I knew it wasn't real the second I opened my eyes.
The room was too warm. Too quiet. And the mattress beneath me too soft, like clouds spun into silk. I didn't sleep on anything that luxurious, not in the shared dorm I bunked in with three other wolves who snored like they were summoning storms.
