Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: Inazuma

Sunlight streamed from the sky, illuminating numerous islands that had been cleaved apart, creating a magnificent spectacle.

"My goodness."

"Was this done back then by Qi... by the Immortal Lord?"

Paimon was about to say something while looking at the scene, but noticed Qiu Bai beside her quickly shaking his head, correcting her.

"Indeed."

"And this sword strike was as terrifying as the one at Yashiori Island,"

Kaedehara Kazuha frowned, gazing at the several islands split apart in the distance, murmuring.

"Yashiori Island?"

"Is that a place in Inazuma?"

Paimon looked at Kazuha with confusion.

"That's right. That's where the Raiden Shogun Musou no Hitotachi struck."

"The entire massive island was split open and the power left behind by the Raiden Shogun still lingers there."

Kazuha raised his head and murmured.

"Where that slash passed, terrifying lightning remains to this day."

"That place is also known as Musoujin Gorge."

Kazuha turned his head to look at the three people before him and slowly explained.

"That sounds scary!"

Paimon clutched her small hands together, speaking fearfully.

"Hehe, but the weather there..."

"Is quite different from here."

Kazuha crossed his arms over his chest, smiling at the frightened Paimon.

That's because he could dispel the resentment left behind after a god death, while Raiden Ei could not.

Qiu Bai watched the two chatting and smiled. Then he turned to look at his handiwork before him.

After viewing it for a while, Qiu Bai lost interest.

It would probably take at least a day to reach Inazuma.

"I'm going to lie down for a bit."

"It'll take quite some time to reach Inazuma."

After speaking, Qiu Bai headed toward the bed inside the ship and lay down.

With his hands behind his head and legs crossed, he stared at the ceiling and slowly closed his eyes.

Dream Space

"Big brother, look, quick look!"

"This is my divine power!"

A little girl ran to Qiu Bai side, excitedly saying.

In the little girl hand floated what seemed to be a tiny black cloud, with thunder and lightning flashing within it.

"Very impressive."

Qiu Bai looked at the miniature thunderstorm and said gently.

"I'm going to tell my sister!"

Hearing Qiu Bai praise, the little girl quickly ran out of the thatched cottage to find her sister.

Seeing the little girl run out, Qiu Bai face instantly turned pale and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

"Cough cough..."

"Is my time running out?"

Qiu Bai looked at his hand, his vision blurry as he spoke.

"I've spent a few years with these two little girls."

"The mortals here quite adore these two newborn gods."

Qiu Bai lips curved into a slight smile as he walked out with his hands behind his back.

This rather small island was extremely secluded.

Beyond this small island was nothing but the vast, endless sea.

In a grove on the small island.

Many thatched cottages were scattered about and the little girl was showing off to her sister.

Qiu Bai vision was extremely blurry; even looking at his own hand produced double images.

"Sister, look, big brother body..."

"Is getting better day by day!"

The little girl pulled her sister to Qiu Bai, saying happily.

"Yes, thanks to you both."

"I'm almost recovered now."

Qiu Bai crouched down and smiled at the adorable newborn god before him.

And the sister behind the little girl.

She was looking at the red and glaring bloodstains on the floor inside the cottage behind Qiu Bai, remaining silent.

"Big brother..."

The little girl sister looked at the gentle Qiu Bai with reddened eyes, murmuring.

The scene blurred and now Qiu Bai stood by the seaside.

With his hands behind his back, he gazed at the boundless sea, with the bright moon in the sky reflected on the water's surface.

"Qiu Bai..."

The cool sea breeze blew through Qiu Bai white clothes, his long hair floating freely in the wind.

"Big brother, what are you thinking about?"

The little girl sister sat obediently beside MQiu Bai, smiling as she asked.

"Nothing..."

"Just remembering an old friend."

After a moment of silence, Qiu Bai smiled at the little girl and replied.

"Is it a very good friend of big brother?"

The little girl sister looked at the gentle big brother before her, asking curiously.

"Yes..."

Qiu Bai chuckled softly, his gaze returning to the vast sea...

The scene blurred again.

"Old friend..."

"Are you really prepared?"

Zhongli stood on the mountaintop, remaining silent for a moment before asking Qiu Bai beside him.

"Yes..."

"Whatever the outcome, it needs to end."

Qiu Bai stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the sky as he murmured.

"Your opponent at that time might include me."

"And by then, I probably won't remember you anymore."

Zhongli sighed, his emotions complex as he spoke.

"Even if this world forgets me."

"Morax, you cannot forget me."

Hearing this, Qiu Bai laughed lightly, somewhat teasingly.

"Hehe."

Zhongli laughed in response.

The scene blurred once more.

"Big brother, we won't forget you..."

"Ever!"

The two little girls looked at Qiu Bai back, red-eyed as they spoke.

Then, holding the Yin-Yang Orb, they disappeared.

"No..."

"You will forget..."

After a moment of silence, Qiu Bai murmured.

"This way..."

"At least I've done something meaningful."

Then, with sword in hand, he looked at the dozen or so god-like beings, as large as mountains, lurking beneath the sea surface.

"You all..."

"Have been changed?"

Qiu Bai raised his head, looking at the dozen or so gods before him, emanating hostile pressure, as he murmured.

"Qiu Bai, Qiu Bai!"

"Wake up, we're almost there!"

Lumine and Paimon came in, smiling at Qiu Bai who was still sleeping.

"Uh..."

Qiu Bai held his head as he sat up.

"It's that feeling again, knowing I was dreaming."

"But no matter how hard I try, why can't I remember what it was?"

Qiu Bai looked at his hands in astonishment.

"Hehe, we're here already?"

Qiu Bai composed himself, slowly stood up, and followed Lumine and Paimon outside.

"Qiu Bai, Beidou was amazing just now!"

"You wouldn't believe how big the thunderstorm was, Beidou commanded the ship straight through it!"

Paimon looked at Qiu Bai with her hands on her hips, the recent scene leaving her so awestruck she could barely speak.

"Is that so?"

Upon hearing this, Qiu Bai patted Paimon head, then turned his gaze outside the ship.

Maple leaves floated in the sky.

The air carried a faint scent of cherry blossoms.

It was early morning, with the sun just rising.

Pink and purple trees swayed on distant mountains, with mist hanging in the air below them.

The buildings on the mountainside emitted a pink-purple glow.

Before them was a dock, with structures familiar to Qiu Bai, though much larger than in the game.

Houses stood along the dock, with some merchants calling out to sell fish.

Two purple flags were planted nearby, bearing the Electro element emblem.

On the roads, women wore kimonos.

Some wore hats and carried tridents as they walked along the dock.

"We've finally arrived?"

"Inazuma."

A slight smile appeared on Qiu Bai lips as he gazed at the beautiful scenery before him.
