Chapter 4 - Ch. 3 Arrival to the Dungeon City and The God under the Guild

"DAD, DAD!! I can see Orario from here!" said the excited Heath.

"You're not lying Sir that is indeed a huge tower, and monsters thrive inside it as the adventurers' source of income," Kagami said with a surprised expression on his face.

"Yes indeed, you might've encountered those hordes of Goblins and Kobolds from before which are weaker than their counterparts inside the dungeon," Mr. Pachebell said.

"So they're using the dungeon as some sort of singularity since it's commercially advertised as such... Interesting" Kagami said as he has seen his fair share of the other Wings singularity.

"We'll stay at a nearby inn with my family you can come with us if you want to" Mr. Pachebell offered.

"I have already planned to lie low for a while to not attract unwanted attention Sir so don't worry," Kagami said with an assured expression.

"Are there any documents needed for entry into the city and are there taboos that I need to be aware of?" Kagami asked.

"I don't know about taboos but I think you just need to behave like a regular person, as per entry I can just write you a recommendation for the process" replied Mr. Pachebell.

"Alright, then I do hope that nothing goes wrong in the immigration process," Kagami said.

Moments later they moved onto the entrance gate of Orario and made their way onto the line...

"Reasons for vis- Oh it's you Mr. Pachebell," the Guard asked but recognized the Merchant.

"I'm here to sell my wares and stay here for a short vacation with my family," said Mr. Pachebell to the Guard.

"A new face huh, is that young man part of your family Mr. Pachebel,l" the Guard asked.

"Technically no but I trust the young man" Mr. Pachebell replied.

"Alright just head over here and we'll just list down your information before letting you in" said the Guard to Kagami. "I understand" Kagami replied.

"Your name, age, and address lad" the Guard asked Kagami.

"Yotsuyu Kagami, 18 Years Old, and currently a wanderer" he answers with utmost professionalism.

"A Far Eastern Name and an adult, but are you lying lad? With a fancy-looking suit like that no way you're a wanderer" the Guard questioned.

"No Sir, since there is seemingly no way for me to return to my home I have pretty much concluded myself as a wanderer now" Kagami answers once more.

"Alright lad, since Mr. Pachebell is a trusted merchant here and gave us a recommendation you're pretty much clear now," the Guard said as he handed over Kagami's ID and certifications.

"Well, isn't that quick" Kagami thought to himself.

"Young Man was there any trouble with the registration" Mr. Pachebell said after meeting Kagami inside Orario.

"Nothing really, everything went smoothly with the help of your recommendation," Kagami said.

"I guess I'll start figuring things out from here then Sir" Kagami bowed slightly as a sign of appreciation for the help he got from Mr. Pachebell.

"Alright, Young Man just go to this place if you ever need help with anything okay," Mr. Pachebell said.

"I'll keep that in mind Sir" Kagami politely replied as he received the address of Mr. Pachebell's abode in Orario.

There under the Guild lies a room of which a certain God sensed an anomaly in the City. His name was Ouranos. He was one of the first Gods to descend into the mortal plane and the first one to give mortals divine blessings or Falna. He carries the weight of overseeing the state of Orario as he holds back the dungeon from letting loose the monsters inside it to the surface. He called out to his aide to follow and observe the young man.

"Fels, I want you to follow this young man and determine whether he is a threat or not," Ouranos said while showing the young man's view with the Occulus to his aide. "As you wish Lord Ouranos" Fels replied to their God before disappearing.

The scene shifts to Kagami taking a look around Orario noticing glances from others due to his clothing and scarred yet handsome face but he ignores it. "Hmmm... This must be the place on the map I guess" Kagami said while looking at the map.

He soon stumbles upon the large building called Pantheon managed by the Guild and as he enters the building eyes are soon set upon his rich-looking attire and face. He shrugged off the gaze given to him by the adventurers and guild staff alike.

"If I'm not wrong this is the Guild right?" Kagami then asked the female red-haired werewolf receptionist.

"Yes Mister, what is your business here?" asked the female receptionist.

"I was thinking of applying for a desk job here, Are there any positions open or requirements," said Kagami.

Before the female receptionist can respond she was called out by her superior gesturing that they'll take things from there. Then after that, a Fat Elf with a somewhat arrogant look came out as he called out to Kagami.

"Young Man, my name is Royman Mardeel the head of the Guild," said the Fat Elf.

"Yes Mr. Mardeel, I've heard a lot about you from Mr. Pachebell so I know most of how the guild works" replied Kagami turning on his most professional tone.

"I see then I'll get to the point, Lord Ouranos wants to meet with you so if you could please follow me down the guild then," Royman said with an annoyed look.

