It's been a week since Roy met Cassandra and in this week she challenged him three times to a duel. She is frustrated when she can't defeat Roy. She lost 120 galleons in total. The only reason she decided to join Hogwarts is that Hogwarts is rumoured to be the best school and obviously because of the reassurance that Dumbledore, who is said to be the greatest wizard in this world at this time is working as headmaster there. She also has another goal, to stretch her influence in Slytherin. From her childhood, she who is adored hy everyone because of her talent, is now defeated by Roy continuously.
She is frustrated by this and worse she saw Roy is getting more stronger. She can't fathom that she who is favoured by everyone for being a genius and practice magic very earlier compared to others lost to someone who is in contact with magical world like for a month.
Her pride took a great hit. Everyday she worked on strategies and spells to defeat Roy, but instead of defeating him. It's like she taught him how to cast those spells. It began with betting those galleons then Roy in addition to the galleons added a condition to either tell him a new spell or give him a book from higher grade syllabus.
Like this she lost 10 times in a row. On her 10th defeat her eyes were bloodshot. She directly grabbed Roy's collar and asked," how did you get so much stronger than me? You're like in contact with magical world for only more than a month. I practiced spells, transfiguration, potions, and many more for a year. How did you do that? How did you get stronger? ".
Roy sighed and gently removed her hands from his collar then said," miss vole, calm down. You're angry now. Take deep breaths. Quench your anger", Cassandra although angry heeded his words and calmed down for a while. After she calmed down, she felt embarassed losing her composure like that.
Sighing she said," I'm sorry. Lost control of my emotions there for a second ", Roy nodded and Cassandra asked," I defeated almost every peer of my age in both magic and knowledge. I'm adored by family as a genius. How did you do that? You defeated me like it's nothing. You're holding back so much yet I can't even graze you with my spell. Just how? ".
She is no longer angry. More like curiousity to grow stronger. Roy looked at her and said," you may think I'm bragging but I'm different from others. I can rememberand recall everything I see and hear. Even before you can make a move, I can predict what's your next spell is. I can see the future. So, even before you make a move, you're already countered by me. Sorry to this miss vole, but I took advantage of my abilities to defeat you ".
He can't throw I have a cheat and max level spells. He haven't even used his foresight in battle. There is no need for it. But if he says this to this girl, she will probably get distraught. Roy said," we'll thank you for being my money bank ", Cassandra hit him on his back and walked away with anger while Roy chuckled and said," if you smile, you'll be very pretty. So don't maintain that stiff pace all the time ".
Cassandra just looked back at him with a glare and disappeared. When she visited the manner, her mother asked," what happened? My darling looked so angry and frustrated. Have someone bullied you? ", Cassandra hugged her mother and asked," I want to grow stronger and defeat a boy. I duelled with him 10 times and ended up losing everytime ".
Cassandra's mother thought something and said," let me guess. The galleons you're taking these days are a bet in that duel. Is he a senior student at Hogwarts? ", Cassandra shook her head and said," no, he is freshman like me ", Elena smiled and asked," which pureblood family is he from? ".
Cassandra became even more depressed at that question," he isn't from any pureblood family. He is a muggleborn and an orphan at that. He is in contact with magical world for like a month. But he is a part-veela just like me. He also said he can foresee the spells I will use. It's a complete defeat for me ".
Elena eyes twinkled when she saw her arrogant daughter admitting defeat instead of ranting like usual. She is more curious about this boy who defeated her daughter and like them has veela blood in him. But she isn't the only one who is curious. Ollivander is also amazed when Roy said those words and even tested him by asking him to make predictions. Which come true, Roy said Ollivander would eat outside today. Ollivander didn't believe it first until the food he prepared is knocked by a kneazle which escaped from the pet store and spilled all his food to the ground.
