Lucas wanted to look for Ryker and Vance. But halfway through, he heard an argument from somewhere nearby.
Since he was near the boundary wall that protected Velomore, not many people were around him. So, he easily located the people involved in the argument.
Ryker and Stinton.
'What are these two doing here? And why are they arguing?' Lucas thought with a frown.
However, he wasn't the one to meddle in others' business. So, he left them and looked for Vance instead, who at that moment had just finished exercising.
"Vance, may I talk to you for a minute?" Lucas asked, glancing at the others who were still exercising. He felt his body ache just by looking at them.
Thankfully, the rule to implement mandatory exercise would start two days later, after the two other cities had been successfully evacuated. So, he still had time to prepare his mind.
"Give me a minute, Lucas," Vance said and moved to one of the men who was battling with a punching bag.
