think I went to hell." Hela told Klein.
"Why did Mr Fool make me go on that journey with the Hermit? Amanises has mermaids. I could have just asked her." Klein said.
"Yeah all you really got out of it was this dumbass." Hela pointed at Anderson who was sitting at another table.
"Also being separated for so long sucked." Klein mentioned.
"Adam said he would come to help us with a grade 0 sealed artifact he needed as apparently we are going to encounter it soon at least this was around the time Mr Fool encountered it."
"Indeed I am." Adam said as he sat at the table.
The two of them immediately jumped from their seats.
"I hate that ability." Klein said.
"Well I can't turn it off."
"By the way how does it work exactly? Does it respond to anything someone says Adam or does it specifically have to be about you?"
"It has to refer to me."
Anderson walked over and placed his arm on Adam's shoulder.
"Hey I don't think they are interested in whatever you are preaching."
"I'm not preaching anything. By the way, get your arm off me before I rip it off."
Anderson felt immense danger and backed off.
"Thanks for trying to help but he's here to help us with something."
"Oh, what is it?" Anderson asked.
Reinette appeared from the spirit world and passed a letter to Klein.
"Looks like Edwina went missing." Klein said.
Klein used the traveller ability inside creeping hunger to open a door to the Golden Dream.
'Luckily Mr Fool provided this for me. It's so convenient. Praise the Fool.' Klein thought inwardly.
"Alright, where's the book." Klein said.
"The crew members were too busy being surprised to answer."
"Umm, which one?" Danitz asked.
"Groselle's travels. I divined it so don't worry."
***
Inside Groselle's travels they all finally found Groselle's camp.
"What are you doing here?" Groselle asked.
"We're here to help you slay the King of the North." Klein said.
"Haha, that's great! Now we are friends!" Groselle roared.
Edwina appeared and spotted everyone.
"Groselle, these are my companions. I don't know who he is though." She pointed at Adam.
"Nice to meet you, I am Adam. Gehrman asked for my help and I am interested in the book so after this is over I would like to buy it from you."
"We'll talk about that later. But anyway since you're a friend of a friend I see no problem selling it to you."
***
They talked about their times and the history that had happened when Klein mentioned the Ancient Sun God, Snowman began rambling. Klein and Hela were trying their hardest not to laugh as Adam stood there with a slight smile.
"The omnipotent and omniscient lord is truly great from your words. I could almost imagine "him" being in the room with us." Adam said.
Klein and Hela could not hold back their laughter as they began violently laughing. No one else understood the joke and simply thought they were crazy.
"Yes the lord is with us all. You must be a fellow follower of the lord to speak such profound words. You are truly worthy of sharing a name with one of the lord's angels." Snowman exclaimed.
They talked a bit more as they waited for the dragon to arrive.
"Not even sequence 4, Ankewelt you did quite a sloppy job here. Or perhaps there are some bigger secrets hidden here," Adam muttered, he then took a step forward. "I'll handle this just watch."
Everyone looked at Gehrman and Hela who seemed extremely calm.
"He's got this." Hela confirmed.
The dragon glared at Adam who approached it seemingly unafraid. A sea of infinite colours swirled as "he" borrowed some power from the Chaos Sea.
"Let there be light."
'What a plagiarist.' Klein and Hela thought.
A pillar of light struck down the ice dragon. The dragon's corpse then exploded as a giant heavy door appeared.
"Wow, I would hate to read that ending." Anderson joked.
"Now is the hard part." Adam said.
"What do you mean?" Siatas asked.
"Well you have been here for several epochs so the moment you leave you will rapidly age and die." Adam explained.
Everyone fell silent.
"But don't worry we have someone to handle that."
***
The Fool watched the golden dream carefully. "He" dilated time to make sure the timing was correct. As everyone stepped through the door "he" acted. Immediately "he" invoked several miracles to extend their lifespan to the point they could still live. "He" then rewound time on their bodies to reverse the aging that would have occurred.
***
"Looks like it worked. Praise the Fool." Klein said.
"Praise the Fool." Hela said.
"The Fool?" The others asked, confused.
"Don't worry about it a lot has changed since you were gone." Adam calmly explained.
They explained the current state of the world to the others answering their questions.
"So the lord has fallen." Snowman sighed.
"Yes, but "he" will return." Adam replied.
"I want to find the resting place of her highness and then search for any remaining elves." Siatas said.
