Zane and his team stood still, eyes fixed on the torrent of beasts pouring from the shimmering gateway.
The sheer number was overwhelming—wave after wave of corrupted creatures, some common in form, others grotesquely mutated, their twisted bodies almost alien.
And then they appeared.
At the tail of the horde, six towering figures emerged, their presence crushing the air around them. As they stepped free of the wall, the glowing barrier snapped back into cold, solid metal.
"Whoa… all six of those are two-star beasts," Har blurted, his voice almost a squeak.
"So we just have to kill one to get inside?" Asphalt asked, his body already radiating fighting intent.
"Calm down," Zane said evenly. "We deal with the horde first."
