When we finally reached the front of the line, Kyrie's hand gestured toward the menu board. I studied the options briefly, then nodded decisively.
"Two of the classic cheeseburgers with everything, one sweet potato fries and one regular potato wedges, and…"
For a moment I trailed off, considering the 'milkshakes' listed on the board. There was a bottle of milk already in that bag in her hand.
But I'm not very accustomed to how these things work here. Would it even still be safe to consume later, with how long it has been out of a cooler?
Vague memories of how quickly the product can spoil tells me that I should look it up later before I try and drink it. With the child to worry about, I should not take risks.
The whole idea of drinking another creature's refrigerated milk in the first place is sort of strange. But considering that I'm aware delicious butter and cheese are made from it… I was pretty interested in trying.
