I awoke again after passing out.
Looks like passing out is going to be the new trend because it's only been about half an hour since I've first got here and I'm already passed out again.
Moving on, I've been brought to a different place this time. This time I'm sure it's not Ulmuna.
After getting up, I looked around where I am.
In front of me, there lay rows of huge skeletons seated on equally massive thrones. They expanded endlessly into the horizon while doing the same in the sky. Mist obscured the floor beneath as I stood on a rocky cliff that prevented me from falling off.

My heart started to race like never before. If there was time where I could die, this would be it.
My body tensed in response as I grew unconsciously more aware of my surroundings.
This place reeked of pure terror and malice. Though I felt a warmth inside of me that hinted at something deeper.
Though, this isn't the time to dwell on such thoughts.
The sound of breaking glass brought me from my thoughts and back to my situation.
Just in front of me, there was rift that had formed right before my eyes.
It was dark red in color, humming with pure energy as it remained open. From it exuded massive amounts of energy that could only be described as fear.
It was so concentrated that it had left purple wisps of mist coming out the rift.
I could tell that this was either an opportunity to greatness or would become the biggest mistake of my life.
I checked through all the possibilities it could be; a trap, a meeting with what brought me here, a portal to a new world.
Though there seemed to be no other option than just to go through the portal.
I checked around once more just to make sure that I wasn't missing anything I was supposed to.
Swallowing my fears, I slowly walked into the red rift that oozed ominous energy.
As I walked through, the scenery started changing in front of me.
Instead of the large skeleton memorial that I had been before, now I stood in a throne room, opposite to the throne that lay empty.
The hall itself with barely illuminated with torches that burned blue with the throne itself was made out of gold with intricate runes that covered it.
There was a lavish purple carpet that laid out towards the throne.
I looked around to see if there was anyone else here but it didn't seem so.
If anything, this felt like it was a boss fight. Like meeting the last boss accidentally while only just starting out the game.
As I saw there was nothing else to do except go towards the throne, I did just that.
The room felt eerily empty, so quiet, as the only sound in here came from my feet hitting the carpet.
I kept my body tense, just in case I needed to defend myself from a surprise attack.
"Interesting." a booming voice came from all around me. It didn't sound male or female, or young or old, like it was perfectly in the middle.
The candles illuminating the hall blew out all at once as I was left in total darkness.
I could see clearly in the dark though so it had little to no effect on me. Just left me disoriented.
"Who's there?!" I asked out while trying to find out the source of the voice.
"I've never seen something that felt so familiar to me. I should be asking who are you?" the voice responded back.
By now, I was terrified for my life. It actually did seem like I was messing with powers far beyond my control while I was just coming here.
"My name is Thorn. Now that I've answered, you should do the same," I said.
This was my attempt at being diplomatic and peaceful with whatever I've fucked with right now.
"You're amusing, mortal called Thorn. You are scared, so absolutely scared. Yet, you have the power to speak before me and demand I answer your questions. However I shall answer, I have no name but I am known throughout this cluster of multiverses through one title. The God ofFear."
Okay, so I'm in some pretty deep shit. But, it does seem friendly enough for conversation so that's something I need to capitalize on.
"Why am I here, God of Fear?" This question had plagued my mind since I got to Ulmuna and this seemed like the best time to get questions.
"I am not sure either Thorn. This is a special case where I am not sure what is going on with a mortal."
So not even a multiversal being knows what is going on right now.
That means I've been brought here by something even more powerful or that operates outside the realms of this multiverse.
"As much as it is enjoying to watch you squirm around trying to find where I am, I shall use a mortal vessel so you shouldn't be so confused speaking to me."
The blue torches ignited again, with an even greater ferocity than before. The whole hall glowing with a blue hue.
The darkness that had filled the room before merged onto the throne, meshing together to create a vaguely humanoid figure, one matching the outline of the statue at the church I was at before I passed out.
The darkness finally stopped moving, now refining the body into the same statue.
All it took was a few seconds before it was done transforming.
The now living statue sat upon the throne lazily, like it had no interest in me. It's three eyes betrayed its posture as they gleefully scanned my body.
"I haven't used this body in a few millennia," the God of Fear said. Their voice wasn't as loud or commanding anymore but now it sounded ancient.
"God of Fear, what shall I call you?" I asked. Saying the God of Fear every time I talked about them wasn't exactly the best thing in the world.
"Hmmm, you may call me whatever I do not mind. I've been given many monikers throughout life's existence; Ba-Ef, Diemos, Kali, Morrigon, and hundreds others." the God of Fear responded.
Those were a lot of names that I could've used but I couldn't decide on a single one.
"I'll call you Metus. It is Latin for fear or dread." I had remembered the word from some of the fan-fics I had read.
While they may be absolutely shit they gave some pretty good ideas for names.
"Latin? I've never heard of such a language but you seem pretty confident so I'll take your word." Metus responded.
They'd never heard Latin before? Maybe Latin is far outside the range of languages Metus knows.
That further cements my theory that I was brought here from something or someone outside the realms of this multiverse.
"But I've yet to find out why we seem connected. Like we're linked in some way. It's like your apart of me, like a son." Metus said obviously interested.
I haven't got the slightest clue of what Metus is talking about. Though, all the time I've been here I felt an odd sense of warmth.
"You're still scared of me Thorn. There's no reason to be but I understand. I won't hurt you, not unless you anger me. But there's something more to your fear."
"Oh?"
"Your not just scared to me but losing everything you have. You are deathly afraid of losing your power. The fear is strong in you so I assume you've only reached this level of strength recently."
So Metus is definitely smarter than I thought. And also the power to know someones fear and how afraid they are of it is also crazy nonetheless.
"Oh my, I'm correct from the looks of it. You are very weird. Tell me, where did you come from?" Metus asked curiously.
An imaginary weight had come upon my shoulders.
Should I tell Metus the real truth of how I had been nothing but a regular human before or my new backstory of being some alien beyond the stars?
Metus would probably figure out if I'm lying anyways so it would be best if I just told them the truth.
"I come from another universe, most likely far far away from your dominion. I've only just come to, having a new body and being on a strange planet. I was given a choice to come to a random world and start anew which I chose to do." I responded.
I wasn't exactly lying but telling a God that you were only a lower than average human less than a day ago didn't really sound all that cool.
"I understand. Then maybe this was fated to happen. Fate always does work in unexplainable ways, even to me.
I'll give you an option since this seems fated to be."
Now my curiosity was peaked. Maybe this was the chance I've been waiting for to gain real powers instead of a new body.
"I'll give you the choice to gain a fraction of my powers, the power to create entities of fear. Those who will instill fear into the hearts of those who even look at them. Slowly growing stronger as you become a dreadful universal entity.
Or, you could go back to Ulmuna with the dying race of Yalta while trying to accumulate power from a race not far from disappearing into nothingness." Metus said.
It wasn't even really a choice at this point. From the way Metus phrased my options, only one choice seemed correct.
I didn't even have to think before I responded and knelt before Metus, "I wish the gain a fraction of your powers. I want to become stronger than now, becoming something that instills fear only at the mentions of my name."
"So, you shall."
