As it's clear that's it for the story because it doesn't have any fans, the most sees it says meh, it has a something but not my type.
And the blame for this is my info dumping and my amateur writing skills.
To fix this I will temporarily delete the story after copying it on another place and I will repost it at February after I fix both the visible mistakes and the not noticeable but making effect then make the story more engaging.
What will also change:
1_ the word count, most of the chapter are either 2k or little above until 5k and there are long chapters like the ones from 8k to 14k chapters to fix this I will mix some of the small chapters that serve the same purpose. (Like the early three after prologue).
2_ the chapters quantity. Unfortunately even with the slow burn stories comparison my story is unnecessary long. So many scene is unnecessary and for the better must be deleted. (A great example is the last joke about Paul treating Rudi like Zenith.)
3_ the info dumping.
This problem is my second biggest problem after my weak language problem. To solve this I decided to set the info into three categories:
A_ good and useful but must be toned down.
B_ good and useful but can't be used here. (It will be put on the next volumes but toned down and in a good way).
C_ good and all but unfortunately must be deleted and make the story explain it.
4_ language problem.
This one can be counted as my biggest problem. I plan to fix it by using someone as proof reader and beta reader (and already done this), will use Grammarly and other tools before sending them to grammar proofing and improving wording.
Finally I already has AI tool to review ideas and any idea that got less than 8,5 will be deleted. (The scene that got lower than that was the still born daughter of Andrew being dissected and Rudeus commenting about there was no reason to death, even with the explanation about Laplace factor and saying this Rudeus isn't a kind hearted one he still refused it.) In the end it got 6,8 rate which will be the reason it and others will be either edited or deleted entirely.
5_ scene I mentioned AI I should mention that I started to use some AI tools for drawing too and will attach some photos to some scenery too.
6_ finally I will add surveys with the end of each chapter to make everyone engage with the story to choices sinces I decided to make everyone like it. And one from it, I want to know what everyone opinion about using everyone face gesture as emoji to be seen not explained.
What won't change in the story:
1_ Rudeus being ruthless with anyone other with anyone other than his family but later it will change to the people he care about until he got his redemption like canon Rudeus.
2_ Sam being a family, I grow attached to the little girl and for better or worse I add her in all the future drafts so f*** it she became a family and not allowed to leave.
3_ Paul getting redeemed the hard way, as you can see he is a sub-hero in the story, and unlike the canon the family in here all effective and influencing the story. Not only Rudeus and his wives.
4_ the gore theme the story unfortunately isn't for everyone and I plan to keep it this way, there well be a slice of life and enjoyable chapters but the main theme isn't for preteens and younger readers.
5_ the magic system and swordsmanship, I won't create a fanfic where we have our unbeatable, stronger than all mc, no this mc with the right conditions can lose easily to the original mc.
6_ family warmth in chapters because this will be one of the main themes so if anyone who hates speed and furious for Van Diesel every three seconds saying family then this isn't your story.
Kidding I myself have a problem with this but this story will 1% of what Van Diesel is doing.
7_ Aisha crisis will happen because its canon and something can't be changed so Rudeus will have a twin sister even if someone interfered because the fate protects her.
The name for the new story is Mushoku Tensei 『The Failed Reincarnation』
Also I recently started to writing drafts of my own original story it will be post in 2027 if all goes right and up until now I don't find myself copying anyone in the ideas in It.
So see you again in the revamped fanfic and this story will be deleted at 21st of January.
