Katherine's POV
"Is that the pizza guy?" I heard her say as she rushed out of her apartment.
I snorted, standing quietly by the door. She sucked in a breath as she saw me, failing to quickly mask her surprise. She blinked and got back on her face the sneaky expression I'd always known her for.
"What do we have here?" she chuckled. "You forgot the way home? I thought you were pregnant, I had no idea you were also sick. Are you suffering memory loss already, dear?" She asked, reaching forward with her hand to pat my cheek.
I swatted her hand away, my glare fixed on her face. "I am not suffering memory loss but it seems you do."
"Me?" She chuckled, having the nerve to place her hand on her chest in surprise and looking at me as if I was speaking another language.
"You. Yes, you, Melissa. If you weren't suffering from memory loss, you wouldn't have forgotten so soon that Jack is married and is mine."
She laughed, the sound grating on my nerves. "Did he tell you that he is yours?"
