinched backward, clutching a knife he'd used earlier to cut his mark. His breath hitched.

"Don't touch me," he whispered.

Jessie laughed, "You don't get to choose."

Then she lunged.

"Bloom is not here!" Carmen hissed, slamming her fist against a tree, "Nor is Ivy."
