Chapter 207 - Chapter 207: The Unbearable Third Generation

"Presumptuous! We are the advisors of Konoha!"

The two aging consultants were close to throwing in the towel.

After all, if Simu were allowed to continue unchecked, they would be buried by the dust of history.

Seeing that Kakashi wouldn't move aside, they launched a direct attack.

Despite their age, as disciples of the Second Hokage, they weren't pushovers.

Utatane Koharu took the lead with a Water Style technique that the Second Hokage excelled in.

"Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!"

A torrential wave surged toward Kakashi.

Facing the oncoming attack, Kakashi calmly raised his palms, then slightly pulled down his mask.

"Fire Style: Extinguishing Flame!"

A sea of fire erupted, evaporating the water completely into steam.

The next second, all the ninjas loyal to the Third Hokage's banner launched their attacks.

However, the Anbu stationed near the research institute by Simu weren't pushovers either.

All of them were highly trained—and absolutely loyal to Simu.

As soon as they spotted enemies, they immediately engaged in combat.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura tried to sneak into the institute.

If they could get their hands on the Nine Tails' Jinchūriki, even Hanyu Simu would have to compromise with them!

"Did you forget... I'm still here."

Kakashi's cold voice rang out.

He had grown up alone.

Although Simu often appeared unreliable, he had given his true care to these disciples.

Not to mention, Kakashi had been eating at Simu's home for years, and already saw Simu and Kushina as family.

Now these people dared to threaten his family?

No matter how laid-back he usually was, the righteous fury in Kakashi's heart now reached its peak.

His body suddenly expanded, and his arms transformed into massive black wings.

Kakashi, now in hybrid beast form, flapped his wings once—blowing away all the surrounding water.

Lightning chakra surged to his feet, illuminating the entire research institute with dazzling arcs.

"Is this... Hanyu Simu's Twenty Beast Transformation Ninjutsu?"

Utatane Koharu was shocked.

After all, aside from Hanyu Simu, no one else had ever used such a transformation technique to become a beast.

And Kakashi's strength—why was it this terrifying?

Both advisors stared in disbelief.

Since Simu took office, Kakashi had been primarily active with the Revolutionary Army.

Due to Simu's deliberate arrangements, Konoha's intelligence system had very limited records of Kakashi's actual strength.

So it was understandable that Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura had underestimated him.

Thousands of thunder hawks cried out as Kakashi took flight, wings crackling with lightning.

"Lightning Soar!"

He swooped down with terrifying momentum.

Utatane Koharu immediately performed an Earth Style jutsu.

A thick wall of earth rose up to block him.

But against Kakashi's lightning strike, it was utterly flimsy.

The wall was kicked apart in an instant.

Kakashi's razor-sharp claws pierced straight through it—tearing into Utatane Koharu!

"…A shadow clone?"

But Kakashi had mastered Observation Haki.

He instantly changed direction.

At that moment, a sharp ninja blade stabbed toward him from behind.

Sensing the threat, Kakashi transformed into a Pteranodon, soaring into the sky.

Utatane Koharu, who emerged from underground, looked up at Kakashi—now fully beast-like—with a grave expression.

In their original plan, they were supposed to take control of the Nine Tails' Jinchūriki quickly, then use the Nine Tails' power to defeat Hanyu Simu—

And return Konoha to its so-called "brighter future."

But Kakashi's strength was far beyond their expectations.

And it wasn't even his full power.

The Pteranodon form circled high above.

Chakra surged violently from within Kakashi, and thunder enveloped his massive form.

His sharp beak gleamed like a divine spear, and suddenly, he dove—shrouded in lightning.

Lightning pierced the heavens.

Like a divine javelin hurled from the sky.

Utatane Koharu was locked on completely.

She tried to use Clone Technique and Body Replacement Technique to dodge—

But no matter what she did, she could feel it: her body was being locked on.

There was no escape!

Time was running out.

After several failed attempts to dodge, the divine spear-like Pteranodon form of Kakashi crashed down.

"Lightning Style: Dragon Cry!"

A thunderous roar like a heavenly dragon shook the field.

The strike annihilated the ground, and even nearby ninjas were paralyzed by the Lightning Style chakra.

Utatane Koharu, who had tried to escape by burrowing underground, was completely impaled by Kakashi's lightning-charged beak.

A deep crater was blasted open in the earth.

Kakashi's attack style was very different from Simu's.

Simu favored wide-area destructive attacks.

But Kakashi went for the one-hit kill—piercing straight through anything.

Thus, the ground looked like it had been skewered clean through.

Kakashi returned to human form and wiped the blood from his mask in disgust.

Even with the power of the Devil Fruit, his body still struggled to handle the recoil from this move.

"…Koharu…"

Mitokado Homura suppressed his grief and flew to the edge of the crater, launching an attack at Kakashi.

But Kakashi wasn't the only one protecting Kushina.

"Don't underestimate me, you old fossil!"

With a roar, Obito activated Wood Style, inherited from Uchiha Madara.

"Wood Style: Spear Thrust!"

His arm transformed into a massive wooden lance that shot toward Mitokado Homura—

Interrupting his attack entirely.

Mitokado Homura turned around.

"Water Style: Severing Wave!"

A high-pressure jet of water shot from his mouth, slicing through the incoming wooden spears.

Obito shook his hands, and the severed arms instantly transformed into two thick wooden limbs, grabbing Homura tightly from both sides.

Taking the opportunity, Obito called out smugly:

"Kakashi, you should thank me. I just saved your life!"

Kakashi leapt out of the pit and replied calmly:

"If you hadn't interfered, Mitokado Homura would already be dead."

"Tch, keep talking big," Obito scoffed, clearly not buying it.

