"I didn't expect the gap between us to be this huge… We need to retreat first!"
Goku grabbed Beerus and Whis—one under each arm—and tore through the air. Both were indispensable fighters; he had no intention of leaving them behind.
"I'm sorry. If I hadn't struck first, things might not have turned out like this…"
Beerus sounded like a child who'd been caught misbehaving, head lowered in apology.
His temperament swung from violent to boyishly naive—it was hard to keep up.
"Forget it. With a personality like his, he's not much different from you. If you hadn't attacked, he would have sooner or later."
Whoosh—
As Goku spoke, a shadow flashed in front of him. The sky-piercing Undying Being stepped into their path in an instant, his thunderous voice making space itself hum. "Goku, why the rush? You helped free me, after all. Don't worry—I won't kill you."
"If you won't kill us, then let us go. You're unsealed and free now," Goku said, face tight. The pressure radiating from the giant was suffocating.
"Of course… but I see potential in you. Become my slave."
His tone was mild, as if serving him were some great honor.
Goku's face went cold. "Oh, spare me. Think you're the boss just because you're strong? You want me as a slave? Please. You're not even fit to carry my shoes."
"What did you say?"
The Undying Being's fury surged; demonic qi speared the void.
A thunderous boom shook the universe. Stars and planets turned upside down as chaos roiled.
His moods were as fickle as lightning—rage followed pride in a heartbeat.
Beerus and Whis, still tucked under Goku's arms, froze. Beerus yelped, "Goku, and you call me impulsive? You're no better!"
"Screw it. He's pushing his luck. Since we can't run, we fight—together!"
Goku had seen enough. This monster had been toying with them like mice from the start. With the space around them sealed, there was nowhere to flee. He formed a seal; divine light fell over Beerus and Whis, and their wounds began to knit visibly.
"Didn't know you could heal like that. Why didn't you do it earlier?"
Beerus flexed his arms, eyes lighting up as he stared at the Undying Being. "Sure, we're outmatched—but this is the kind of opponent I've been looking for." His aura surged, battle spirit blazing. Faced with such a foe, he showed not a trace of fear.
"Looks like we have no choice," Whis sighed. Power rippled out from him, pressing on the void. Scarlet light lanced upward, making the sealed space groan.
"You still intend to resist me? You clearly don't understand what I am," the titan said, amusement dripping into malice. "Very well—let your bodies learn my terror firsthand. Heh-heh… This realm will kneel in my hand. Heh-hahaha!"
His titanic palm swept down again, inscribed with shifting sigils that seemed to reverse void, dragging sun, moon, and stars—and all things—into the wheel of reincarnation.
That single strike carried annihilation itself—an aura of unquestionable supremacy.
Faces set, the three didn't dare hold back. Each drove his power to the absolute limit.
Their auras shot skyward, forming a triangle. As they pressed forward, the three streams of power resonated… then braided together, releasing an even more terrifying wave.
Their combined ki writhed like dragons, flashing crimson, sketching strange symbols in the air. The marks circled them like the cycles of heaven, the fall into the underworld, time's turning, and the changing of ages. For a heartbeat, it felt like they had stepped into endless reincarnation.
"What… is this?!"
The surprise flashed across their faces—then turned to joy. They didn't know how, but they could feel it clearly:
They could take this blow. That thing wasn't truly unbeatable.
They roared as one and unleashed everything. The three streams of ki intertwined, exploding into a beam that reeked of destruction—of death.
"Hm? Death's annihilating intent… with a trace of life's return through the wheel… Interesting."
The Undying Being's eyes glimmered, surprise flickering there—though the hunger to kill burned brighter. He seemed born for slaughter.
His sky-covering palm crashed down without mercy.
Their fused beam punched through the void, racing fearlessly to meet it.
The firmament split, the universe shook, and space fractured in layers that rippled outward as if to engulf the whole domain. It felt at once like creation and the end of all things.
The three strained with everything they had, muscles standing out like cables, holding that world-ending hand at bay. The sigils swirling across it pulsed with a strange, ruinous rhythm.
The feel of that palm was terrible—like a divine blade hanging over their heads. If it fell, there would be no return.
"Not bad," the titan's voice tolled like a great bell, drowning the void in solemn reverberations laced with ruin. "Mere first-step True Gods, and yet you caught a casual strike of mine. So my strength hasn't fully recovered, then?"
He paused, then sneered. "But a mouse is still a mouse. At best, a slightly bigger mouse."
Demonic power surged. With a bone-deep roar, the giant's palm flared, the pressure spiking to a heart-stopping peak—the very path of ultimate destruction.
The sky went dark. Demonic light stabbed upward. Sun and moon lost their glow. Stars tumbled like rain, smashing into distant worlds with endless thunder. Space collapsed. The universe sank toward its brink.
---
With a sharp crack, the fused beam shattered.
Shock and disbelief stampeded across the trio's faces. They had just begun to believe they could contend with him—yet his might was this overwhelming.
An ocean of killing pressure poured down, cloaking their crowns with a shadow of death that would not lift. Bones creaked under the squeeze, threatening to burst apart. It felt like the very universe would be crushed to powder.
"D-damn it… We still underestimated him…"
Goku's complexion changed drastically. He swore, ki surging into layered crimson barriers that formed around him to blunt the falling strike.
Beerus and Whis threw up their strongest defenses as well. The blow was too terrible; their life-threads were already locked, the space around them sealed. There was nowhere to run—only endure.
In their constricted pupils, the titan's palm finally came down—like a sky-spanning hand swatting three tiny flies.
A roar tore the void. Reality burst. The universe reeled, vomiting torrents of radiance as chaos flooded out of rifts like surging rivers. Cyclones of raw force raked across the firmament.
The colossal palm slammed into them. Their shields shattered in an instant, layer after layer, until the force struck flesh and bone. Blood erupted from their mouths as they were hurled away like falling stars, arcing across the void.
Space frayed faster than it could mend. The cosmos trembled. Worlds dropped and shattered—apocalyptic ruin as far as the eye could see.
The Undying Being stood alone beneath the void, demonic qi boiling. His presence filled the firmament, crushed the void, and only grew more oppressive—an unchallenged sovereign. With him there, there was only one word: invincible.
Amid the torn seams of space, Goku hung in a patch of nothingness. He was drenched in blood, cracks webbing his entire body. He looked one touch away from shattering, his aura faint to the point of vanishing.
"D-damn… I didn't think he'd be this horrifying…"
His breath was a thread. Vision blurred to gray. He couldn't move at all—if he did, his body would fracture like glass.
"Damn it… to be wrecked this badly…"
Goku cursed weakly in his heart, forcing himself to stay conscious, refusing to sink into the beckoning dark. He knew that if he slipped under now, he might never wake again.
