Red light flashed!
The urgent alarm echoed throughout the entire Sage Grove Center.
Countless staff members and researchers dressed in white lab coats ran out in a hurry. They didn't know what had happened, but they understood the meaning behind this alarm.
Those who were assigned here by Vought were mostly professors at the forefront of biological sciences, with outstanding achievements. They knew their tasks and understood what was contained within the facility.
This alarm was no ordinary one—it was a warning of containment failure.
Who knew how those guys managed to break free, but now wasn't the time to think about that. Everyone working here knew how dangerous the supers held in the cells could be.
These people had been torturing them every day—drawing blood, administering drugs, and conducting various experiments. And now, those who had been held captive in the cells had escaped. The researchers knew without thinking what these supers were likely to do to them.
A few guards, armed with guns, hurried to the cells to control the supers. But as they passed a corner, they saw a bald woman glaring at them.
"Oh, fuck!" The lead guard's face changed. "Cindy, Cindy, calm down!"
However, his words didn't get through to her. The woman, named Cindy, blinked and raised her hand.
"Don't, don't!"
Seeing her movements, the guard had no choice but to raise his gun.
But before he could pull the trigger, Cindy clenched her fist. In an instant, the guards in front of her exploded into a bloody mist, splattering the walls.
Meanwhile, a professor was running in panic. He had even lost one of his shoes but didn't dare stop because he knew what kind of sinister being was behind him.
As he ran frantically, a humanoid figure suddenly swooped down from above, flying toward him.
At first, the narrow corridor restricted the flying ability, causing the figure to collide with the walls. But after adjusting, the super quickly picked up speed.
"Please, please don't kill me! I bought you fruit, don't you remember!?" the professor shouted, running while crying.
"Yeah…" The super gritted his teeth, tears streaming down his face—whether from the wind or emotion, it wasn't clear.
"I forgot to tell you, I hate fruit."
With that, like a predator chasing its prey, the super grabbed the professor and accelerated forward.
"No!" The professor was suddenly lifted into the air, struggling violently.
But his resistance didn't last long. After a violent burst of speed, the super hurled him toward the wall at the end of the hallway.
Thud!
The white wall was instantly covered in crimson human remains. The professor didn't even have time to scream, turning into a pile of flesh smeared across the wall.
Scenes like this were unfolding in every corner of the Sage Grove Center, with the crazed supers wreaking havoc. The ordinary people working here were now nothing more than lambs to the slaughter.
A few researchers near the main gate quickly rushed there, hoping they could finally escape. But to their surprise, the gate was locked.
Not only the gate, but all the doors and windows were also sealed shut. Unless one had great strength, no one here could escape.
"No, no, no!" A researcher desperately pounded on the gate, shouting at the security camera, "Open it! Open the damn gate!"
Her screams didn't cause any change. The gate remained tightly shut, with no gap in sight. Instead, her shouting attracted the attention of the supers.
Realizing someone was nearby, the researcher turned around abruptly, only to find that the figure approaching wasn't one of her colleagues but a man dressed in a patient gown.
"Don't, don't kill me! We can escape together, trust me, I can take you out of here!" The researcher backed away, but the door behind her was locked tight.
The super facing her didn't move any further. He only tilted his head slightly, revealing a bloodthirsty grin.
Seeing this, the researcher's heart sank to the depths.
Bone spikes shot out, slicing through the air and piercing her body, pinning her to the door.
Blood splattered everywhere, spraying out so much that it even covered the security camera, turning half of it red.
A flash of purple lightning suddenly appeared on the monitor, and a woman dressed in black combat attire landed on the ground.
From her expression, it was clear that she was furious.
Using the highest security card, Stormfront unlocked the asylum's gates.
The sound of wind whooshing filled the air as several sharp bone spikes came flying toward her. Without saying a word, Stormfront raised her hand and unleashed a massive amount of lightning.