"I guess he is already aware of my existence then, it must be the reason why someone was following me earlier," Kagami said while looking outside.

After their short conversation concluded Royman guides Kagami to the entrance to Guild's basement where he meets the God that oversees the entirety of Orario.

"Child, I will keep this conversation short," said the God sitting on the Chair under the Guild

"Are you a threat to this City or not?" asked the God while releasing a great deal of divine pressure.

"As of now No, but depending on how this City treats me I could be one," said Kagami with a sharp glare while gripping his Umbrella realizing the pressure that made him tremble.

"Alright Child, I will keep that in mind," said Ouranos lightly while turning off his pressure which the whole guild felt at the moment.

"I guess that was too much of me as well then Lord Ouranos" Kagami replied politely as he returned to his relaxed state.

"Well, then Child it seems that you have prior knowledge of how this city and its residents work, how did you end up in this world then?" Ouranos asked the young man.

"World? I thought this was a possibility beyond the outskirts. Well seeing as the terms I am unfamiliar with then it's entirely possible" Kagami was shocked as he heard from the god.

"Alright then Lord Ouranos, If you'd allow it then could I tell you the events that transpired before I found myself in this world" Kagami then spoke to the god.

Kagami then went on and told the previous events before ending up in this strange new world. He even tells Ouranos how his old place works and how a mortal like him grew strong even without the existence of Gods in his City.

"So Child, are you still planning on returning to your previous world though it's highly unlikely" asked Ouranos to the young man.

"Seeing as there are no remnants of the items that took me here which were probably absorbed up by the violet portal sphere before turning into the golden variant and I doubt that the technology is advanced enough to allow on travel from world to world, I can conclude that I'll be staying here in foreseeable future then" Kagami replied to the curious God.

"Well then child what are your plans going forward?" Ouranos asked the young man.

"I have given some thought already and I think I'll be trying to take a slower approach this time" Kagami answered the God.

"Oh, what kind of approach then, Is it related to why you are applying for a desk job here at the guild? " asked Ouranos curiously.

"Something like that I guess, I wouldn't want to attract some unwanted attraction but after you called for me it seemed that I had done so already" replied Kagami sighing.

"Hahaha, well child forgive me for calling you out" the ever so stoic Ouranos lightly chuckled.

"It's fine Lord Ouranos, and also is there any job available at the guild at the moment? I am pretty confident in my skills at paperwork and other related " replied Kagami to God.

"You'll have to ask Royman about that although that elf has his shortcomings I can assure you that he is competent at his work," Ouranos said to the young man.

"Child, since a trusted Merchant recommended you, I have concluded that you're pretty trustworthy. So, I'll put in a good word for you to smooth out the process." Ouranos followed up on his answer.

"I understand then, Thank you, Lord Ouranos," said politely by Kagami to the God.

"Also can I get set a few clauses on my terms if I get hired, I wouldn't want to be overworked like my past experiences at my world then" Kagami sighed as he followed up with the suggestion to the God.

"I'll relay this Royman so don't worry child, you are free to leave now" Ouranos replied to the young man.

"Also Lord Ouranos... I can still sense your assistant or some sort observing me even at this moment" Kagami said to the God.

"What an impressive child to think that you could sense Fels even with their concealed presence. You could make a fine adventurer if you manage to find a Familia yourself," Ouranos replied to the young man.

"Then again that would mean too much for work and will defeat the purpose of your stay here" Ouranos followed his response.

"That is indeed right Lord Ouranos" Kagami said.

"Well then I guess that concludes our not-so-short conversation child, you are free to leave then," Ouranos said the young man

"Thank you Lord Ouranos, I shall take my leave then," Kagami said as he bowed slightly before turning towards the door.

...

"Although I've seen my fair share of humans, that child's demeanor and conduct have been tempered by an unforgiving world," said Ouranos to his aide

"Is that so Lord Ouranos, then do you want me to continue keeping watch of him?" said Fels to their God

"No that is enough, let the child be for now. I sensed in his words that he would stay true to it" Ouranos answered his aide's question.

"I hope that the child can find his peace in this second chance that he has been given, although in this city it might be hard for the child," Ouranos muttered to himself before sending his aide away.

After their conversation, Kagami heads out of the basement to the Guild's office upstairs, where he meets Royman and a few guild staff. Seeing as he was being stared at by the other adventurers as well he purposely strikes up a conversation with Royman about his employment in the guild which removed most of the adventurers' attention on him. Soon after the events at the guild, he heads over to a nearby Inn recommended by Mr. Pachebell to rest.
