A Cheng turned his head and looked at her coldly.
Ji Wei forced herself to rein in her emotions, glaring sharply at the man while panting: "Let me off the car!"
"Are you sure you don't want to meet Mr. Gu?" A Cheng spoke in somewhat broken Chinese.
Ji Wei stared at him in surprise. "You... are really planning to take me to him?"
Could she have misunderstood?
"You are Mrs. Gu. I wouldn't dare act recklessly toward you," A Cheng managed a faint, forced smile.
Though he said so, he still avoided directly answering her question.
