Chapter 74 - 72- Conquest Begins

To say the illusion cast by Eva was scary would be an understatement, I mean, just looking at Karnilla, who quite literally had her entire viewpoint changed, I would say that her illusion is scarier than something like Kotoamatsukami of Shishui from Naruto.

And Kotoamatsukami can quite literally forcefully change wills.

"Very well then, I accept your submission, from now on, you belong to me." First, let's accept Karnilla's servitude.

And, since she has accepted, the war needs to end.

I unleashed my Aura, kind of like Conqueror's haki, descending it upon all of Nornheim, and instantly, the face of each Norn morphed into one of horror.

I force I unleashed upon each of them was different, guided by the help of Eva, and each of them saw my strength at the level of being unfathomable, something they could never hope to compete against.

And that was enough, they lost all the will to fight, it was an immediate surrender after that.

"You, take this, and wear it." I said to Karnilla, and threw a choker at her to wear, it was like a dog belt, made of leather, with a tag made of Uru metal on which it was written 'Property of God King Magnar'

I know, proper villain like actions by my side, but I don't take your opinions seriously.

Centuries of being a god has washed of most of my humanity, and whatever my moral values were in those few odd decades of my human life, and believe me, by God standards, I am a good guy.

"People of Nornheim, from this day onwards, Nornheim will cease to exist, you have two options, become a part of Asgard, or be banished from the nine realms.

But, as the God King, you have my promise that if you do become a part of Asgard, you will live a life beyond the imagination of your previous Norn selves.

And, you are all to receive my blessings, which will make you as strong as the Aesir warriors.

So, your fate depends upon your choice, make your decision now." I said aloud, my voice reaching all corners of Nornheim.

'Hmm, it seems except for some nobles, all are willing, though, the three Norns aren't…

Well, considering the clusterfuck of an illusion you just pulled, we can just eradicate these unwilling folks, and Karnilla would never know that it was an illusion.

Not that I care whether she knows or not…'

[That's a good plan, the three fates aren't that strong, and would try to meddle with your plans as much as they could, eliminating them would make your work easier.]

'Hmm, now the thing on my mind isn't Nornheim, it's Vanaheim, how do I deal with it, I mean, unlike the clearly hostile relation with Nornheim, we are in an alliance with Vanaheim, and I can't use any method which is too heavy handed due to Freyja…'

[It's simple really, crown Freyja the queen of Vanaheim, that way, there would be no problems.

Go for a private meeting with Njord and pretty much force him to abdicate the throne to Freyja, or ask for Freyja to challenge Njord, and defeat him, gaining the throne of Vanaheim.

With her current strength, defeating him would be a simple matter.]

'Hmm, I would talk to Freyja about it, with our tradition where strength reigns supreme, it would be better if Freyja fights to attain the throne, rather than attaining it through pressure by my side.

Besides, once she is done, I can bless all the Vanir, and once they are blessed, their loyalty is guaranteed.'

[Or you could just forcefully 'bless' them without any talk, and make them loyal to you, ensuring that they won't rebel.]

'…Alright, I did not think of that, but still, that feels like cheating… I will talk to Freyja first, if she doesn't agree, I would do that.'

[Haha, alright, first deal with the Norns then.]

'Yeah, wait.'

And then, pleased with the wisdom of the Norns, the mighty God King of Asgard, blessed the people of Nornheim.

Golden divine light filled the entirety of Nornheim, every nook and corner, first, any and all injuries caused by the fights were healed, even the dead were brought back to life.

Then, their strength began soaring, beyond their wildest imaginations, they had surpassed all limits they thought existed, a feeling of invincibility creeping in.

They were now as strong as the warriors of Asgard who just defeated them…

The king of the Aesir truly is kind… the thought filled all their minds.

They were not stupid, they knew how victors treated the people of the nations they had defeated, it was downright horrendous, but here he was, the god king, blessing us instead, making our lives even better than before.

And, now they can live in grand castles like the Aesirs, with no lack of resources or any hardships.

Was this really a defeat?

If they were victorious, what could they have achieved? Better lives? more wealth? Well duh, they already gained that, but that's not all, they gained even more.

A feeling of Loyalty surged within the hearts of every Norn, they were suddenly even more loyal to their new king than they were to their queen.

Who needs freedom when you have to spend that free life in poverty?

And it was not as if they weren't ruled before, queen Karnilla ruled them after all, now just the rulers had changed, and benefits had increased, so they were clearly not unwilling to this change.

With the addition of the Norns, the population of Asgard had received a major boost, their army also increased by a lot, now was the time for Vanaheim, then, the Universal conquest could begin.

"I shall also leave you another blessing." Magnar said with a smile, as his divinity of creation flared into action.

The realm of Nornheim began changing, the previous ordinary civilization vanished and instead of it, massive golden buildings started to rise, a paradise similar to Asgard, but fundamentally different looking rose.

Unlike Asgard, Nornheim did not have a castle at it's centre, in its place, was a massive Temple, dedicated to the Aesir Gods, Magnar, Freyja, Hela.

"Let's get back home, we are done here." I turned and said to Hela and Freyja and Bifrost carried us back to Asgard, along with Karnilla.

"Brynhild, take her to servant quarters, and arrange for her a room, I will deal with her later, I have some work to do." I ordered Brynhild and asked Freyja and Hela to wait for me a while.

Then I walked towards one of the deepest underground regions of Asgard.

This was the second deepest point of Asgard, a place meant to detain dangerous individuals, beings who were threats to the rule of Asgard from all over the nine realms.

The only place deeper than this was the treasury of Asgard, which was also one of the most defended places.

I walked into the prison filled with runes all over, made to suppress any being imprisoned in it to the point of losing almost all their strength.

Finally, I reached a cell within which was a disheveled old man, who looked borderline crazy.

"Long time no see… It's been a century, right? Father."
