"However, no matter how strong this guy is, he can't escape death today," he said, murderous intent flashing in his eyes. Ayr was incredibly powerful, capable of defeating the Five Elders alone, but in addition to the ones currently fighting Whitebeard, there were three more in Mariejois—and at this very moment, all four remaining Elders were present. Combined with the other powerhouses of the World Government, Sengoku could not believe that no matter how heaven-defying Ayr's strength was, he would leave this place alive.

"Ayr!" Garp shouted, and hearing that familiar voice, Ayr turned slightly to notice Garp and the others nearby. "Garp? What's going on? Why are Marines in the Holy Land Mariejois?" he wondered, realizing that although he still had many trump cards, the presence of Garp and the others could make things far more troublesome.

"Ayr, what is the purpose of invading the Holy Land Mariejois?" Sengoku demanded, convinced that Ayr could not have come to such a perilous place without a reason. "Invasion? This can't be called an invasion. Someone from the World Government invited me here to discuss cooperation," Ayr replied calmly, his gaze sweeping across them.

"Talk about cooperation? What a joke. Does the World Government need to cooperate with a pirate like you?" Zephyr scoffed, while Crane said sternly, "Don't lie, Ayr. The World Government would never discuss cooperation with pirates." She recalled how, during the Battle of the Valley of the Gods, the World Government had invited the Roger Pirates and the Wald Pirates to join the fight, only for the Roger Pirates to behead two Admirals and for Byrnndi Wald to unleash artillery attacks in an attempt to annihilate everyone there. After that incident, Marine hatred for pirates had reached its peak, and no one would be foolish enough to attempt cooperation again.

"You can ask the World Government about that," Ayr said nonchalantly, prompting Garp, Zephyr, Sengoku, Crane, and the others to turn toward the nearby Five Elders. "Hehehe... Do you actually believe what Ayr just said? Our World Government would never consider cooperating with a pirate," the blond Elder sneered. In truth, the Elders had no intention of revealing that they were the ones who had invited Ayr, for to admit that the most dangerous pirate in the New World had been courted for an alliance would be unthinkable to the Marines present.

"Ayr, though I don't know the real reason for your appearance here in the Holy Land, do you really think such a pathetic excuse will convince us?" said the long straight-haired Elder, stroking his beard with a stern expression. They had to conceal the fact they had tried to cooperate with him, and the Elders' words brought a faint sigh of relief to Sengoku and the rest, who promptly turned murderous gazes toward Ayr. "I knew it. There's no way the World Government would collaborate with a pirate like you."

"You've done something disgraceful and can't even admit it?" Ayr sneered. "Don't spout nonsense, Ayr. Trying to stain us with your filth is childish," the blond Elder replied coolly, just as the sword-wielding Elder whom Ayr had previously knocked away reappeared, killing intent radiating from his entire being. "Whatever your reason for coming to Mariejois, you will die here today." Negotiations had failed, and no matter what happened, they would not allow Ayr to walk out alive.

"Let me be your opponent, Ayr," Garp said, coating his fist with Armament Haki and locking eyes with him. Having trained in Mariejois under the Five Elders, his strength had grown to the point where he believed he could match Ayr blow for blow. But just as he was about to strike, the blond Elder's voice rang out: "Stand down, Garp. This is an internal matter of the World Government." Since Ayr had been invited by them, it was their responsibility to handle him now.

"If we go together, wouldn't we be able to kill Ayr faster?" Sengoku asked, but the blond Elder dismissed the idea. "Though Ayr is strong, he's not strong enough to require your intervention. Just observe from the sidelines." Brimming with pride as the highest authority in the World Government, the Five Elders refused Marine assistance. In their eyes, Ayr's combat power came from his Devil Fruit, and if they could hold out until its effects faded, victory would be theirs—though one Elder alone might not manage that, which was why the blond Elder had decided to join the fight himself.

Hearing this, Garp and the others exchanged glances but stepped back without protest. "With your current power, maybe none of us could beat you one-on-one. But Ayr, can you handle two of us at once?" the blond Elder asked, removing his black suit and loosening his tie. "You'll know if you try," Ayr replied calmly. "You're arrogant," the Elder said coldly. "You reached this level of power thanks to your Devil Fruit. But at least you'll die fighting both of us—consider that a final honor."

With that, he and the sword-wielding Elder launched themselves at Ayr, their speed astonishing as they flanked him from both sides—the sword-wielder unleashing terrifying swordsmanship while the blond Elder bore down with unmatched hand-to-hand combat.
