Chapter 313 - Chapter 312: Uzume

"Exactly, exactly! You girls have seen all of me already—I'm taking a loss here," Goku quipped from the tub, roving, wicked eyes drifting over Matsu from head to toe.

The women all shot him impressively synchronized eye-rolls.

"What a pity…" Mitsuha sighed, reluctantly coiling up her whip. She'd planned to give Matsu a thorough lashing, but since the intruder turned out to be a tenant as well, it felt wrong to go too far.

"Hello again—proper introductions this time."

Now back in a lab coat in the main hall, Matsu bowed contritely to the group. "I'm Matsu. Sorry for all the trouble."

"But if she lives in Room 201," Mitsuha asked Miya, puzzled, "how come I've never seen her?"

"201 is the room at the very end of the downstairs corridor," Asama Miya replied with a pleasant smile. "You can see it clearly from outside."

"Eh? That room? But where's the door?" Kunō blinked. "I don't remember seeing one."

"It's on the second floor side," Miya said. "Matsu, would you show them?"

"Of course. This way, please."

At the end of the corridor, Matsu pressed lightly against a stretch of wall. The wall rotated with a soft whir, revealing a hidden doorway.

"A s-secret door?!" Hikari and Hibiki squeaked together.

"Yes. I've been hiding out here," Matsu said, face in her hands, tongue peeking out in embarrassment. "Because, um… after I left MBI—well, for various reasons… let's just say I was being pursued."

"Pursued? By MBI? So you hid yourself in a secret room?" Mitsuha stared.

"Hiding, yes," Miya said gently. "My late husband welcomed all comers, so he half-jokingly built this concealed entrance. He used to work in an MBI lab, which is how he met Matsu. Thank you for keeping her secret, Goku-san. I didn't expect things to get so lively."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Please forgive me, Miya!" Matsu pressed her palms together, tears welling, the very picture of pitiful.

"Really?" Miya's smile didn't change, but her eyes were unconvinced.

"R-really! I won't do it again!" Matsu bowed over and over.

"Even so, there's one thing I must do," Matsu said, cheeks flushing as she stepped in front of Goku. Her breath quickened; she clasped both hands over her racing heart, eyes going dreamy. "This heartbeat—I can't bear it. Even if I get thrown out, I have to—"

She rose on tiptoe, dove into his arms, and kissed him.

The Sekirei crest at her nape blazed to life. White radiance burst forth; wings of light spread like a shower of luminous petals—so beautiful, so dreamlike.

"She's winged… She's Goku's Sekirei too?" Hikari and Hibiki gasped.

"Even Matsu…" Miya murmured, surprise flickering in her eyes. "That makes six." Yet as the glow washed over them, the steady thud-thud in her own chest sped up, leaving her faintly rattled.

'So even I resonate with him… This feeling—unprecedented. Goku… just what are you?'

When the light finally faded, Matsu clung to Goku, loath to let go. To a Sekirei, his aura was lethally attractive—especially for those he'd winged. His presence made them feel safe and warm in a way nothing else could.

Arms full of a voluptuous genius, Goku felt an entirely undignified surge of satisfaction. He hadn't expected a first-rate beauty to fling herself into his embrace. A bold, mature woman like this… the possibilities were endless.

"Fufu. Goku, I'll leave my door open tonight," Matsu breathed against his ear, voice like warm silk.

With clear reluctance, she finally stepped away, half her body lingering in the secret doorway. "See you," she said, and eased the panel closed.

"So why does MBI want her?" Mitsuha asked, glancing to Miya. "What did she do?"

"That's something you're better off not knowing," Miya replied with a small smile. She turned, took a few steps, then looked back at Goku. "And Goku—Izumo Inn forbids improper relations between the sexes. If I catch you… I won't be lenient."

With that she tiptoed away to her room.

Goku watched her retreat and smirked. "My methods aren't so easy to guess." He slid an arm around Akitsu and Hikari and shepherded all five women into his room. The door shut; a barrier bloomed. Whatever battles raged within, no one outside would hear a thing.

MBI, Secret Research Facility

An austere woman with a sword split a steel door with a single stroke and strode inside.

A figure swaddled head to toe in bandages lay on a gurney—female, by the look of it.

"As I thought," the swordswoman murmured at the bedside, "only you are worthy to be my opponent."

Her blade flashed. The devices linking the bandaged woman to the machines fell away in neat, severed lines. With a casual haul, she slung the patient over her shoulder and walked out.

Goku stirred to consciousness, soothed by the soft fragrance and even softer curve in his arms. He opened his eyes—and found a flawless face filling his vision.

"Good morning, Goku," Matsu cooed, kneeling over him, voice dripping with temptation. "Now… a good-morning kiss."

She leaned down; light flared; wings of radiance bloomed—turning the early hour into something out of a dream.

Late that night, Matsu had slipped into his room, intent on a stealthy "night raid," only to stumble upon a scene that left her shocked—after which Goku simply pulled her into the fray without ceremony.

"Hmph! Trying to sneak a morning kiss? That's cheating, Matsu," came the chorus of indignant voices as the others woke. One by one they pounced on Goku, each demanding her own good-morning kiss.

"All right, up you get," Goku said at last, though he sounded reluctant. "If Miya catches us, we're in trouble." His barrier only muffled sound—it wasn't invisibility.

"Miya!" Matsu squeaked, scrambling into her clothes with frantic haste—a sight that, at this hour, was not without aesthetic value.

Miya frightened Matsu more than anyone. Akitsu and the rest were calmer, helping Goku dress first before tidying themselves.

When they stepped outside, Miya was already in the courtyard, working through sword drills with focused intensity.

"Yo, Miya. Up early," Goku called lightly. "Do you train every day? No wonder your swordplay's so sharp."

"In front of you, I dare not claim 'sharp,'" Miya answered, shaking her head. "I've been wondering—are you truly human?"

"If not human, then what—an alien?" Goku chuckled.

"Excuse me… are there rooms for rent here?"

A bright, lively girl stepped through the gate.

"Another one… with a very generous chest," someone muttered.

"Welcome," Miya said, smiling. "A new guest? You're most welcome here."

"Really? That's great! I'm Uzume. Please take care of me." She bowed, then flushed, nerves tangling her tongue. "Um… I'm short on money right now. Could I… maybe delay the rent for a month? I'll find work and pay you back, I promise."

"I see," Miya replied, still smiling.

"So… that's a no?" Uzume's shoulders fell.

"It's fine," Miya said at once.

"R-really?!" Uzume's eyes shone.

"Yes. My husband was a soft-hearted man. When people are in trouble, we help them," Miya said warmly.

"Thank you! Thank you so much! I'll pay you back double when I find a job!"

Miya led her inside. "This is Room 203—yours from today. Here's the key. Keep it safe."

Uzume accepted it with both hands, overwhelmed. She'd been turned away again and again elsewhere. Miya was the first landlord to meet her with kindness. A true good person—how could Uzume not be grateful?

"The room next door is already rented to this gentleman," Miya added, nodding to Goku.

Just then, Homura (Kagari) stepped out of his room, glanced at Uzume, and looked to Miya. "And she is…?"
