I spring into a sitting position. Panting heavily, with my heart pounding as I awaken from sleep.
I barely have time to process anything when something suddenly lunges out of the dark and lands on me. Causing a scream to escape me as I take in the massive, cat-like creature that is now above me, growling with a guttural snarl that sends shivers down my spine.
What is this creature!?
It reeks!!
It smells like wet fur soaked in decay. Like something damp and disgusting that hasn't seen sunlight for years. Its weight is crushing above me, and its vicious eyes are endless pits of red. Glowing with a hunger that tells me exactly what it wants.
To devour me.
I struggle to push it off me as its claws dig into the dirt beside my head, aiming for my face, but no matter how hard I push, the thing won't fall off.
What new challenge is this?? At night, of all times!
