"Hello, beauty. I'm Brian. May I know your name?" the man asked with a charming smile.
Zaiyila looked up, only to find a young man towering over her. He was significantly taller, and her brows knitted dangerously. The man felt the shift in the air.
"The hell? Aside from my husband, no one is allowed to be taller than me," she muttered and suddenly stepped hard on his foot.
"Ah!" the man screamed in pain, bending forward in reflex.
"That's more like it," Zaiyila said with a satisfied smile, turning to walk away. But the man grabbed her arm.
"You bi—" He didn't get the chance to finish.
In a blink, his hand was severed from his wrist. Blood splattered onto Zaiyila's face, forcing her eyes shut.
The room fell into a chilling, unnatural silence. Charles stood frozen in place, visibly trembling.
The man who had lost his arm had long fainted from the shock and pain.
