Chapter 10 - The Room of Requirement

Chris first week was obviously nothing special. Although in the eyes of others, he was already a "legend," as a Superman-this was obviously not a real "achievement"!

Prefect Percy's first week was definitely not pleasant:

Before school even started, Gryffindor had forty-five points deducted. The next day, Chris miraculously made up forty points. On the third and fourth days. Chris magically earned more than a dozen points. not only making up for the deducted points but even having a slight surplus.

But by Friday, everything seemed to be back to square one. Percy really wanted to use an [Alohomora] to open Chris brain and see what was inside.

Friday night was quiet. Hermione was alone in the Gryffindor girls' common room studying. This week had been a nightmare for her. She had always been very confident in her learning ability until she met Chris how could a fragile human brain compare to Superman's steel body?

At this time, Chris quietly arrived on the fourth floor-a hellhound about ten meters long was snoring in its sleep. As soon as Chris wanted to approach it, the hellhound instantly opened its eyes.

"Woof" The hellhound was warning him.

Chris said softly, "Come on, let me tell you who's the boss here!"

Chris took off his wizard robe, revealing a red and blue Superman suit-the huge S letter was shining on his chest!

"Both my left and right hands can lift seventeen tons of things, which means my maximum lifting strength should be around thirty-four tons. So it looks like, hellhound, you should be much weaker than me!" Chris said to the hellhound.

The hellhound strained, rattling the chains, and instantly pounced towards Keli. Its six eyes, like six gas stoves, shone with red light.

Chris raised his fist and punched the hellhound's middle head, right on the bridge of its nose due to the height difference.

"Crack..." Chris heard the sound of the hellhound's nasal bone shattering.

The hellhound not only showed no fear but instead raised its other two heads and bit at Chris.

Its head was larger in diameter than Chris height. With its massive mouth, swallowing Chris whole wouldn't be a problem. A burst of attacks-Chris was captured by the head on the left. His hands and feet were supporting himself between the upper and lower jawbones.

The stench from the hellhound's mouth was simply earth-shattering....

After a few minutes of confrontation, the hellhound finally relaxed, or perhaps the pain in its nasal bone finally made it afraid.

The hellhound clearly showed a look of fear. It seemed that these low-level animals all followed one rule "bully the weak and fear the strong!"

If you are more powerful than it, it will quickly admit defeat. This behavior occurs in almost all vertebrates-invertebrates don't have enough nerve endings to support such complex neurological reactions; otherwise, Chris guessed they would be the same.

Chris jumped out of the hellhound's mouth, facing the hellhound and backing away: "Little doggy, I'll come see you again next time!"

The hellhound didn't move. The middle head had blood and tears flowing from its nose, emitting a whimper. The heads on both sides were also baring their teeth, wishing they could eat him on the spot.

Tonight's test was over. Keli roughly tested his thirty-four-ton lifting strength. His actual combat power was about one and one-fifth of a hellhound slightly stronger than a hellhound, but not to the point of "crushing."

Chris hadn't fought so happily in a long, long time. After the battle, he felt much happier.

"Next is to go to that room" Chris muttered to himself, then walked towards the location of the Room of Requirement.

Ghosts occasionally walked past on the walls, but as the floors increased, the number of ghosts decreased. Above the seventh floor, Keli didn't see any more ghosts.

"Hogwarts Castle, eighth floor" Chris searched: "I remember there seems to be a troll decoration Damn it! Merlin's beard! Why does Hogwarts, with less than a thousand people, have so many rooms?Such a big, big castle?"

Hogwarts is very large, with a total area equivalent to two or three football fields, and an average height of more than five floors. This resulted in Hogwarts having huge rooms and a large number of them...

According to Chris estimation, it could at least accommodate five thousand people without any pressure! This is equivalent to the sum of all wizards in the entire British magical world! if it were squeezed a little more, it could even raise all the scaled house-elves and magical creatures within the UK.

Because it was too big, this is also why there were so many "secret passages." In fact, those so-called secret passages were created by previous wizards for some purpose, perhaps for convenience in attending classes, or perhaps to find a place to rest, and then they privately opened up a "small road" with magic.

Keli spent more than ten minutes finally finding the entrance to the Room of Requirement in a corridor on the eighth floor.

He found the tapestry on the wall "Barnabas the Barmy is trying to teach trolls ballet," to be honest, this tapestry was really abstract

Chris silently recited in his heart: "I need a spell laboratory! I need a spell laboratory! I need a spell laboratory!"

As he recited, his body wandered in the corridor. When he walked for the third time, a door suddenly appeared on the wall.

The door appeared so suddenly that Chris almost dropped the wand in his hand.

Chris opened the door and walked in. The scene inside was astonishing.

A room the size of a basketball court was filled with countless faceless dummies. The bodies of these dummies were lifelike, giving him a creepy sense of horror.

The dummies here did come in all sizes, from tall to short, and some were even spinning in the air... If Keli could cast spells, this would indeed be an excellent "spell laboratory," but unfortunately, the laboratory Chris wanted was not like this

Chris twisted his lips. It seemed that the Room of Requirement was not as omnipotent as written in the original book. At best, it was just an [Artificial Intelligence), like Xiao Ai.

Chris walked out of the room and once again silently recited: "I need a place to learn spells, with books, a place, and preferably a teacher!"

After three times like this, the door appeared again.

[Hopefully, this time it can meet my needs!) Chris opened the door and walked in.

