Just as he was about to ask the guy in front of him whether he was drunk, his expression suddenly hardened. He swiftly turned around, eyes fixed straight ahead.
He looked exactly like the best security officer in the entire team.
Instant understanding. After two seconds of him changing expression, several imposing figures swept past them,
A low-pressure atmosphere engulfed the entire area.
The Iris family head, who was in charge of cultural duties, had worry flickering in her eyes: "Everyone in The Family is getting restless. This kind of agitation is not a good sign."
"The Bloodhounds are also showing signs of losing focus at work. Even though I've strictly forbidden anyone from spreading rumors, idle talk cannot be completely stopped."
The Bloodhound family head, responsible for security, wore a stern face, with threads of gloom climbing across his otherwise reliable features.
"Old Oti's side isn't progressing well. This obstacle still needs to be overcome by The Family itself."
Another family head shook his head slightly. His aura was steady, yet when speaking on this topic, an unavoidable heaviness lingered in his tone.
Across the entire planet of festivities, there were not many things that could trouble the three family heads; and even fewer that could trouble all three at the same time. Unfortunately, this incident was one of those rare few.
"The Astral Express rejected our invitation."
"That's normal. They just had a remote confrontation with the Dr. Primitive in Penacony. Right now is the perfect time for them to take a break. Besides, they've already chosen their next destination. What we are facing is a difficult crisis, but we cannot make them stay back just for us."
The Iris family head let out a soft sigh. Her beautiful face couldn't hide the worry beneath it.
"I originally thought this would be a new chance for growth after The Family lost Penacony. I didn't expect it to be a beautiful flower laced with hidden poison."
"It is indeed an opportunity," the Bloodhound family head said in a deep voice.
"In the past, The Family faced countless challenges. When we first developed Penacony, we encountered dangers that threatened our very foundation. The Lampmoth Family was annihilated while exploring beyond Penacony. Even setbacks like that couldn't crush us, they only forced us to push forward again and again, drawing lessons from each trial."
A spark of excitement suddenly flashed in the Bloodhound family head's eyes.
"In the past, The Family used the endless flow of memory matter from the Asdana Star System's to build the dream hours, Penacony. Now, this opportunity has appeared before us again, and it's even greater than the opportunity from before!"
The Bloodhounds' duty was to protect their home, driving away anything that might threaten their people.
On top of that, the Bloodhound family was responsible for biting down hard on anything that could benefit The Family.
Thanks to this, their instincts were honed razor-sharp even during the darkest times.
The immense imaginary energy was practically proclaiming its greatness to them.
As long as The Family could grab even a tiny bit of benefit from it, then it was foreseeable that in the near future, they would gain considerable profit.
"But before that, we have to find a way to harness this power. The Family has already lost too much in this area."
The Nightingale Family head spoke up.
The Nightingale Family handled construction. Recently, all of The Family's capable people had been stationed at the detection points around that dense imaginary hole, as well as preparing for the medical facilities that might be needed later.
Even though The Family had deep roots in Penacony throughout its long years, they had never ceased exploring the outside world.
They understood very well what fate awaited those who buried themselves in a single, fixed field, unless they could reign supreme in that field, which was clearly impossible.
For now, The Family set aside its efforts on the imaginary vortex, such things could not yield results overnight.
Now another choice stood before them.
"What do you think about the message that spread everywhere?"
"The Dr. Primitive being so high-profile makes it hard not to suspect hidden motives. I asked my friends from other places, they also received that message. It seems the Dr. Primitive very much wants all factions to join in."
The Iris family head spoke softly.
Originally, negotiations with outside factions were the duty of the Oak family. But although the Oak family was not expelled despite certain reasons, they were no longer what they once were.
Naturally, this responsibility fell onto the Iris family.
The previous Iris head had only one tightly connected link to other forces, an interstellar superstar.
A person outwardly named for Harmony, though in truth, they embodied Order, a truly special individual.
"To be honest, I'm a little relieved now." The Iris family head patted her chest lightly and said gently.
"If the Dr. Primitive had set his sights on us, The Family probably wouldn't be able to withstand his assault."
Hearing this, the Bloodhound family head crossed his arms and let out a faint, nearly inaudible snort.
The Bloodhounds indeed stood no chance against an Emanator.
The Slumbernana Monkey belonged to the meme-virus type, perfectly countering Penacony's dream visitors.
Most who came to Penacony were wealthy merchants, some of whom hid great skill beneath the surface, but compared to the vast number of ordinary people, they were but a drop in the ocean.
The Family didn't dare claim they could detect the methods of an Emanator of Erudition, especially one who already had rumors of bringing many planets to their knees.
But if the Dr. Primitive forced The Family into abandoning Penacony, that was another matter.
The Family was no longer suited to standing under public light, its priority was survival.
The Dr. Primitive? Let him do as he pleases.
…
Because of the suddenly high-profile Dr. Primitive, the atmosphere across the universe began to shift.
At the same time.
Thanks to Screwllum's intellect, he successfully deciphered the hidden information within that message.
"This location…"
"What about it?" The Herrscher of Sentience stared at the screen full of coordinates and data she couldn't understand at all.
Don't expect a professional combatant to understand this stuff!! Send Dr Mei or Mobius if you want that.
"This planet holds a special significance… The Dr. Primitive once built a base in that world. When the last time the Galaxy Rangers had visited this place, they had blown up this place claiming he had died.."
Screwllum patiently explained all kinds of knowledge to the Herrscher of Sentience.
"…Ah!" She clapped her right fist into her left palm, enlightened.
"So this is that monkey's grave!"
"You could put it that way." Screwllum nodded slightly. Even with his mechanical features, one could sense his current expression was one of confusion.
"What I find strange is, why would the Dr. Primitive return here? Is it some sort of nostalgia for the past?"
