Chapter 307: Xiao San, Don't Look Back, I Am Tang Yin

Spirit City remained brightly decorated with celebratory ornaments.

First, despite the championship being won under Tianshui Academy's name, everyone knew it was essentially Spirit Hall's victory.

Second, news of Xuantian Technique had spread. Though it would take time before it was available to everyone, the fact that Spirit Hall officials were no longer sworn to secrecy confirmed the truth of its existence.

Not all Spirit Hall members were soul masters; in fact, the number of soul master families was far greater. Right now, they were celebrating.

Inside Han Li's residence, the atmosphere was also festive though far more subdued compared to the outside world.

Winning the Soul Master Tournament? That was practically a given. Even the girls didn't feel particularly excited. Notably, Ye LingLing had officially moved in.

Of course, Han Li wouldn't be surprised if she were later considered part of Tian Dou Empire's tribute. Given Qian Renxue's current maneuvers, she was absolutely capable of pulling something like that.

After a modest celebration, the girls took Ye LingLing away to familiarize her with the surroundings, while Han Li remained in the courtyard chatting with Guang Ling and the others.

"What are you planning to do with Tang Hao and the others?" Guang Ling casually asked, watching his lazy disciple reclining in his chair.

"Kill them."

There was no hesitation. Han Li answered immediately.

He had already consulted Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue neither of them had any interest in keeping the three alive. As for Han Li, he certainly wouldn't spare them.

Only a thoroughly dead enemy is a good enemy. That had always been his belief.

The God Realm's attention had also shifted away far sooner than expected.

When he announced Xuantian Technique, he once again felt multiple eyes watching him even more intensely than before.

Yet, just as quickly, those gazes disappeared. In fact, within his Slaughter God Domain, someone had even left behind a few locations.

Even without that message, Han Li had already sensed several divine inheritances appearing across the continent.

"Hmm… kinda stingy," Han Li mused after investigating.

There were inheritances from the God of Emotions, God of Destruction, and God of Darkness. Additionally, there were inheritances from the God of War, Phoenix God, Speed God, Food God, and Nine Colored Goddess. They even included the location of the Sea God's inheritance.

At first glance, it seemed the God Realm was being generous offering even more slots and allowing Han Li and his people to choose freely.

But the problem was, the God of Shura, the most powerful figure among them, still showed no signs of initiating his trials.

Furthermore, while others might be unaware, Han Li knew the truth among all the divine positions offered, only the first three plus the Sea God were first class gods.

If his memory was correct, Rong Nianbing hadn't yet ascended to God King status. Although a divine position didn't necessarily define battle strength, it certainly indicated the upper limit and growth speed of a god.

More importantly, divine trials had restrictions.

Simply put, older soul masters had a lower chance of being chosen unless they were incredibly talented.

Han Li wasn't entirely sure whether his master and senior martial uncle could qualify for the trials. Tang Chen was an exception and couldn't be used as a reference.

"Hmm… we'll test it first.** Worst case scenario, even if they fail, as long as they don't end up like the Grand Priest, it's fine. Even just getting some rewards would be worthwhile."

"For now, I'll focus on pushing everyone to Rank 99 first.** That's the backup plan. If we can avoid unnecessary bloodshed, that would be ideal."

"What are you zoning out for?"

Guang Ling nudged his disciple. Why had he suddenly spaced out in the middle of a conversation?

"Nothing. Just remembered the Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower. Do you still have it, Master?" Han Li asked with a teasing smile, looking at his baby faced teacher.

"Qingluan, I suddenly remembered I have something to discuss with you. Let's talk at your place. Li, you stay busy. See you tomorrow!"

Without answering the question, Guang Ling casually grabbed Qingluan, and the two swiftly fled the scene.

Watching his master flee awkwardly, Han Li burst into laughter.

After sitting for a while longer, he finally stood up and headed to the adjacent courtyard which was now empty.

It was time to send them off.

He hated delays. The longer the night, the greater the risk. Besides, only after dealing with this matter could he truly rest easy.

With a creak, the door slowly opened.

The three Tang family members struggled to lift their heads, their gazes filled with hatred as they looked at the approaching Han Li.

Glancing at the shattered soul bone fragments on the ground exactly as he had left them before Han Li noticed how gravity pressed them down, preventing them from moving.

Pulling a chair over, he sat down casually.

The three men had already been crippled. There was not a single trace of soul power left in their bodies. Physically, they were still tough, but in their injured state, they were weaker than ordinary people.

"What exactly is Spirit Hall plotting?"

"You damn bastard! You will never die in peace!"