"I will go with you since I don't have anywhere to go." Mobet added.
"We can take you with us. It would be interesting to see elvish ruins." Edwina mentioned.
"I plan on finding some of my descendants. However I first need to re-advance the sequences since my potion wasn't real." Frunzier said.
"We can help with that." Klein interjected.
"I am going to look for remnants of the lord as there must be something remaining." Snowman declared.
"How about you come with me, I have connections to the lord's angels." Adam mentioned.
Everyone who didn't know looked at "him" extremely shocked.
"Yes, let us spread the lord's will through the land."
"Groselle, what about you?" Klein asked.
"I want to visit the giant Kingston court one last time. After that I don't know. Perhaps I'll join Siatas and Mobet to find any remaining elves and perhaps some remaining giants." Groselle said.
"I could bring you to the giant king's court as there is someone I want to visit." Adam told them.
"Wonderful, as we are friends I suppose we should stay in contact." Groselle said.
"Use my lord's honorific name. He can pass messages between us all." Klein told everyone.
"I'm guessing your lord is The Fool. Though why are you using he instead of "he"? Siatas asked.
"The Fool does not need to be addressed with honorific all he asks of his followers is to pray with all their hearts." Klein made something up.
"Interesting. Well what is it?" Mobet asked curiously.
"The Fool that doesn't belong to this era; the mysterious ruler above the grey fog; the king of yellow and black who wields good luck."
"Interesting I am unable to decrypt the meaning behind his honorific name." Mobet mused.
"I have another one I could tell you if you want more information." Klein said.
"This is quite interesting so do tell. I wish to learn more about the new gods in this time."
"Well he isn't an orthodox deity so don't go asking around about him. His other honorific name is. Lord of the mysteries; king of space-time; beacon of destiny; embodiment of Sefirah castle; dominator of the spirit world."
"Quite interesting, while I am not able to determine much I can vaguely guess his pathway. I assume he is a god of the door pathway given the connection to space and the spirit world. Though other parts of his honorific name seem to point at other pathways. By the way, are the orthodox churches still around?" Mobet asked.
"Yes, though the church of the God of craftsmanship has become the God of steam and machinery."
They spoke a bit more before they went their separate ways.magician performed at the square. "His" performance shocked the crowd as "he" performed seemingly impossible feats. As "he" ended "he" took a bow.
"Thank you for watching everyone."
"He" snapped his fingers and disappeared in a burst of flame. Merlin appeared in an empty allay. "He" waited for the official beyonders to show up.
"Stop right there!"
"15 minutes."
"Huh?"
Merlin looked at the beyonder dressed like a cop. While "he" wore a polite smile, "his" eyes however clearly displayed disappointment.
"Are you alone?" Merlin asked.
The official beyonder looked nervously at the mysterious magician.
"Well I guess this makes things easy."
***
Merlin walked in to the cathedral belonging to the Evernight goddess. "He" strolled in to Chanis gate and was greeted by the guards.
"Lucas, how was the patrol?"
"Pretty boring." Merlin replied.
"Want to play some cards?"
"Sure."
They played a few rounds and Merlin grew increasingly bored.
'Why do mortals find this fun?'
"I'm going to go. I think I have lost enough money today." The broke God left to find some more entertainment.
***
Leonard walked in to the cathedral, his investigation of Ince Zangwill wasn't going very well. He sat down eating when another Nighthawk passed him a note.
'Meet me at Bravehearts bar if you want help getting revenge. -Merlin Hermes.'
***
Leonard walked in to the bar and immediately spotted Merlin drinking something.
"Nice to see you again." Merlin said with a large smile on "his" face.
"How are we getting revenge?" Leonard asked.
"How rude, can't even have some small talk, you know catch up on old times and all that stuff."
"I prefer not to think about what happened in Tingen."
"Right, that's perfectly fair. Anyway for now don't pursue Ince, I will tell you when the time is right. For now, grow stronger so you actually stand a chance."
"How can I do that?"
"I have a group of people who gather for that exact purpose. We have a meeting tomorrow at 3pm. Just chant my honorific name and I'll let you join."
Merlin left before Leonard could ask however he left a note. He quickly read it and after he finished it burst in to flame.
'Old man, I understand why you are scared of "him".'
"Hey he left without paying so you got to pay." The bartender said.
'Broke ass god.'
***
"Good afternoon Mr Fool~." Miss Justice said in her usual cheery tone.
"Good afternoon Miss Justice."
