The thoughts began streaming through her head. What the hell was going on?
How the hell did this night go from her sulking about going to her father's anniversary alone to now having Nikolas Darkos placing a diamond necklace on her neck right after the long, deep kiss he had given her, and him telling her how he had missed her?
Before she could settle on these thoughts, she felt Nikolas' hot breath on her skin, sending waves of shivers down her spine as he planted a soft kiss on her neck, then another, trailing hot kisses down until he reached her shoulders.
