Chapter 216 - Chapter 216: New Clone

The Kingdom of Fire was destroyed.

The Daimyo of the Fire Country, along with numerous nobles, had been captured.

Thousands of Guardian Ninja troops were completely wiped out.

Konoha officially announced its takeover of all governmental affairs of the Fire Country—and established Konoha as the new capital.

The old one-village-one-country system was gone. From now on, Konoha would govern everything in the Land of Fire.

This earth-shattering news spread across the entire ninja world like a terrifying tsunami.

It wasn't just the major countries that were thrown into chaos—even the traditionally neutral Land of Iron expressed deep shock.

At that moment, an emergency summit was being held by the two Kage and the four daimyos from the Land of Earth and the Land of Wind.

"Hanyu Simu… you finally couldn't hold back anymore?"

Ōnoki clenched his fists, his aged face twisted with anger.

Kazekage Rasa was relatively calm. He turned toward Fourth Raikage Ai, who had come to the meeting in place of his father.

"What I want to know is—where has the Third Raikage gone?"

Ōnoki's eyes narrowed. He also sensed something was off. He stared at the young man in front of him with suspicion.

Ai's face darkened.

"My father... is missing."

"What?! Missing?!"

Ōnoki shot up in surprise.

After all, the mission Third Raikage had taken on was to prevent the Revolutionary Army from capturing "Sector 157" and destroying the Daimyo Palace.

Now that the palace was gone, and the Third Raikage hadn't returned—there was only one conclusion.

"How could this happen...?"

Rasa fell deep into thought.

"When the Revolutionary Army launched their strike on the Daimyo's Palace in the Land of Fire, the military forces of all four nations were deployed to the Fire Country's borders.

"Jiraiya and Tsunade—two of the Konoha Sannin—also appeared on the battlefield. They fought our forces personally.

"Hanyu Simu and Namikaze Minato were also present. Their identities were confirmed—it was definitely the real them.

"With these four involved, is there anyone else in Konoha who could possibly defeat the Third Raikage in battle?"

Although their past relationship with the Raikage hadn't always been smooth, both Ōnoki and Rasa had to admit—the Third Raikage was an absolute monster.

He stood at the top even among the strongest in the entire ninja world.

And now… he was gone?

Ai clenched his fists tighter. His Chakra leaked out unconsciously in anger.

Electric arcs crackled wildly around his body.

Sensing his fury, the blonde secretary standing beside him stepped forward and said carefully:

"Everyone… the one who defeated Lord Third Raikage claimed to be—"

"Uchiha Madara."

"Uchiha Madara?!"

Ōnoki nearly jumped from his seat.

"Impossible! That's someone from the previous era!"

Among everyone present, Ōnoki had the clearest memory of Uchiha Madara.

After all, he had once seen the legendary figure with his own eyes.

Although the result of their encounter was being slammed into the ground and nearly beaten to death, it left a lasting impression.

He understood very well how terrifying Madara truly was.

If Madara had survived—and was now fighting for Konoha—then the First and Second Ninja World Wars might never have happened.

"We… we don't know the details."

The secretary's voice lowered.

A trace of sorrow flickered in his eyes.

Although the Third Raikage had a fiery temper, he had always treated his subordinates well.

He had been one of the most outstanding leaders in the history of the Cloud Shinobi Village.

Now he was simply… gone.

The meeting room fell into heavy silence.

It was too outrageous to be true.

Konoha had already been overpowering enough on its own.

Now they had another mysterious powerhouse—one capable of killing the Third Raikage in single combat?

Both Kage were left speechless.

As for the four Daimyos?

They didn't dare say a word.

As ordinary civilians, if they were dragged into this war…

They would die without even leaving corpses behind.

"At this point, we have no choice but to truly unite."

Rasa spoke seriously.

This time, no one objected.

If they continued shouting slogans like before, they'd never stop Konoha's army.

"Mobilize the troops immediately. We attack Konoha."

Ai said coldly.

Ōnoki and Rasa froze, their expressions turning grim.

"Ai, calm down. We understand your anger, but preparing for war takes time.

Food must be mobilized, weapons delivered—everything takes time."

"Then hurry up!"

Ai looked up, his eyes bloodshot with fury.

He had to destroy Konoha with his own hands.

While the coalition forces prepared for their final offensive, Simu, now the Hokage, had already returned to Konoha.