She went down the line until reaching the Empress.
"Um, congratulations on reaching sequence 7… should we call you Miss Empress now?"
"I guess, it feels kind of weird though. Too bad the others won't let me advance straight away even though the potion is already digested."
Justice continued greeting everyone until she reached a new member.
"Oh, red gloves. Looks like we got a spy in the Tarot club Mr Fool" Audrey joked.
"Haha, well let me introduce you to Mr Star."
"So you're the gay poet who stole my codename. You're a red gloves huh. Get ready to be demoted." Amanises said, confusing the new member.
"Umm, I'm sorry I didn't even pick it. In fact I didn't know what my codename was until now. Are you a high ranking member of the Church of Evernight?" Leonard asked.
"You could say that."
The other members tried their best not to laugh, luckily the fog hid their faces otherwise Leonard would have thought something was amiss.
"I have a few pages of Roselle's diary from her majesty. She also wants to ask about some specific characters." Cattleya said.
"Home. That is what it translates to." The Fool responded.
Everyone remembered The Fool's hometown which "he" had shown them.
"May I ask if she may visit the Emperor's hometown?"
"I'll allow it. But next meeting."
Leonard eventually received the translated diary pages as they were passed around.
'Emperor Roselle, you truly are… shameless. Also who called me a gay poet?'
They moved on to exchanges.
"Does anyone know the formula for sequence 6 of the sleepless pathway?" Leonard asked.
"Yeah, I got it. As payment, stop sending your stupid poems to me." The High priestess said.
"Umm, right."
'Who is The High priestess? How is she getting my poetry?'
"Wait, how am I supposed to know who to stop sending it to?" Leonard asked.
"The Evernight goddess."
"What?"
An awkward silence enveloped the room before the World suddenly started laughing, finally followed by the rest of the members.
"Since you seem a bit slow. Let me explain, The High priestess is the Evernight goddess." Miss Empress explained.
'What? Also why am I being talked down to by a child and why is that child the same sequence as me?'
"By the way I know you're insulting me. I'm actually stronger than you for… reasons." The Empress said.
"Well I'll have you know I have my own secrets." Leonard said.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Probably not as good as mine."
"Oh really?"
"Wanna bet?" Miss Empress taunted him.
"I'm not arguing with a child."
"You just were."
Leonard went silent. They continued with a few exchanges before they moved on.
"Alright, it seems we have nothing in the free exchange. So now let's decide what we are going to make Mr Star sing." Audrey said.
The palace changed to the karaoke room as the fog covering everyone dissipated. Leonard, surprised by the sudden event, looked around and saw all the Tarot club members. Eventually his eyes landed on the World.
"Klein!"
"Oh, hi Leonard. Sorry I couldn't tell you but you know how it is right? Coming back from the dead and all. I think it's better we have a more serious talk later my dear poet."
Hela glared at Klein when he said those last few words.
"Klein, if you're gay just say so." Hela said seemingly annoyed.
"I'm not!" Klein shouted.
Klein and Hela began arguing.
"Haha." Leonard began laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" Klein asked.
"It's just you always felt a bit distant from everyone so it's good to see you getting close to someone is nice."
"Hmm, I guess I was."
"So did you also join the Tarot club for revenge?" Leonard asked.
"Well that's part of the reason." Klein replied.
Audrey suddenly ran up.
"Sorry to interrupt but we got the song you're going to sing."
"Umm, I don't know how to sing."
"Well better start learning. Don't worry too much as Klein's tone deaf and you can't be worse than Alger." Audrey shivered when she remembered Alger's singing.
***
As everyone left Klein kept the Evernight goddess in Sefirah castle.
Notes:Klein, what do you want?" Amanises asked.
"Let's go on a date." The Fool said in a playful manner.
"What?"
"Well I've been bored lately and this seemed like a fun idea. Klein and Hela seem to find it fun."
"I don't think you really understand what a date means."
"Well I guess that's a no then. I'll find someone else. Hmm do you think I could get an outer deity to go with me? That seems like a fun idea."
"Why don't you ask the other me?"
"Well we have come to the consensus that we don't want to interact with each other more than necessary." The Fool answered.
'We did?' Eternal Darkness Amanises was confused but also a little hurt though she hid it very well.
'What should I do?' Evernight asked her other self.
'Go through with it, I do not want the Mother Goddess of Depravity walking around with that madman in the middle of a large population.'