However, Homura had already sliced through the wooden arms with his water technique and was making a direct charge toward the research institute.

"Ungrateful old fool," Obito muttered coldly, clapping his hands together.

"Wood Style: Cutting Technique!"

Countless wooden spikes burst from the ground, piercing through Homura—only for the body to vanish in a puff of smoke.

"It's a clone," Kakashi said flatly.

Suddenly, an arm reached up from the ground and grabbed Obito's ankle tightly.

Startled, Obito tried to react, but Kakashi had already sensed the movement with his Observation Haki.

Lightning surged from Kakashi's palm, forming a crackling blade that sliced cleanly through Homura's wrist.

"Argh!"

Blood sprayed as Mitokado Homura screamed in agony, jumping out from the ground clutching his bleeding arm.

"I didn't expect you to inherit such terrifying perception from Hanyu Simu..." he muttered bitterly.

Kakashi didn't even dignify the statement with a response. Compared to the current generation, these aging advisors—out of shape and weak from years of neglect—were no longer a threat.

Just as Kakashi prepared to finish Homura off, a familiar voice rang out behind him.

"Kakashi, that's enough."

He turned slowly. His visible eye narrowed behind the mask.

It was the Third Hokage—Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Dressed in full Hokage robes, complete with the iconic hat, he made his authority known just by standing there.

"Have you forgotten Konoha's Will of Fire?" he asked gravely. "Hanyu Simu is defying order and justice. You should return to the right path."

The Third stood firm, his trusted companion Enma—the Monkey King—already summoned at his side, eyes gleaming with fierce determination.

Kakashi and Obito both faced him with complicated expressions.

The Will of Fire… The very ideal that had shaped their lives. But at what cost?

"If the Will of Fire really worked..." Kakashi said coldly, "...then my father wouldn't have died like that."

His tone didn't waver. His face didn't flinch.

The Third Hokage sighed deeply.

"You still can't let go of your hatred. Then I have no more words."

"Step aside. You're not my opponent," Kakashi said, his voice low. "I don't want to harm the new generation of Konoha."

Obito seemed moved by those words, but Kakashi sneered.

"Still acting righteous at this point?"

The Third grunted.

"What Hanyu Simu is doing will destroy the entire ninja world. Even if it costs me my life—I will stop him!"

"Oh?" a mocking voice came from within the lab. "Is that really your reason? Or is it because Simu threatens the Sarutobi clan's grip on power, Lord Third?"

Simu strolled out of the lab casually, hands in his pockets, wearing a Hokage robe.

But his robe bore the words: Fourth Hokage.

"I didn't expect you to actually make a move. How disappointing," Simu said emotionlessly, despite his words.

The Third Hokage's face darkened. He was shocked to see Simu standing there in person.

"You're here...?"

Simu noticed the shock in his eyes and replied casually:

"If you're talking about me being held back by the First and Second Hokage through Impure World Reincarnation..."

"Well, sorry to disappoint you, but one clone is enough to deal with two weakened Hokage."

The Third Hokage gave a wry smile.

"You haven't changed. Still arrogant as ever."

Simu stood in front of him without a care.

Unless the First and Second unleashed their full power, no one was getting past him to Kushina.

They wanted a fight? Fine. No more holding back.

This wasn't a spar. It was a death match.

"Come, Enma."

"Understood, Hiruzen!"

Despite the years, their bond was still sharp. Enma instantly transformed into his Diamond Staff form and came crashing down toward Simu.

As the staff grew in mid-air, its sheer weight could've crushed the entire institute if it landed.

Simu remained unfazed.

His body expanded—human-beast form activated.

With his powerful arms, he caught the massive diamond staff.

This was the same staff capable of knocking back the Nine Tails…

Yet Simu caught it like it was nothing.

Power erupted from his body as he swung the staff skyward.

A burst of scorching flame shot out, tearing up the earth beneath and flinging the Third Hokage into the air.

While this battle raged, outside the village, another "battle" was underway.

The First and Second Hokage were engaged with Simu's clone.

Although... calling it a battle might be generous.

Their bodies fought fiercely.

Their eyes watched the show.

Their mouths? Just chatting.

"Tobirama, it seems we've been underestimated again," Hashirama said, waiting for his resurrection cooldown. A giant hole gaped in his chest—Simu's doing.

Tobirama, meanwhile, had just removed a glowing light spear from his side for the sixth time.

He scowled at Simu's clone.

"Damn brat. If I could use my full power, I'd teach him a lesson."

Simu's clone laughed politely.

"Apologies, seniors. To limit your movement, I had to use a few tricks. Please understand."

Hashirama sighed in regret.

"Ah, it's a shame I'm not in my prime. And you're just a clone… I'd love to truly spar with someone as gifted as you."

"Still, for just a clone to push us this far—that's quite something."

Tobirama turned, frowning.

"Wait. Where's Hiruzen? I can sense his chakra."

Simu smiled.

"At this point, he's probably already defected."

"Not just the Third. Even your other disciple, Danzo, has fallen."

"What?!"

Tobirama was stunned.

"What the hell happened?"

He charged again—but a minute later, he was once again slammed to the ground by Simu's clone.

As he lay pinned, Simu finally explained everything that had transpired over the years.

"Danzo, that bastard..."

Tobirama didn't seem particularly surprised at Danzo's fate.

But Sarutobi Hiruzen...

He hadn't expected his most trusted disciple to fall to ambition.

The First Hokage spoke up thoughtfully.

"Are you planning to abolish my one-village-one-country system?"

Simu punched Hashirama's body in half again and nodded.

"That's right."

"Then what's your alternative?"

Hashirama asked, genuinely curious.

Simu then laid out his plan.

After all, this wasn't something that needed to be kept secret.
