Wolcott pinched his little face and asked, "Did you get the medicine?"
"Yes, I did!"
Wolcott put the pendant back in its place and said, "Let's go, then."
"Mm-hmm!"
Harley held Wolcott's hand and walked out, quickly scampering over to Julissa, handing her the medicine and calling out, "Mommy, it's time to take your medicine!"
Julissa crouched down to kiss Harley, her face full of happiness as she said, "Thank you, baby."
"It's enough," Madam Harvey, twirling her prayer beads, spoke lightly, "Take the child to bed. It's getting late."
Harley wanted to protest, saying, "Grandma, it's just past eight. Harley usually goes to bed at nine!"
"Harley," Julissa picked him up, "Come and help mommy take her medicine, okay?"
"Alright then."
Harley, with an '1 really can't argue with you' expression on his face, quickly capitulated.
