Her thick curly hair bobbed quickly as I addressed her. Nervous, but not half as much as the one who had actually met me up close once before. Though I grinned at him when he was embarrassed, so that is my fault.
"My sister works… in fashion. She mentioned about the interview you'd be in. We were just... looking."
"Looking suspicious, more like. Hanging around for an hour, taking pictures of the building..."
The younger looking of the two adult males spoke. If this was my old world, that definitely would not have 'flown'. But the other one doesn't look like they intend to berate him for interrupting the talk of his better.
Not that I need anyone to back me up.