After more than a year of development, Konoha no longer looked like a village.

Traditional homes had been replaced by towering residential buildings.

Factories had sprouted in the industrial zones, running 24/7, producing weapons for war without pause.

Refugees and civilians from the former capital of the Land of Fire had been relocated into these new housing blocks.

They were now managed by the Konoha Guard and reassigned to factory work—contributing to the rise of a new Fire Nation.

Konoha had completely transformed.

To acquire more labor, large groups of people were relocated into Konoha daily.

Captured nobles and prisoners of war were sent to construction sites.

Thanks to their hard work, the first railway of the Fire Nation was nearly ready for launch.

"This village really changes every day."

Standing on a rooftop, Jiraiya sighed as he looked at the ever-changing Konoha.

Beside him stood Tsunade.

"All of this is thanks to your good student," she said, her tone complicated.

Her feelings toward Simu were tangled.

She loved that he was strong—and that he had truly improved the lives of Konoha's people.

No one in Konoha went hungry anymore.

With the help of scientific ninja tools, farmland output had skyrocketed. In just a year, Konoha had gone from importing grain to exporting it.

They had clean water, modern power infrastructure, and medical supplies developed from natural energy.

He'd also expanded the ninja academy—not only for those with chakra talent.

Even civilians could attend schools to learn science, warfare, medicine, and more.

These sweeping changes had all occurred in the single year since Simu took power.

But...

She also hated that Simu had killed one of their own comrades—and dragged Konoha to the brink of war.

"If we lose," she murmured, "Konoha—everything we've built—might vanish in an instant."

Though Konoha's strength had skyrocketed, becoming the ninja world's first fully industrialized nation, now they faced not just one enemy…

But three great nations, united.

Plus the residual forces of the Daimyo's Mansion in the Land of Water.

In essence, three and a half superpowers had joined forces to crush Konoha.

Jiraiya wasn't too bothered.

"Relax. It's not like Konoha's never been through this before. First Great Ninja War, Second Great Ninja War—what great power haven't we fought?"

Tsunade took a sip from her bottle.

"It's different now. Those nations used to fight separately. Now they've formed a real alliance—and they're out for blood."

Jiraiya, slightly drunk, waved a hand dismissively.

"Don't worry. Simu will take care of it."

"And he's right—we can't let those nobles keep ruling from above. We need to create a world where everyone can eat."

A fire flickered in Jiraiya's eyes.

If everyone could eat—would wars even exist?

"Tsunade, I'm back."

A gentle voice called out.

Jiraiya's face darkened. That guy again...

Sure enough, Kato Dan had appeared behind them.

Tsunade turned and smiled warmly.

"I'll be right there."

Then, glancing at Jiraiya—

"Oh, I'm going."

"Go, go."

Jiraiya waved her off irritably.

Thanks to Simu's intervention, Jiraiya's greatest regret—Dan's death—had never occurred.

Now Tsunade and Dan were nearly inseparable.

After the war, they might even get married.

Jiraiya drained the wine from his bottle.

But while he brooded in sorrow…

Simu, deep in the Konoha Research Institute, was exhilarated.

Two shadow clones stood beside him—one on each side.

Before him lay Third Raikage, just released from the sealing of the Totsuka Blade.

After days in captivity, his strength was depleted.

He was easily overpowered by Simu.

"It really was you… Hanyu Simu."

Third Raikage wasn't surprised by the outcome.

What unsettled him more was that, aside from the powerful figure who sealed him, there was another man here...

Someone very familiar.

The former leader of Rain Shinobi Village—the so-called demigod, Hanzo of the Salamander.

"Hanzo? You're here too?!"

Simu chuckled.

"I'm afraid that's not something you're in a position to ask, Lord Third Raikage."

He looked down at the bent syringe, unable to pierce the Raikage's dense skin. Simu sighed.

"This guy's physique is ridiculous… but—"

He switched to a new needle.

Then gave a nod.

Uchiha Madara stepped forward and activated Genjutsu.

In his weakened state, the illusion took immediate effect.

Raikage's body slumped slightly.

With lightning speed, Simu coated the needle in advanced Armament Haki—and drove it into the Raikage's arm with a sharp stab.

It wasn't easy.

But finally, the medicine was injected.

Raikage's breathing slowed.

Then stopped.

Simu calmly put on gloves and began to modify the body.
