Chapter 63 - Chapter 62: The King of Pigs

Sudo's words—"I wasn't there."—stunned everyone in Class D.

Silence stretched for a moment.

No one had expected Sudo to suddenly wise up and lie. He was a hothead, quick to anger and even quicker to act. Subtlety wasn't exactly his strength. If he had decided to make something up, he'd have probably exposed himself within seconds.

But now, looking at him, it was clear—he wasn't lying.

His confusion was too real.

And that was the problem. A guy like Sudo, who was too dumb to lie convincingly, was also the last person you'd expect to pull off a deception. Which meant… he was telling the truth.

A light cough broke the silence.

Sitting at the head of the table, Horikita Manabu adjusted his glasses and spoke.

"Sudou-san, are you saying you know nothing about this alleged fight?"

Sudo blinked, as if still catching up.

Kure Ragna, seated beside him, sighed and kicked him lightly under the table.

Sudo flinched, then, with an almost childlike innocence, muttered, "I really don't know what you're talking about…"

Horikita studied him for a moment before nodding. "Understood. You may sit."

Kure Ragna didn't wait—he grabbed Sudo's arm and pulled him back down before he could do anything stupid.

The silence didn't last long.

"This is bullshit!" Komiya from Class D slammed the table. "They're lying! They must've brainwashed that idiot Sudo!"

Kure Ragna didn't even bother looking at him. Instead, he lazily raised a hand and flipped him an internationally recognized gesture.

"Are you dense?" he said flatly. "First, you accuse us of starting a fight. Then, when asked for proof, you come up empty. Now, because Sudo denied it, your new excuse is brainwashing?"

He let out a short laugh. "Seriously, do you even hear yourself?"

Komiya clenched his fists, face twisting in frustration.

"That's enough."

Sakagami, the Class D teacher, finally stepped in, his sharp tone cutting through the room. Komiya bit his lip but didn't push further.

"Smart choice." Kure Ragna smirked.

Then, without warning, he stood up.

In one fluid motion, he flipped the table in front of him and stepped forward, closing the gap between himself and the Class D members.

A stunned silence filled the room.

Sakagami's eyes narrowed. "What do you think you're doing? We're in the middle of a hearing."

Kure Ragna barely spared him a glance. "Relax. I'm just disappointed."

He adjusted his sunglasses, the smirk on his lips growing. "This is getting boring. We can sit here all day and argue, or we can just cut to the chase—call Ryuuen Kakeru. Let the pig king speak for himself."

"You—!"

Komiya lurched forward, fury burning in his eyes, but this time, Kondo—the yellow-haired guy beside him—grabbed his arm and pulled him back down.

Meanwhile, Ishizaki had already pulled out his phone, hesitated, then pressed dial.

A slow, tense beeping sound filled the room.

Then—

"It's me."

Ryuuen Kakeru's voice came through the speaker.

Ishizaki barely got a word in before Kure Ragna snatched the phone from his hand.

"Yo." Kure Ragna leaned against the table, completely at ease. "If you recognize my voice, then you already know how badly your little plan flopped."

Silence.

A smirk curled on Kure Ragna's lips. "Smart. Staying quiet so I can keep talking? Fine, let's do that."

He tapped a finger against the phone.

"First off, I'll give you credit—you picked the right target. Sudo's a hothead, easy to bait. But your mistake?" He chuckled. "You made the first move. And in a setup like this, the first move is the losing one."

He let the words sink in.

"You needed a location without cameras, right? But because you went for that, you can't prove Sudo started the fight. And without proof, all we have to do is deny everything."

Another pause.

Then Kure Ragna sighed, as if truly disappointed. "Man, you really don't learn, do you? Not long ago, you paid me 80,000 points in 'tuition' just to get schooled. And yet, here you are, screwing up again."

He grinned. "At this point, calling you the 'King of Class D' is too generous. Nah… you're more like the Pig King—leading a bunch of little piglets straight into the slaughterhouse."

A tense silence stretched.

Then—

Beep.

The call ended.

Kure Ragna glanced at the phone, unimpressed. "Oh? He hung up." He placed it back in front of Ishizaki and leaned forward slightly, hands in his pockets.

Finally, his gaze landed on Sakagami.

"So? What now, Sakagami-sensei? Class D gonna cut their losses and run? Or do you wanna keep getting humiliated?"

The teacher exhaled sharply. "I'm just a teacher," he said evenly. "I don't have the authority to decide. That's up to the students."

Ishizaki hesitated, then checked his phone.

A new message.

His face twitched. Then, reluctantly, he raised his head.

"Ryuuen-san says… we withdraw the lawsuit."
