Ji Wei aimed her phone at the little dog and snapped a photo, her fingers flying across the screen as she typed furiously.
A few minutes later—
"Done! What do you think? It even matches with my nickname, making it a couple's name!" Ji Wei cheerfully handed the phone back to Mo Qian.
Hearing "couple's name," Mo Qian felt a sweetness in his heart, but when he saw the dog head picture Ji Wei had just taken—and had set as his profile picture—paired with the nickname "Happy's Dad," his face darkened almost to the color of coal.
Scrolling further down, he noticed there was just one friend in the contacts.
That friend's nickname was "Milk's Mom," and the profile picture was an adorable cream-colored kitten.
"What do you think? Doesn't it sound good?"
Mo Qian suppressed the urge to chuck the phone across the room and ground out through clenched teeth, "Yeah, great. Just wonderful…"
Ji Wei almost burst out laughing at his reaction.
