Chapter 41 - Not Good Men

A soft groan escaped Rhane's lips, his hand on his waist zipping up his trousers. He picked up a shirt from the couch, giving a quick glance at the bathroom before quietly leaving the room.

He felt it! The slip of control and sanity slowly leaving Jenna. She almost lost her mind trying to keep her emotions in check, and it could be seen in her eyes. Even the scent of her wetness and arousal when she spread her legs to wash for him.

Rhane inhaled deeply and sighed; he could almost taste it at that moment. That ecstatic feeling of burying his face between Jenna's thighs and eating her till her eyes rolled back.

Walking down the hallway with a quirky smile on his lips, those dull hazel eyes scanned around the place, and when he found who he was looking for, he halted and grinned.

"Found you," Rhane's grin widened. He watched from where he stood as Percy kissed the young master's ass, not literally.

Percy continued bowing, "Yes, Master, yes...let me know if you need anything. Yes, I put in the incense to get rid of mosquitoes. Yes..." He bowed and bowed continuously even when Hart closed his door shut.

"Have a goodnight's sleep, don't worry about anything at all. I'll be awake waiting for you... Goodnight, good Master Hart," Percy smiled, staring at the door longingly.

Feeling a shadow cover him, Percy frowned, slowly turning his head to meet the familiar face resting on his shoulder, which now stared at the door, grinning ear to ear.

"Do you love men?" Rhane asked, his crazy eyes leaving the door and settling on Percy. His chin relaxed on the young man's trembling shoulder.

"I...let me go...I did nothing," Percy shuddered, trying to move away, but Rhane pressed his chin even harder on his shoulder.

Rhane hummed, his eyes narrowing as if he were annoyed. "That didn't answer my question. And don't you know the quote...what was it?"

"Never bite the hand that feeds you?" Percy tried to help.

Rhane tutted, "No, not that one, the other one about... um..."

"Many kiss the hand they wish to cut off?" Percy added, now relaxing slowly.

Rhane raised his upper lip and scowled, "Do you have a hand fetish?"

"No, I'm trying to—"

Rhane snapped his fingers, "Aha! Yes. A guilty heart fears no accusations, right? Sounds like it."

Percy covered his mouth, trying to stifle his laughter, "It's a clear conscience that fears no..." he trailed off, seeing the frown on Rhane's face.

"I see you're the smart one around here, right Percy?" Rhane stood up straight, moving his hand forward to rub his hair gently ruffling it in the process.

"Let's go for a walk," he began walking but halted when he didn't hear Percy following him behind.

Percy raised his hand in a surrendering gesture. "I kept your secret, I didn't tell an—"

"Hush now, Percy," Rhane sighed, "People might think I have intentions of making you permanently unable to use your legs if you don't start walking."

Percy didn't need to be informed twice. He ran ahead of Rhane, opening the door that led outside.

"After you, Lord Rhane," he said with a deep bow.

Rhane tucked his hands inside his trouser pockets, passing through the door with no expression on his face.

Outside the house, the rain had finally reduced in intensity, the noise of its heaviness replaced by the croaking of frogs and the chirping of crickets from a distance.

"Hummm," Rhane stretched his body once outside, staring at the grey, dark sky. The corner of her lips curled into a smile.

Percy stood by the corner, pressing his hands together, his eyes looking down at his feet.

"Who is he? The young master you're in love with?"

Percy found a reason to raise his face in an attempt to protect his honor and defend his pride. "Young Master Hart isn't a man like that. He is a very good man that women vie to be with!"

"Oh... it seems our Percy knows a lot," Rhane averted his gaze from the sky, settling them on Percy. "Tell me more."

Percy turned his face away and hmphed. "Why should I?"

"I wasn't asking," Rhane reminded him with a smile.

Percy cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his hand, and began. "Well, you see... when our mistress used to live with her father, she had two friends: one, her first love, and the other, Young Master Hart. As you already know, her first love is now happily married, but rumor has it that Young Master Hart has always loved our mistress but kept it to himself as unrequited love. Though he speaks on it playfully, that's all it's ever been."

"Mm, a childhood love triangle," Rhane nodded, his eyes staring coolly into space.

Percy huffed a chuckle, "It's not just an ordinary childhood love... it seems our mistress wishes to remarry. I heard she got a hairpin. Who knows, she might really look at Young Master Hart finally."

Seeing Rhane's hard stare, Percy turned around, hitting the air like he didn't remember saying anything.

"I tend to speak gibberish on nights like this," he muttered.

Rhane rested his back against a wall, crossing his arms on his chest. "I want the next trade travel done as soon as possible."

"Well," Percy shrugged, "That's our mistress's orders we follow. We can't just embark on... I mean, I can talk to her," Percy changed his words the moment Rhane raised his hand to brush off a dust on his trousers.

"I will convince our mistress," Percy nodded, more to himself.

Rhane smiled, "Good," he waved his hand in a gesture telling Percy to leave.

"But... why?" Percy asked, standing by the door.

"Why? I need a little time with her without bugs, that's why," Rhane replied, noticing a movement coming from Jenna's room. His eyes lit up.

Percy pressed his lips tightly, "When are you going to tell the mistress the truth? She would feel betrayed if she finds out, you know?"

Rhane sucked his teeth, seeing Jenna walk towards her window. "Life is all about timing, silly Percy." He grinned.

"And some truths aren't even necessary; hypocrites just exaggerate, that it is." He began walking back to Jenna's room.

Percy tried to stop him, and said, "Please... I don't really know why you're doing this, but I can tell you're not a good man, especially for someone as kind as Lady Jenna. She's a very good woman; don't hurt her."

Rhane tilted his head but didn't turn. He could see Jenna's naked silhouette from where he stood.

"I can't promise that, because my little firefly is already burning for me," he sucked his teeth. When he turned, he grinned.

"And not good men bring heaven to good women." His eyes glistened with some madness Percy didn't understand.

"Now, Percy, close your eyes, hands on your ears. Count to a hundred before leaving. Won't repeat myself."

"One," Percy closed his eyes shut and began counting.

Rhane ran back to the room he'd just left, this time through the window. He knocked twice and Jenna opened the curtain.

"Rhane? I was worried about you. What are you doing there?" Jenna leaned over, her wet hair falling over her waist, and her plump lips succulent and ripe. Jenna's cleavage was exposed with the dress she was putting on, but she failed to notice.

Rhane's eyes locked with her bosom, and his smile widened. Just from looking at her, he could tell where her hands had dipped into while he was away. "I'll be waiting for when Master lets me in," he paused,

"Patiently." He completed.

Jenna furrowed her brows, "Huh?" She blinked cluelessly.

"Have a goodnight's rest, Master," Rhane smiled with a bow, quietly turning to leave her. He wanted to see her face once more before sleeping, and if he dared go into the room with her, he wouldn't be able to control himself, and his whole plan would be destroyed.