'Calling him a madman is a little harsh don't you think?'
'Fine a lunatic.'
'You sound upset.'
'As he said, we have come to the consensus not to interact unless necessary.'
Evernight turned her attention back to The Fool.
"You know what, sure. It will be good for our humanity anyway."
"Oh, right… Humanity." The Fool thought out loud.
***
Klein and Hela walked around Bayam as they were going on a date. Klein was still trying to figure out how to make a fusion of Zhou Mingrui and Klein Moretti that wasn't just copying the other him, so for now he was just using Klein's face as Zhou would stand out too much and Gehrman Sparrow being awkward on a date was definitely not happening as it would ruin his image.
"I have no idea how dates work." Hela suddenly blurted out.
"Me neither, I've been using my marionettes to spy on people to figure out what to do the whole time." Klein said.
"Phew, I was using spirits."
"I know. I was just being polite by not saying anything."
"This date's going to be a disaster isn't it?" Hela frowned.
"Well, better make the most of it." Klein replied.
***
'Where did my life go wrong to end up here?'
The Evernight goddess one of the seven orthodox deities and current strongest true god. Was currently drinking sweet iced tea with an alternate universe version of her blessed while the her from that universe was watching.
'Well at least he seems to be enjoying himself.' Amanises looked at the bright side.
The Fool happily drank "his" sweet iced tea and took bites of "his" meal.
***
"Hmm, the 5th epoch is very interesting. So many new advancements. Who was the person who caused this?" Mobet Zoroast explored the port city they had stopped at alongside Siatas.
"I believe it was Emperor Roselle." Siatas carefully adjusted the hat she was given making sure it covered her ears.
"A fascinating man. I would love to have met him. Perhaps Frunzier may have."
"Perhaps. Anyway, let's get something to eat. I'm hungry."
"Sure thing."
***
"You know when we return to Backlund I'm going to miss the food out here. The food there is still good and they have some things I can't get here, don't get me wrong but this food is just immaculate." Klein ranted about his food.
"Wow, fancy words. Anyway what I will miss most is being able to breathe fresh air." Hela said.
Klein took a bite of his food.
***
'Tasteless… I was wondering whether it was a problem with the historical void projections or me. Guess that answers it.' The Fool acted as if "he" could taste it hoping for some memory to return.
***
"Mmm, food now tastes so good." Siatas cheered.
"Certainly better than what we were eating in the book." Mobet said.
***
Klein and Hela awkwardly held hands as they went for a romantic walk around the city.
'Why is this so hard? We have kissed before. This is going backwards. Is it the fact it's in public? That shouldn't be the case as I felt like I overcame all social awkwardness with our relationship after being made fun of by the Tarot club for the 500th time.' Klein lampooned.
'Heh, he looks cute when panicking.' Hela looked at Klein's face, seemingly able to read his every thought.
They continued their date enjoying the Bayam to the fullest. Klein was feeling the happiest he had ever been.
***
'Bored… how boring. Humans are boring. There is no thrill to any of this. I need someone to do something interesting.' The Fool thought.
"Klein, how are you holding up?" Amanises asked worriedly.
"I'm doing great." The Fool lied as if it were second nature.
Amanises shook. The Fool's form had constantly been shifting through various people, some she recognised like Klein or Apollo. Others were new, one seemed to be a tycoon in his 40s while another was a clown without bizarre facial features. Everyone passed by as if nothing were out of the ordinary.
People passed by, living their lives. All of a sudden The Fool stared at a pair of people.
***
'Melissa, Benson. What are they doing here?' Klein wondered.
Shortly after he realised something. He was using Klein's face. He lowered his hat in an attempt to hide hoping they didn't notice him.
***
"Melissa, you are too worried. Just enjoy the holiday." Benson tried to calm down his sister.
"B-but." Melissa had been adamant about not going until this point.
"No buts, we are already here so just relax."
Melissa, unable to refute any further, quickly scanned the area. Suddenly she froze.
'It can't be.' Melissa's heart was beating rapidly as she saw someone who shouldn't be here. She unconsciously let words slip. "Klein!"
***
'Damn, she saw me.' Klein froze at his name being called.
"Klein, don't hide. It will do you no good." Hela spoke as if reading his mind.
"B-but. It would put them in danger." Klein refuted.
"With Mr Fool around? Oh, please even if every organisation on the planet hunted them down they wouldn't even come close." Hela retorted.
"We're on a date though."
