Qin Miaomiao looked at the person who came and said, "Not leaving yet?"
"I'm just about to leave. Aren't you leaving, President Qin?"
Qin Miaomiao pointed at a pile of novels and said, "I'll go back after I finish reading. You can clock out."
The assistant looked over Qin Miaomiao, nodded.
Turning to see the city enveloped by the night, her feelings were somewhat mixed. After some serious consideration, she decided to call Lin Xiaoxiao, and it'd be best if Lin could spare some time to meet up.
Doing a quick count, Qin Miaomiao hadn't shown up for several days. Although Old Sir Lu had opinions about her, whenever she's absent for a few days, he's always curious about what Qin Miaomiao was busy with. Inside, though somewhat uncertain if she was sulking, thinking too much about certain things actually made one more vexed.
"Sir, it's mealtime."
As the nanny's voice came through, Old Sir Lu really started to feel hungry.
