The next day, Sheng Tang and Qin Lin went to Liu Taofang's home for lunch.
Mrs. Liu especially went out of her way to cook personally to treat them.
"Sister-in-law, you don't have to be so polite," Sheng Tang said.
Mrs. Liu responded, "It's no trouble; let me show off a little. I've been learning to make this Squirrel Mandarin Fish for quite a while."
"Making such a complicated dish?"
"Just wait and eat," Mrs. Liu laughed.
Sheng Tang thought to herself: There's deep-frying, there's sweet and sour—a real high-calorie dish. She's worried about gaining weight.