After Chris entered the Room of Requirement, he was taken aback. The Room of Requirement at this moment was exactly the same as their Charms classroom! There was even an elderly gnome standing on the platform, Professor Flitwick.

But upon closer inspection it was just a dummy! A dummy carved from wood and painted. It was so lifelike that you couldn't even tell it was a dummy unless you looked closely.

Such a place might be a good place to study, but it wasn't what Chris wanted it seemed the Room of Requirement did have its limitations.

Chris walked out of the room, lowering his expectations of the Room of Requirement.

[I need a room to test my strength! I need a room to test my strength] Chris opened the door for the third time tonight.

Chris walked into the room, which contained a huge machine. The structure of the machine was similar to a forging machine, with a large iron hammer on top. The cylindrical hammer head was about two meters in diameter, with two hallaw hales on it. Below was something resembling an anvil, also with two round holes. Four huge hydraulic columns, movable up and down, supported the hammer around it. Next to the left column was a small blackboard with a few words written on it in charcoal.

[Left Hand], [Right Hand], [Waist], [Left Leg]. [Right Leg]

To the left of the blackboard was a lever. Chris examined the structure of the device. The two holes in the ground were for fixing the feet, and the ones on top were for fixing the hands. The lever next to the blackboard was for starting the device.

Chris gently placed his hands and feet into the four holes. This magical dynamometer, the upper half could automatically move according to height! Amazing!

But standing in the middle of the dynamometer-at this moment, he was embarrassed who would start the machine?

Chris thought carefully for a moment, and with a flash of inspiration, modified his belt-tying one end to the lever and biting the other end in his mouth.

After fixing his limbs, Chris moved his head vigorously. Under the pull of the belt, the lever was pulled.

The writing on the blackboard changed instantly!

[Please try to lift the boulder above your head!] Chris immediately exerted force, trying to lift the boulder, but the boulder, which could move freely with his hands just now, instantly turned into real stone!

Chris tried his best, but the boulder didn't budgel

[Stop!] The letters on the blackboard changed again.

[Please try to pull down the boulder above your head!]-awkward-still didn't budge.

Just as Chris was wondering, the words on the blackboard changed again:

[Left Hand: 39242 lbs]

[Right Hand: 40027 lbs]

[Waist: 90389 lbs]

[Left Leg: 67856 lbs]

[Right Leg: 67777 lbs]

Chris carefully converted the numbers in his mind. Forty thousand pounds is about eighteen tons. which is higher than the data measured by the truck during the summer vacation. The Superman bloodline really does get stronger automatically with age.

Originally, Chris was planning to do some things with the Room of Requirement, but from the looks of it now, there was no need. The Room of Requirement's ability could only be used in the simplest way -no wonder the previous students only used it as a place to hide things. It really could only be used to hide things and do some magical experiments here.

Thinking of this, Chris suddenly thought of Ravenclaw's Diadem-Voldemort's soul was inside. Should he go and tease it?

Walking out the door, "I need a place to hide things I need a place to hide things I need a place to hide things"

Chris entered the Room of Requirement again.

This time, the Room of Requirement that Chris entered was the real [Room of Requirement). Chris saw a huge warehouse inside, with rows of shelves and cabinets neatly arranged.

It was a mess in here, with everything imaginable. After searching for a while, Chris saw a diadem wrapped in black cloth on a very inconspicuous bookshelf with a huge sapphire on top, and below it, a line of golden writing: Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure!

Chris almost immediately confirmed this must be Voldemort's third Horcrux, Ravenclaw's Diadem. This diadem was the first Horcrux Voldemort made after he came of age, different from the Diary Horcrux and the Ring, and also different from the later, more fragmented results. The soul within the diadem was the first Voldemort with complete magical knowledge, and he even had a lot of practice. As his first real Horcrux after adulthood, its value was even greater than the Voldemort on the back of Quirrell's head.

Of course, the value here isn't the value of selling it but [possesses research value!]

Chris picked up the diadem wrapped in black cloth and quietly sneaked back to the dormitory. When entering the dormitory, the Fat Lady at the door was still babbling, saying things like you shouldn't violate curfew, why do you all violate curfew, and so on.

Chris ignored her and returned to the dormitory with the diadem.

================================

Almost at the same time that Chris returned to the dormitory. Dumbledore's figure appeared next to Fluffy, Hagrid and Snape were standing beside him.

"Fluffy was injured, not seriously! His nasal bone was broken by someone. I'll go find some medicine, and he'll be healed soon, but what's strange is that he doesn't have any more injuries on his body." Hagrid explained after checking the injuries.

"There is no smell of any potion." Snape searched around with his wand, "Even the air is clean. The person who came deliberately treated their body. They put some special-smelling things on their body. to cover up their own smell."

"There are no traces of magic here either." Dumbledore frowned. This was different from what he had expected.

"Did a giant come?" Snape also asked in confusion,

"A giant or a troll could have caused such injuries, but what's strange is that there are no other marks on Fluffy's body. There are no obvious footprints on the ground either..." Hagrid explained. "Whether it's a giant or a troll, they wouldn't have this kind of patience when attacking. According to their attack methods, Fluffy should be almost dying or covered in injuries by now."

What exactly happened here?-This was the doubt of the three people.

Hogwarts was still very peaceful tonight. Chris didn't think about chatting with Voldemort now. He put the diadem in the closet and went to sleep.

The next day, at the time agreed with Hermione the day before, Chris and Hermione went to the library together Hermione was there to study hard, while Chris was there to find a way to find the reason why he couldn't release magic.