"Well I wouldn't mind meeting your family. Since you have no parents I should at least get a blessing from your older brother."
Klein's face flushed at the thought.
"I mean the Tarot club has already prepared for the wedding so this is really the only thing we're missing." Hela mentioned.
***
"How annoying." The Fool muttered in disgust.
"He" finished turning all the Rose school of thought members in to marionettes. Amanises jumped out of her seat at the words.
"Klein, what happened?"
"It's nothing, let's end our date here. I have something to deal with." The Fool wore a malicious smile.
'Ask him on another one as he seemed to enjoy this.' Eternal Darkness Amanises whispered.
"Klein, let's go on another date later."
"Sure." The Fool replied as "he" left.
***
Klein waved at Melissa nervously. He tried his best to put on a smile using his clown abilities.
"Klein, be honest with your feelings." Hela said.
Klein stopped controlling his face revealing his conflicted emotions. Melissa clearly began tearing up as she ran towards the couple.
"Klein! Is that really you?"
"Yes. I'll explain how soon."
Suddenly Klein heard a message from The Fool.
"Leave Bayam if you value your life or the lives of your companions. I won't be able to protect you. Leave soon as I am going to seal the spirit world." The Fool warned.
Klein suddenly turned pale. He turned to Hela and noticed she seemed to receive the same message.
"Melissa, we have to get out of here."
Klein summoned a door using the traveller abilities. Melissa and Benson were shocked at the sudden use of what seemed to be magic. The door suddenly turned a crimson red and bloody intestines emerged as if they were limbs reaching for Klein.
***
In the astral world The Fool was surrounded by several Great Old Ones. "He" looked at the large crack in the world barrier.
"Interesting. Have I overestimated the durability of the barrier? No, even if it is weaker, so are all of you. Right I do suppose that my transmigration could have weakened the barrier enough for you to invade. Now have you really come all this way to kill me?" The Fool watched the outer gods who were ready to attack. "Well I suppose I could use a few more artifacts."
***Klein held Melissa's hand as tightly as he could. They ran from the squirming mounds of flesh rampaging through the city. Klein saw people who unfortunately couldn't run fast enough and became prey for the monsters. Klein but his lip, it was sad they had died but he had to focus on the safety of himself and the ones around him first.
Suddenly the mounds of flesh were consumed by black flames. Emerging from the fire was a small girl about 10 years old.
"How does it feel to be outdone by a child." Lumina mocked.
"You're cheating so it's not really a comparison." Klein replied.
***
The Fool looked at the match up.
'Ha, they have counters to so many of my abilities. It's almost as if the universe hates me as how come the strongest beings in the universe all counter me.' The Fool lampooned.
"Well it doesn't matter. After all… you all fear me for a reason." The Fool's words caused the outer deities to hesitate for a moment.
Seizing the opportunity The Fool replicated destruction spewing waves of black flames at the great old ones. The Fool then replicated magnify to enhance the flames of destruction. The Great old ones attempted to escape the area through various means however The Fool would not let that happen. "He" replicated space-time in one and began pulling the outer deities towards the fire.
Monarch of Decay attempted to delay the endpoint of this attack allowing the other deities to counter it. The Fool utilised the gap in Monarch of Decay's attention and used Foolishness to convince the Monarch that the attack was the fourth pillar making its instinct to converge act.
The Mother Goddess of Depravity granted new life to the Monarch of Decay removing the Fooling. "She" then rooted "herself" in place avoiding being dragged in to the attack. The Primordial Hunger acted and began devouring the flames. The Fool reacted grafting return all things to chaos on the flames preventing any abilities from being devoured.
'Perhaps I overestimated myself. I can win however I would have to disregard my own safety as well as the entire universe to win. If I don't do that I would probably only be able to fight 5 at once.' The Fool thought.
"He" pulled out two historical void projections. One of Amanises and the other of Lumian, with both of them possessing them they could display power nearing their original forms which since the Great old ones of this world were weaker made them roughly equal if not a bit stronger.
"You really have a talent for provoking." Lumian said.
"He really is courting death isn't he? But just saying I'm not interested." Amanises joked.
"Oh, come on, we just went on a date." The Fool replied.
"Not me so it doesn't count. She doesn't even have the death uniqueness."
"Glad you two are feeling better." Lumian jumped in.
"Well you can't be picky with your allies when you are attacked by 10 great old ones." The Fool responded.
