Chapter 272: A Reunion After Many Years
In the distance, a tower that seemed to pierce the sky stood tall. Its surface shimmered with multicolored light, resembling a flawless masterpiece of carved jade and crystal glass, with every detail intricately crafted like a true work of art.
Zhu Zhuyun, Shui Bing'er, and Huo Wu walked along the cobblestone path leading up to the towering structure.
The entrance doors stood wide open, revealing a vast interior space, though there was only one reception desk inside.
Since the academy's student population was still relatively small, and earning points was difficult, a single counter was enough to handle the demand. Perhaps in the future, as more students enrolled, additional counters would be added.
The three women stepped inside and noticed a small sign placed on the reception desk at some point.
It displayed a simple pricing chart, listing the daily cost of training for each floor.
[1st Floor 2x Training Efficiency: 10 points/day.
2nd Floor 3x Training Efficiency: 100 points/day.
3rd Floor 4x Training Efficiency: 200 points/day.
4th Floor 5x Training Efficiency: 300 points/day.
5th Floor 6x Training Efficiency: 400 points/day.
6th Floor 7x Training Efficiency: 500 points/day.
7th Floor 8x Training Efficiency: 600 points/day.
8th Floor 9x Training Efficiency: 700 points/day.
9th Floor 10x Training Efficiency: 800 points/day.]
"It's so expensive to train here for just one day…" Huo Wu muttered in disbelief as she looked at the pricing list.
"I thought 100 points per month was a lot, but I didn't expect the cost to increase so drastically the higher you go." Shui Bing'er was also shocked by the pricing.
"Why is the 1st floor only 10 points, but the 2nd floor jumps to 100 points?" Zhu Zhuyun couldn't help but ask the receptionist.
"The 1st floor is a benefit for students who lack points, which is why the cost is so low," the staff member explained. "Based on the 100 points you receive each month, you can afford ten days of training on the 1st floor, preventing you from falling behind. But if you want higher efficiency, you'll need to spend more points and access higher floors."
After hearing the explanation, the three women huddled together to discuss their options.
"We've been here for two months, and since our accounts automatically receive 100 points each month, we each have 300 points now," Huo Wu calculated.
"If we want maximum efficiency, we could only afford one day on the 4th floor before our points are gone." She frowned in frustration.
They had assumed that 300 points would be a substantial amount, but now they realized that even reaching the highest floors was beyond their means.
"How about we start on the 2nd floor first and compare the difference from the 1st floor?" Shui Bing'er suggested.
Since their points were limited, it was more practical to test the benefits of a higher floor before committing too many resources.
"This seems like our best option," Zhu Zhuyun and Huo Wu nodded in agreement.
"We'll train on the 2nd floor for one day," Zhu Zhuyun informed the receptionist.
The staff member nodded, gesturing for them to take out their phones.
After scanning their devices with a small device, he nodded again and waved his hand.
Suddenly
A pitch black vortex appeared in the open space nearby, quickly solidifying into a large portal.
This was the entrance to the 2nd floor's training space.
Having experienced this before, the three women stepped in without hesitation, instantly finding themselves in a vast cosmic like dimension.
All around them, colorful lights shimmered, and the sprawling space seemed endless.
In front of each of them, a door materialized, waiting to be opened.
Exchanging glances, Zhu Zhuyun gave a slight nod to the others before stepping through her door.
The room inside looked identical to the 1st floor's training space a vast emptiness, with only a single meditation cushion placed in the center.
Zhu Zhuyun sat down without hesitation.
In an instant
She felt a surge of clarity, as if a fresh, cleansing energy had poured into her mind!
At that moment, she sensed that her mental state had never felt so sharp.
Her cultivation technique, Basic Qi Gathering Technique, even began circulating automatically, absorbing and refining energy at a speed that was truly three times greater than normal!
But that wasn't all
Zhu Zhuyun quickly realized that this space did more than just enhance training speed.
Here, her mind felt incredibly clear, as if countless inspirations were about to flood her consciousness.
Perhaps this place also boosted comprehension?
Or maybe… it even prevented cultivation mishaps?
If all her speculations were true
Then 100 points was absolutely worth it!
With only one day available, she refused to waste even a second.
Zhu Zhuyun closed her eyes and focused entirely on cultivation.
Since she hadn't condensed her 2nd soul ring yet, she dedicated herself to refining her 1st soul ring.
To match traditional soul masters in battle, her 1st soul ring needed to reach at least several hundred years of age before she could attempt condensing a 2nd soul ring.
If her rings were too weak, her combat effectiveness would suffer.
If they were too strong, her cultivation would become difficult.
She had to strike the perfect balance which depended on her own situation.
At that moment, she felt a boundless flow of energy pouring into her body.
The energy was vast, powerful, and most importantly pure!
Compared to outside cultivation, this place was far superior.
She had just discovered another incredible advantage of the Soul Tower's training chambers.
Time passed in the blink of an eye.
The moment she felt her rapid progress suddenly slow, she knew
The day was over.
However, the rewards were immense.
Her 1st soul ring had increased from just over 200 years to 526 years!
Having reached this level, she immediately condensed her 2nd soul ring.
Her soul power surged past level 20 and continued rising until level 26!
One day of training here was equivalent to several months of grueling cultivation in the outside world!
It wasn't just about increasing efficiency
This place offered mental clarity, pure energy, and an environment far beyond anything else in the world!
Exiting their training rooms simultaneously, the three women wore bright smiles.
Clearly, each of them had gained significantly.
For now, there was no need to return to the Soul Tower.
They simply didn't have enough points to make daily training feasible.
Instead, they decided to save their points and only return when they were on the verge of a breakthrough, maximizing every point's value.
As they chatted and laughed, they stepped out from the passageway, returning to the ground floor lobby.
But the moment they did
They saw someone else in the hall, aside from the staff.
A woman stood nearby, seemingly about to enter the Soul Tower for training.
And the instant Zhu Zhuyun's gaze landed on her, her smile froze.
She never expected…
That after so many years
She would reunite with her sister in a place like this.
Was she… also a student at this academy?
