"Did you come to the park with your guardian?" Nikolas said as he turned to look around for signs of the boy's parents.
As much as he was happy to see Cyrus, he also didn't think it was right to keep meeting up with his kid without officially meeting the kid's parents.
He knew that if he were a parent, too, he would want to know every one of his kid's friends, especially one who was as mature as he was.
"Over there with her boyfriend," Cyrus said, pointing over to Cassie, who had left him to play by himself to give her and her boyfriend some privacy.
Nikolas followed the kid's finger as it pointed toward the lady he had seen with the kid the last time they met at the park.
But this time, she was with a dude, and they looked really engrossed in their own company.
Although Nikolas didn't think it was ideal for her not to keep a closer eye on her child, he was still glad that he could spend time with Cyrus.