***
Klein attempted to enter Sefirah castle however he was blocked. He sighed and turned to the others. They were all hiding in a building trying to wait out the disaster. Klein turned a few flesh creatures in to marionettes to keep watch outside.
"What's worse, the incident with the admiral's wife or this?" Hela asked.
"The one with the admiral's wife. At least here if we get caught I will just die." Klein answered.
"How are you talking about dying so easily?" Melissa asked.
"It just comes with the business." Klein replied.
"Why are you doing it then? Also now that we are here please start explaining." Melissa said in an annoyed voice.
"Where do you want to start?" Klein asked.
"How about you start with your girlfriend." Benson said lighten the mood before getting to the heavy stuff.
"Well that's a bit far but pretty much we mat while I was disguised as a detective in Backlund. I hired her friend to be a bodyguard and after that we all began working together in order to hunt down some evil cults. After the great smog incident we became adventurers and then started dating after the aforementioned incident with an admiral's wife. We did get separated shortly after in order to get stronger. So before we were interrupted we were on our first date." Klein explained.
"I'm glad you found someone. Now I'm feeling like a curly haired baboon as you have a girlfriend before me. Hopefully it works out." Benson joked.
"We're practically engaged." Hela mentioned.
'If we broke up the others would probably hunt us down with pitchforks.' Klein lampooned.
"Yeah definitely." Hela seemingly read Klein's mind.
"How do you do that?" Klein asked.
"Do what?" Hela acted oblivious.
Klein didn't pursue it any further as he knew he wouldn't get anywhere.
***
The true gods of Earth had long escaped the astral world. The Fool replicated supernova dominators white hole severely wounding the outer gods. "He" immediately followed by creating errors in the Mother Goddess of Depravity's new life delaying it by a second "he" then further expanded that time before fooling "her".
The Fool smiled with glee. The outer deities' spiritual intuition immediately went off sensing extreme danger. The Fool replicated the termination symbolism of the fourth pillar.
"Klein, what the hell are you doing?" Amanises yelled.
The Fool ignored her words and simply dismissed their historical void projections. "He" looked at the outer deities.
"Hmm, it's weaker than I thought. Well that will be fixed when I get stronger."
***
Klein had finished explaining the events that led him to this point to Melissa and Benson.
"Klein, I think we need to get you a therapist." Melissa blurted out.
"I already have the best one in the universe." Klein retorted.
"You need one that doesn't let you go on dangerous adventures."
***
"That fucking madman!" Eternal Darkness shouted in frustration.
"I mean he is getting rid of the outer deities." Evernight stated.
"Do you understand what he did?"
"No, you haven't explained it to me."
***
The astral world was filled with silence as a portion of it had been completely erased by the termination symbolism. The Fool had returned after escaping the area.
"He" noticed the world barrier had almost been completely destroyed as there was a large portion which had been completely eradicated.
"He" sighed imagining the earful "he" would receive from Amanises once "he" returned. Suddenly a tree branch pierced The Fool's heart. "He" turned to see the Mother Goddess of Depravity behind "him".
"So you all escaped. Well I suppose that's to be expected." The Fool calmly spoke.
Flowers bloomed from the branch as 6 figures were birthed from the flowers. The Fool immediately recognised them. Zhou Mingrui, Klein Moretti, Sherlock Moriarty, Gehrman Sparrow, Dwayne Dantes and Merlin Hermes.
"Ha, giving life to my personas how interesting."
The Mother Goddess of Depravity retreated, returning to the moon in order to recover from "her" injuries. The Fool looked at the persona's given life and wondered what to do with them. They were in a way parts of "him" however given how "she" often caused the beings' newly given life to betray their origin The Fool knew what must be done. "He" took out a revolver from the historical void the same one Klein used to kill himself.
'Six shots, that should be enough.' The Fool thought.
First "he" walked up to Merlin Hermes. While in "his" original world this persona wasn't used for long "he" still felt an attachment to it much like the others. "He" wanted to travel the world seeing many things and meeting many people, but most importantly "he" wanted to help people that was why "he" created this persona. Merlin smiled at The Fool.
"Do you want to make a wish?" Merlin asked.
The Fool wanted to respond however "he" knew that this persona did not have the power to grant it.
"That wish is something only you can do." Merlin said.
The Fool looked at the wandering magician for a while.
"I am a part of you after all. Why wouldn't I know what you want?"
