But Sei, Satsuna, and the others were already drenched in cold sweat.

Danzō's smile vanished.
He hadn't believed Kaze was really serious—until now.
He was actually going through with it.
Meanwhile, Satsuna was already drenched in cold sweat.

On one side stood Danzō.On the other—Kaze's order… and the memory of Shisui's death.
After a brief hesitation, Satsuna steeled himself and stepped forward.
He didn't pick up the handcuffs Kaze had tossed earlier.
Instead, he pulled out a fresh pair of his own.
"Lord Danzō, please cooperate with us."
"Once we've completed the investigation, we'll make sure the truth comes to light and justice is served."
Unlike Kaze, Satsuna genuinely believed this could be handled by the book.He wasn't trying to provoke Danzō—he truly hoped he'd cooperate.
That's why his words were still respectful, not hostile.
But—
Danzō Shimura was the darkness of Konoha.The man who built Root from the shadows.
There was no chance he would let himself be taken in by the Uchiha.Not now. Not ever.
The moment he realized there was no turning back—
Danzō acted.
With a sudden lunge, his left hand shot out and grabbed Satsuna by the throat.
Don't let his old age fool you—
Danzō's physical strength still surpassed most shinobi in their prime.
With a sickening crunch, Danzo's fingers crushed Satsuna's trachea.
The cartilage gave way under the pressure, collapsing his airway completely.
Then, like tossing away trash—
Danzō flung the boy several meters back.
Satsuna crashed to the ground with a dull thud, his back slamming into the floor.
His face twisted in pain, mouth opening and closing in a desperate attempt to breathe.
"Since you came here to die—"
"Don't blame me for granting your wish, Kaze."
Danzō's voice was low and full of murderous intent.
He'd long seen Kaze as a threat—A genius that needed to be eliminated to keep the Uchiha in check.
And now, the situation had escalated beyond return.
So he stopped pretending.
He dropped the act.
And with a cold wave of his hand, he issued the order:
"The Uchiha clan has launched an assassination attempt on a Konoha elder."
"Kill them all. No exceptions."