Even as a fellow genius, Screwllum could not fully unravel the Dr. Primitive's methods.
He had once suspected the Dr. Primitive to be inorganic life. If that were the case, that world must contain something the Dr. Primitive cared about.
It was not the emotional influence of organic life.
Just as he was thinking,
"Pa!!" Another crisp slapping sound rang out, only this time it landed on his shoulder.
He glanced sideways, seeing the suddenly spirited Herrscher of Sentience, looking at him as if he was a fool.
"Why bother overthinking it? Since that guy is waiting for us in his own grave, then we'll go over there and beat him up good, then flip the dirt open and put him back in, that's the greatest respect we can give him!"
Her fist clenched so hard it cracked. The Herrscher of Sentience was already itching to smash both fists straight into that monkey doctor's skull.
Daring to stir up trouble right under the eyes of me, the great Celestial Immortal?!
Screwllum watched the emotionally expressive Herrscher of Sentience. A moment later, he gave a slight nod.
"As you wish." The King of Screwllum Planet never worried about any situation, never in the past, not now, and certainly not in the future.
Before that, he needed to send this information to everyone he knew currently tracking the Dr. Primitive's whereabouts.
....
Just as many people received the message and prepared to forcefully strike the Dr. Primitive,
Herta and Ruan Mei "coincidentally" got tangled up with Mobius.
"Your idea is indeed good. In the past, due to limitations in materials and time, this body of yours was only reinforced to be undying, but you're lacking quite a bit in combat aspects."
Looking at the body Mobius and Ruan Mei had created together, Herta pointed out her flaws without restraint.
"Exactly. If I want to roam the universe, mere immortality isn't enough." Mobius let out a low chuckle.
During this period, she had seen quite a lot of interesting things across the cosmos through various channels.
Unfortunately, to obtain those things, one must either suppress others with influence or overpower them with strength.
Clearly, for the Mobius who had just entered the universe, neither of those were easily attainable.
Even if she shouted that she had connections to Ruan Mei and Herta, it wouldn't change anything.
Not to mention she would never do such a thing.
Geniuses do not rely on such things, even if the other party is a genius standing at the peak of countless beings across the universe.
Every genius, especially one who has gone through great rises and falls, through storms and crises, has fierce confidence in themselves.
Temporary inferiority does not mean they cannot catch up.
She, Mobius, wanted to join this chaotic game!
Herta searched through her own collection to find anything that could elevate Mobius' combat capabilities.
As for why she wanted to help Mobius,
Of course it wasn't out of kindness. She simply wanted to see what strange and bizarre creations Mobius might produce using these things.
Their short time together had allowed her to understand Mobius more clearly.
This snake's fangs were sharp, cold with any hesitation.
She only asked for their help because, for now, she couldn't gather materials that met her standards, nor could she gather them by her own power.
And Herta was curious. She wanted to see what level of power a genius who achieved such accomplishments in a world that dangerous could unleash.
It was enough to drive a person mad with curiosity.
"What are you doing?" Just as she was imagining that scene, she caught sight of Ruan Mei calmly taking out something familiar.
"Ouroboros?!"
Ouroboros, depending on perspective, it is a special symbol, its meaning both complex and simple.
But in the universe, it has an even more unique interpretation.
"The Leviathan… Ouroboros."
Herta blinked, and even Mobius could hear the little sparkling "bling bling."
"Where did you get that? I remember this big guy disappeared a long time ago."
"I traded for it from a very interesting person. He didn't know what it truly was, only that it was extremely valuable. We conducted a fair exchange."
Ruan Mei said softly, her gaze gentle as she looked at the vial of essence.
Due to the Dusk War, the Leviathans either fell or fled far away.
In short, not a single Leviathan could be found across the universe, at most, only "little things" with a trace of ancient bloodline.
By the way, when Godzilla first appeared, many, including Herta, thought Godzilla also carried a Leviathan bloodline.
But now, none of them believed that anymore.
The Leviathans recorded in the archives were never that monstrous!
The Aeon of Gluttony wasn't on the ranking, after all.
And the Leviathan essence in Ruan Mei's hand might very well be the last one in the universe,
And it belonged to Leviathan, famed for its vitality!
Records stated that a Leviathan had once been sliced cleanly in half by an unknown existence, and it didn't die!
It even ferociously devoured its lower half and regrew anew!
"Ouroboros. The infinite devouring serpent."
The first time Herta spoke its name, Mobius' attention instantly locked onto it. Her eyes glittered sharply.
Get it. I must get it!
"Even though it's amazing, her body shouldn't be able to withstand it yet, right?"
Mobius had certainly made some modifications to her body, but as one of the creators, Herta could easily guess her limits.
The essence was indeed good stuff, but Mobius' current body might not be able to withstand such a powerful and blazing existence.
"How would we know unless we try?" Her lips curved lightly, fingertip tapping her lips, Mobius chuckled.
In that smile burned absolute determination.
"Because so much time has passed, the will of Leviathan contained in this essence has weakened to its limit."
"Based on my estimations of Miss Mobius' physical condition, as long as her will remains firm, enduring it should not be difficult."
"The only challenge is how to merge it with Miss Mobius… and how to resist the will of a Leviathan."
Hearing this, Herta raised an eyebrow.
Well then. She's serious.
The answer, of course,
"Life has no end!!" There was no way she, Mobius would ever stop!
Ever since she re-emerged under Godzilla's influence, Mobius' understanding, pursuit, and desire for life had all climbed several levels higher.
She was not satisfied, never would she be satisfied.
She would explore the mysteries of life with her own life. What could fascinate a scholar more than pushing her body's limits and elevating her life-form?
Naturally, it would be, a higher level of life. This path has no end!