Bang. The Fool fired the first bullet. Merlin took a bow before fading away. The Fool forced a smile.
'A clown.'
Looking at the next persona "he" looked Dwayne Dantes in the eye. This persona was the one to make "him" the most money. However "he" gave away large portions of that money in order to help people. But the persona was a bit different then the others, this one was inspired by someone.
"Looking for some advice?" Dwayne asked.
The Fool wanted help, "he" needed it now more than ever. But this persona had no advice that would be of help.
"You're right, there is nothing I can tell you that you don't already know. However you already know the answer to what you want or rather where to find it." Dwayne said.
The Fool sighed.
"You wanted me to be like him, but I'm not. Or rather you're not."
Bang. The Fool fired the second shot. Dwayne mouthed a sentence before fading away.
'A miserable wretch.'
The Fool moved on to Gehrman Sparrow. "He" had spent a lot of "his" time as this persona. It was "his" first real performance as "he" began taking acting seriously. Sometimes "he" wondered whether this was even an act.
"What do you need me to do?" Gehrman asked.
The Fool wanted him to save "him" much like how he did for others. However this persona didn't have the power for that.
"I may not be able to save you and maybe no one can. But you know what you need to do in order to at least stand a chance." Gehrman said.
The Fool listened.
"Why do you want me to give you advice? How am I any better than you? I can't do any more than you can."
Bang. The Fool fired the third shot. Gehrman didn't react as he faded in to nothing.
'Madman.'
The Fool stepped towards Sherlock Moriarty. This was the first persona "he" created. "He" was honestly feeling a bit nostalgic. The days when all "he" wanted was to get revenge. They were simple at this point "he" was still getting "his" own footing in the world.
"Want me to tell you a secret?" Sherlock asked.
The Fool wondered what it would be and listened carefully. However "he" knew this persona knew nothing "he" didn't know.
"Why are you looking at me like that? You already know it. Well I guess a reminder is always good. However, it should be someone else reminding you." Sherlock said.
The Fool hummed waiting for more words.
"I have nothing else to say. You may be annoyed however we're a part of you so you're just being annoyed at yourself."
Bang. The Fool fired a fourth bullet. Sherlock looked off in to the distance as he faded.
'An idiot.'
The Fool slowly approached Klein Moretti. "He" sometimes felt conflicted about this persona, "he" often wondered if it even was a persona or if it was really "him". "He's" still wondering however now "he" can ask.
"If you need anything, ask someone else." Klein said.
The Fool was unable to muster any words. "He" knew this persona was just ask clueless as "he" was.
"I never thought I would be having an identity crisis. Aren't we in our 30's now? Shouldn't we be worrying about more important things? Well I guess I shouldn't say that after all we are important. You just have to realise that."
The Fool was surprised as Klein had given actual advice.
"I'm sorry I don't have more to say. We're the same person. You have a long life to live and so long to discover yourself."
The Fool hesitated.
"It's okay, just pull the trigger." Klein whispered.
The Fool fired, "he" closed "his" eyes not knowing what Klein was doing as "he" died.
'A… tragedy.'
The Fool looked down as "he" walked to Zhou Mingrui. This was what "he" considered to be the real "him" however looking at him now they couldn't be any more different.
"You know I never expected to end up like this." Zhou said.
The Fool couldn't make eye contact with him. "He" wondered if this was a persona like the others. In fact was Klein a persona? However could he answer that question?
"I believe we're all real. We are all a part of you. Just because you consider them acts doesn't mean they aren't a part of you. You know I read something about how actors often put a part of themselves in to the character. That's why having the right person for the right character is important."
The Fool wondered if that was true.
"I don't know if it's true. Just the same as you. Because we are all the same."
The Fool raised the gun. "He" realised "he" couldn't pull the trigger. Zhou Mingrui took the gun from The Fool. The Fool looked away as a gunshot was heard. The gun returned to The Fool's hands with no bullets remaining.
'Please save me.'
The branch sprouted one more flower and one more figure. It was Mr Fool. Mr Fool was a persona meant to guard "himself" keeping others at a distance. The lofty leader of the Tarot club and an untouchable being above all others.
"You disgust me." Mr Fool spoke with bitter malice.
The Fool was surprised by the hatred from this persona. Though now calling "him" a persona didn't seem very accurate.
"You are nothing like me. In fact you have become like the outer gods I fought against. You do not care for the world nor anyone living in it. To you everything is just a plaything. Something to entertain you."
