"Kabir…Kabir," Lucien snapped him out of his thoughts. Kabir glanced around, and there was no one. The restaurant was calm, and Lucien sat opposite him, eating his meal calmly.
"So what have you been up to?" Lucien asked, and Kabir just stared at him blankly. His head was in the sky, and he could not make out what was happening. It all felt so real; he could have sworn he saw Donavan Swan, but then everything looked just fine, and Lucien was smiling like all was well.
"What are you up to? What did you do to me?" Kabir yelled, but Lucien stared blankly, not sure of what to do.
"The food would get cold, Kabir; you should eat something," Lucien urged, like he could not sense the pressure, the change, and everything.
