"So, what's your name, miss?" Sonny asked, his voice casual as he turned to her, his elbow resting lightly on the table, his cappuccino and brownie same as hers.
Aeri glanced at him, her lips curving into a small smile as she set her cup down. "It's Aeri," she said, her voice soft but warm. "And what's yours?"
"That's a beautiful name," Sonny said, his smile widening, his dark eyes catching the light. "Mine's Sonny."
"Yours is nice too. It's pretty unique," Aeri said, tilting her head as she sipped her coffee, the frothy warmth grounding her. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, her fingers lingering on the cup's handle.
Sonny raised an eyebrow, a playful confusion crossing his face.
"Is it?" he asked, his tone light as he leaned back, his hands wrapping around his own cup. "I never thought about it like that."