The purple lightning instantly shattered the bone spikes, then, without losing momentum, directly struck the attacker and sent him flying against the wall.
Afterward, Stormfront didn't even glance at him. She turned around, surveying the bodies of the researchers on the ground. Her face grew even dark.
"Lamplighter! Where are you!?"
She waited for a response but it never came. Now she was sure that shit has hit the fan when the top security figure has disappeared. Something must have gone horrendously wrong.
"No need to call him. He can't answer you anymore"
Stormfront, watching a short haired girl emerge from the ruins, had a grim look on her face. She squinted her eyes and spoke flatly.
"Who the fuck are you and what are you doing here?, where's lamplighter?". Stormfront questioned the blond short haired girl in a commanding tone.
Wanda tilted her head, looking at stormfront as if looking at a dead man, she smiled, "make a guess"
Stormfront studied the person carefully, a complex expression appearing on her face.
Looking at the state of the place and the brutally slaughtered researchers, she snorted, cold glint flashing in her eyes.
"Bitch, are you the one who did all this?".
"Hehehe" Soft laughter escaped Wanda's lips "oh my correct answer on the first try, you are one smart nazi rat"
"Fuck you"!! Upon hearing this, Stormfront let out a furious roar, transforming into a bolt of lightning and charging toward wanda.
Wanda quickly blitzed to the side. The next moment, her previous position was hit by Stormfront, creating a deep crater in the ground and sending shards of rock flying.
Having missed, Stormfront was not about to let wanda off. She angrily lifted her right leg and stomped it into the ground.
The next second, a purple lightning bolt, as thick as an arm, erupted from the ground, twisting like a snake.
The shockwave abruptly dissipated when it just when it was inches away from wanda.
"You might be hiding some power, you might have some unknown little secret,"
Stormfront took a step forward, her hands morphing into claws. Powerful lightning gathered around her, exuding terrifying pressure.
"But what makes you think you can defeat me because of that?"
Remembering Wanda's mockery,Stormfront's anger surged.
She had originally planned to find an opportunity to join the Seven, but now, because of this debacle, she couldn't possibly escape responsibility.
Anyone who interferes with her plans must die, especially when this girl unleashed so many superpowered individuals. If the situation here were to be exposed to outsiders, it wouldn't just be her— the entire Vought Group would suffer a massive blow.
So, for now, she had to quickly subdue her and find a way to extract useful information from her.
Stormfront gritted her teeth, the murderous intent in her eyes almost turning tangible.
A flash of danger surged in her mind, a sense of impending doom engulfed her.
"Shit!"
Stormfront's face froze, a hint of shock in her brows.
Crossing her arms, she gathered all her energy and suddenly released it forward. In an instant, purple lightning surged wildly, engulfing everything in front of her.
The entire corridor trembled, and everything around her shattered under the intense thunder.
After making this attack, Stormfront didn't hesitate. She turned and smashed through the wall, leaping into the air, flying toward the horizon.
She doesn't know why but subconsciously, Stormfront just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. She was sure if she delayed any longer she might face a crisis.
If she had brought the Seven with her, Stormfront didn't believe the situation would be the same.
With that thought, Stormfront accelerated, eager to find backup to deal with this unknown girl.
As she was moving at full speed, the girl suddenly appeared in the sky ahead.
"What the fuck?!"
Stormfront furrowed her brow, unable to process what was happening. How did she get there?.
The girls eyes were glowing crimson as she gazed at her indifferently.
The next moment, the sky above her changed suddenly. A giant eyeball appeared from the clouds.
"Damn it!"
Stormfront's heart raced, but before she could react, the eyeball locked its sight on her.
Stormfront's body started to distort, her flesh was turning into abomination. Her large and small intestine burst out of her abdomen, they were covered in spiral razor sharp teeths, which they used to dig out of her. The meat on her body started to riot, turning into tiny worm like creatures. The worms started to detach and fall of, in the end only bones remained of the former "superhero" Stormfront.
