As the smoke and dust from the devastating blast slowly cleared, the surviving pirates gazed out in stunned silence.
They understood what this silence meant.
Death.
"Ochoku, John, and Silver Axe... all dead by Rocks' blade!"
Yet even after unleashing Indra's Arrow, Ayr didn't pursue the Red Earl.
"It's over... Ochoku, Silver Axe…"
SLASH!!!
"Let you feel the vast difference in power before your final breath!"
After decapitating Byrnndi Wald, Ayr returned calmly to his position midair, cloaked in the chakra-fueled Ultimate Susanoo, eyes surveying the battlefield below using advanced Observation Haki. His gaze swept across the Great Rift Valley—a gash in the earth thousands of meters long, bottomless, and still crackling with residual energy.
The pirates trembled in fear. Ayr and Rocks—two monsters—stood on the battlefield like gods of war. The ambush to eliminate Ayr had collapsed into a complete catastrophe.
"The battle on your side is over, Ayr?" Rocks called out, laughing amid the chaos. "Looks like I'll need to finish my end quickly too."
As Rocks turned, the remaining pirates—seeing no hope of survival—chose suicide over execution.
Screams were followed by steel slicing flesh as over a hundred pirates drove blades into their own chests, unable to face the wrath of Ayr or Rocks.
Byrnndi Wald's famed speed—amplified fifty-fold by his Momo Momo no Mi—had failed against the blinding speed of Susanoo.
Elsewhere on the battlefield—
With a roar, Rocks charged, his twin blades glowing with a mix of Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki. The force of his swing shook the valley as he launched a brutal, coordinated attack with Ayr.
Their enemies—Ochoku, Silver Axe, and John—legendary pirates of the Rocks era, were already on the brink of collapse.
"Go to hell, Ochoku! Silver Axe!"
SLASH!!!
Rocks' blades gleamed with black steam, humming with killing intent. Ochoku and Silver Axe, covered in wounds, couldn't even defend. Their weapons were knocked away, their forms bleeding and exhausted.
"Even monsters like Byrnndi Wald fell to Ayr," muttered a nearby pirate. "How can we possibly stand against them?"
As if in answer, Rocks moved again—one swift stroke cleaving both Ochoku and Silver Axe's heads clean off. Blood sprayed like a crimson fountain as the two bodies collapsed to the ground.
"Boom!!!"
The earth trembled with their fall. The valley was now littered with corpses.
John fared no better. Just as he raised his blade, Rocks hurled his severed head to the ground and stomped it into dust, splattering the area with blood.
The surviving pirates, no more than a few dozen now, were frozen with terror.
"Did you see that thunder arrow?! That wasn't just chakra—that was a world-ending jutsu!" one of them whispered, recalling the Arrow of Indra that split the skies.
"That thing… it created a rift valley that runs for miles! Byrnndi Wald couldn't even dodge—it was as if time itself bent to Ayr's will."
The Red Earl, sensing the chaos, had already fled the battlefield. He used the moment of confusion to escape DeRosta. No one could track his presence—not even Observation Haki could catch a trace.
But Ayr wasn't concerned.
He knew.
As long as Redfield sailed the seas, he would hunt him down.
The battle was now essentially over.
Rocks glanced down at the battlefield, where blood soaked the soil. He looked at Ayr, then grinned.
"In the end, four of New World's mightiest pirates fell… and we didn't even break a sweat."
Even with severe wounds across his body, Rocks looked more like a demon than a dying man. The injuries were deep, but for someone of his monstrous caliber, they were little more than scratches.
Some of the pirates tried a final stand—rushing Rocks with everything they had.
But the strength gap was far too vast.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Rocks' blade danced with lethal precision, mowing them down like grass. The final burst of defiance only amused him.
Still, in that last moment, Rocks admitted something to himself: Ochoku, John, and Silver Axe's last stand had ignited a flicker of excitement he hadn't felt in years.
"Good fight," he said coldly. "Too bad it was your last."
Above, Ayr stood beneath Susanoo's massive form, glowing like a storm god. The battle aura around him was enough to make weaker pirates collapse from sheer pressure.
The sky still crackled with residual chakra and lightning.
"Captain Byrnndi Wald is dead," a pirate whispered, staring wide-eyed at the scorched valley.
"He had a 4.7 billion bounty… and he was erased like a fly."
The implications were terrifying. If even monsters like Wald, John, and Ochoku were helpless…
What hope did the rest of them have?
"It's better to end it ourselves… than fall to them," someone murmured. Dozens of pirates around him nodded.
Blades turned inward once more.
In the distance, someone cried out, "Fight!!!"
Then silence. Dozens more fell, blood staining the battlefield.
Ayr watched them fall, his face calm.
This was the end of an era.
The last of the Rocks pirates—John, Ochoku, Silver Axe, and Byrnndi Wald—had fallen.
Their legacy, once feared across the New World, had been wiped out in a single night.
The Ultimate Susanoo crackled softly overhead, a divine monument to the chaos left in Ayr's wake.
Rocks wiped his blade clean, looked once more to Ayr, and smiled.
"This war is over."