"Why do you know Xuantian Technique? And where is Xiao Wu? What did you do to her?"

Three people, three questions or rather, Tang Hao didn't ask anything, he was just cursing him. But his words lacked impact, and Han Li couldn't be bothered to argue with a dead man.

Aside from Tang Xiao, who remained relatively calm, Tang Hao and Tang San were visibly agitated.

"Don't rush. I have plenty of time. So do you. Let's take it slow."

Han Li waved his hand dismissively, looking uninterested.

He had no intention of torturing them, but as he gazed at the three before him, he couldn't help but feel that everything had been far too easy.

First, he looked at Tang Xiao.

"A conspiracy? Not quite. Just survival of the fittest. You Haotian Sect was simply in my way, and I needed a temporary villain to make me look good. So, I picked you."

"Of course, these two also played a role. But if you all hadn't overthought things, I might have had to put in a bit more effort."

Han Li gestured toward Tang Hao and Tang San. Though his enthusiasm wasn't particularly high, his twisted sense of humor remained intact.

Tang Xiao glanced at him, then at his brother and nephew. His lips trembled slightly, but he didn't even bother resisting the gravitational force pressing him down. Instead, he buried his face into the ground, and faint tears pooled beneath him.

"Our grandfather, Tang Chen, will avenge us. Spirit Hall will be destroyed."

Perhaps Han Li's words had rattled him, but when Han Li turned his gaze toward Tang Hao, the man merely struggled and spat out a curse, as if uttering a prophecy.

"Tang Chen is indeed alive. But he's better off dead."

"But since you wish for it, I'll take care of him too. And when I do, I'll tell him it was your request."

Han Li paused deliberately in the middle of his sentence, letting a flicker of hope rise in the brothers' eyes before ruthlessly crushing it.

Watching the two men glare at him with murderous intent, Han Li suddenly felt much better.

All this time, he had been like a shadowy puppeteer, constantly strengthening himself and manipulating events from behind the scenes. But there were many things he could never share with anyone.

Perhaps… these three could serve as his emotional outlet?

His smile deepened.

"Oh, right. Almost forgot Ah Yin isn't dead."

"I took her away. She even watched part of the Soul Master Tournament."

Han Li raised his right hand, pinching his thumb and forefinger together to form a tiny gap.

"Of course, I only let her see a little bit just the part where Tang San claimed you approached Ah Yin to study Haotian Sect's secret techniques. How touching, isn't it?"

This wasn't a lie Han Li had indeed projected the tournament's events onto the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well for Lan Yin King to watch.

As for Ah Yin, well… she was simply Ye LingLing's spirit ring. Han Li didn't care about her feelings, but that didn't stop him from using her to torment Tang Hao.

"You want to speak? Too bad I won't let you."

Before Tang Hao could open his mouth, Han Li sealed his voice with soul power.

All he could do was mumble angrily while glaring at Han Li with pure hatred, unable to even writhe in frustration.

"Now, it's your turn, Xiao San."

Han Li turned toward Tang San, who had stared at him with venomous hatred the moment he entered.

Just to be safe, when he silenced Tang Hao, he did the same to Tang San so as not to be interrupted.

"Don't look at me like that. Did you forget? We're friends. We shook hands before."

Han Li smiled.

"Xiao Wu is doing fine for now. At least she's better off than you. She's still asleep. And she will remain asleep until she becomes Zhuqing's spirit ring."

"Don't look at me with that rage filled expression. There's nothing left to discuss between us. She won't even feel pain. Letting her die thinking she sacrificed herself for you that's already the greatest kindness I can offer."

Ignoring Tang San's bloodshot glare, Han Li flipped his left hand, letting several items fall to the ground.

With one glance, Tang San's eyes widened in pure horror, his body trembling violently. He struggled harder, as if trying to back away.

His reaction caught the attention of Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, who instinctively followed his gaze.

"Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needles, Peacock Plume, Buddha's Wrath Tang Lotus. Familiar, aren't they?"

"Tang Sect's Third Rule: If an enemy has a path to death, never show mercy. Otherwise, you only bring yourself unnecessary trouble."

Han Li scratched his head, looking at Tang San with mock innocence.

"Xiao San, it's been years since I recited this. Did I get it right?"

Tang San froze, his eyes filled with pure terror. His entire body shook uncontrollably, yet he couldn't utter a single sound.

"Oh, right. Do you remember me?"

"I seem to have a name Tang Yin."

"It's been a long time, 'Ghostbane.'"

"Tang Sect's Seventh Rule: Anyone who steals sect secrets has already chosen their path to death."

Han Li leaned in, whispering the final line directly into Tang San's ear.
