Rowe pursued a demon that was fleeing in panic, but suddenly, a towering frost giant leapt over and landed in his path, wielding an ice-blue longsword.

This sword wasn't ordinary. Its material was crystalline and transparent, shimmering like a fusion of gold and jade. It was not a mere construct of ice; the craftsmanship and aura revealed it to be a true artifact. The weapon radiated power and cold.

"Now, I'm your opponent," the frost giant declared icily, his voice like howling wind. The surrounding air grew frigid instantly.

Second-order divine power.

Rowe's heart sank.

Second-order gods were formidable. Among all of Asgard, only a dozen possessed such strength. And each of them was renowned—heroes, kings, or generals. The Frost Giants had a similar hierarchy. Though Rowe didn't recognize the frost giant standing before him, he knew this opponent must be a notable figure of Jotunheim.

Yet, Rowe didn't shrink from the challenge. He was burning with the desire to test himself against a second-order divine power—especially while still under the King's Blessing.

With a flash, the hammer and shield materialized in his hands. Flames and holy light erupted simultaneously from his body.

Hammer of Justice!

The frost giant reacted with practiced precision, turning his ice-blue longsword in a smooth arc to conjure a towering wall of enchanted ice.

Boom!

Rowe's hammer struck the wall with explosive force. Cracks spiderwebbed across its surface, but the wall held—a testament to its strength, and to the power gap between first and second-order gods.

Despite expecting resistance, Rowe was stunned. His Hammer of Justice—capable of flattening demons and war beasts—hadn't even shattered the defense.

The frost giant sneered with contempt, then lunged forward. His longsword gleamed as it drove forward, passing straight through the fractured ice wall.

Rowe's eyes narrowed.

Shield of Light!

His Scarlet Commander's Shield shimmered with brilliance as it expanded into a wall of divine protection—part shield, part blazing holy light. Flames coiled along its edges, radiating defiance.

The frost giant's sword pierced the ice wall, shattering it into a barrage of jagged shards. The fragments exploded forward, propelled by divine force.

These were no mere shards. They weren't like bullets. They carried the power of a second-order divine being. Had they been bullets, Rowe would have barely flinched. But these? These were deadly.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The ice fragments rained down on the shield, cracking its luminous surface.

Then the longsword followed, slamming into the Shield of Light with a thunderous clang. The impact sent a jolt through Rowe's arm. The divine shield flickered under pressure, but the Scarlet Commander's physical shield beneath it took the blow, preventing a fatal wound.

But the frost giant wasn't done. He suddenly kicked out.

Crash!

Rowe was thrown back, slamming into the ground. The giant raised his sword again, intent on finishing the job.

Thinking quickly, Rowe tightened his grip on the warhammer and unleashed a brilliant flare of light.

Blinding Radiance!

The divine light erupted from him, washing over the area. The frost giant recoiled as the blinding glow struck him full in the face. He blinked rapidly, momentarily disoriented.

The King's Blessing was fading. Rowe knew his window was closing. He charged up all the divine energy he could muster—flames and holy light surged to their peak.

Hammer of Justice!

He swung the warhammer with all his might.

Most frost giants bore enchanted ice armor—thin and almost invisible. But his hammer found its mark.

Crack!

The armor shattered. The frost giant howled, staggering backwards. Dizzy and wounded, his stance faltered.

At that precise moment, a deep roar split the sky. A silver warhammer shot through the air like a comet.

Mjölnir.

If the frost giant hadn't sensed it, he might've been killed. He jerked aside at the last second, narrowly avoiding a direct hit to the head.

Boom!

Mjölnir struck him in the chest, flinging him through the air. The remaining ice armor shattered completely. The giant slammed into the earth, groaning and writhing.

Rowe turned in disbelief.

"Hela!" he called, stunned.

The goddess stood nearby, expression calm, hand raised.

"He's mine," Hela said coolly. Mjölnir flew back into her hand, guided by her will.

Rowe nodded. There was no time for discussion. He turned back toward the battlefield, cutting down more demons.

Frost giants occasionally intercepted him, but the Asgardian warriors around him had noticed his effectiveness against demons. They stepped in, shielding him from giant interference and allowing him to continue his slaughter.

Now unrestrained, Rowe surged forward, holy flames trailing him like a comet.

One demon, then another. Soon, over twenty had fallen to him. Entire demon squads scattered in fear of the divine light. Some disbanded completely.

But his success came with a price.

His killing spree caught the attention of something far greater.

A demonic figure hovered in the sky, cloaked in infernal fire and darkness. A Lord of Hell—Zatanus. One of the most ancient and feared enemies of Asgard.

From the sky, Zatanus observed the battlefield. He watched as holy light seared through his kin below.

Another demon died, disintegrated by light. Zatanus's skeletal face contorted in rage.

"That power
" he hissed, voice crackling like fire. Though he had never encountered holy light before, he felt its primal threat to demonic beings.

He would not allow such power to flourish.

Boom!

Odin hurled a bolt of thunder, striking him squarely. But Zatanus ignored the All-Father for the moment. He spun mid-air and launched himself at Rowe, trailing blazing hellfire behind him.

"Wretched boy! Taste the flames of hell!" he roared.

Flames ignited in both hands—black and crimson, tainted with corruption.

Rowe's eyes widened. He activated his shield again and fled, surging his energy to the limit. Holy light burst from him, mingling with divine flames.

Zatanus thrust his hand forward.

Hellfire burst forth.

Though it looked like a regular flame, Rowe could feel its malevolent weight—older than time, a fire forged in the deepest pits of damnation.

Boom!

The blast was too fast to evade. It slammed into his holy shield. Zatanus's strength—comparable to a third-order divine being—was overwhelming. Had he been in his native Hell, he might've even rivaled Odin himself.

Rowe's shield shattered instantly.

He could've conjured another, maybe two or three, to buy time. But Zatanus was already raising another hand.

Another hellfire blast shot toward him.

Desperate, Rowe activated his ultimate defense.

Sanctuary.

Holy Shield!

A divine barrier, marked with ancient runes, wrapped around him. For a brief moment, he was invincible.

Boom! Boom!

Two more blasts of hellfire struck. The sanctuary held.

High above, Odin finally broke away from his duel with Grimir. Lightning danced around him.

Zatanus, sensing the danger, gave Rowe one last glare before turning back.

The skies exploded once more as the Lord of Hell clashed with the King of Asgard.

Thunder cracked. Flames raged. Rain and fire mingled, painting the heavens with chaos and light.

Rainbows shimmered across the sky as the divine war raged on.
