Dominic had been watching Inez like a predator. Every move that she made, every step that she took, he eyed it carefully. And when she walked away from Killian, heading to the restroom, he bolted right after her, leaving Eve behind.
"Dom!" Eve watched him walk away without looking at her, and her expression turned flustered. She stared at the man who had gotten more and more distant from her, and her heart was filled with panic. If he really started to ignore her, then what would happen to her? Forget about the pack members; her own family would never let her off.
Because of Dominic, worry had become her constant companion, and she was now drowning in anxiety.
