What they saw was Hanzo's broken body.
"Master Hanzo..."
The Rain Shinobi stared in disbelief.
Simu carried Hanzo and declared loudly:
"The leader of the Rain Shinobi Village, Hanzō of the Salamander, broke his promise and joined forces with the Sand and Stone Shinobi to launch an attack on our Konoha forces."
"Rain Shinobi Village—are you ready to surrender, or..."
A terrifying killing intent erupted from Simu's body, sweeping across the entire village in an instant.
The Rain Shinobi left behind by Hanzo were already relatively weak.
Under the pressure of Simu's Conqueror's Haki, many collapsed immediately.
Only a few dozen could barely remain standing.
Simu stood atop the Two-Tails, overlooking the entire Rain Village.
"Surrender—or perish."
His icy voice echoed through the village.
"Return Master Hanzo immediately!"
To the Rain Shinobi, Hanzo was a symbol of belief. They couldn't allow anyone to humiliate him.
Several Rain Shinobi vanished using the Body Flicker Technique, rushing toward Simu.
But their Body Flicker was far inferior to Hanzo's.
The Two-Tails casually swept its massive tail, slamming them into the ground.
Some Rain Shinobi attempted to resist.
But they were quickly overpowered by Konoha's shinobi.
A few Konoha shinobi were also knocked unconscious—by Simu's staff.
Even some Jōnin were no exception.
After dealing with the last of the Rain Shinobi resistance, Simu stood atop the enormous Two-Tails and strode toward the central building of Rain Shinobi Village.
The Four-Tails and Five-Tails followed closely behind, radiating terrifying pressure.
With no more protection from their shinobi forces, the remaining villagers posed no threat at all.
They had already retreated into their homes long before Simu arrived.
Konoha's shinobi quickly secured the entire Rain Shinobi Village.
"Am I really that scary?"
Simu sat in the Rain Village leader's office, rubbing his nose curiously.
At that moment, Aburame Shibi walked in.
"You defeated Hanzo. Who wouldn't be afraid of you?"
Over a thousand Konoha shinobi had now surrounded the village.
As for the captured Rain Shinobi, they were completely docile, with no intention of resisting.
After witnessing Simu's overwhelming power, they knew that even if they all joined forces, they wouldn't stand a chance.
Aburame Shibi continued:
"Rain Shinobi Village is now completely under our control. All those left behind have been detained."
The first thing Simu had done upon entering the village was force Hanzo to reveal Root's contact point—and then wiped out every last one of them.
As for the Rain Shinobi…
All active ninja had been subdued. The remaining civilians couldn't pose a threat.
And even if any tried to stir up trouble, Konoha's shinobi quickly put them down.
Simu gazed at the dark clouds looming over the Rain Village and said calmly:
"Don't worry. Prepare everything—we're heading back to Konoha to settle things with those old bastards."
Shibi's eyes behind his sunglasses showed a trace of complexity.
After this battle, nearly a thousand ninjas, including Kun and Ye, had become Simu's most loyal followers.
They would form his core unit in the battles to come.
Just a few hours later, Shibi returned again.
"Lord Simu, a group calling themselves Akatsuki is requesting to meet with you."
Outside Rain Shinobi Village, a group of cloaked figures in black robes with red clouds was stopped by Konoha's shinobi.
"This village is now temporarily under Konoha's control. Outsiders are not allowed to enter."
"Konoha shinobi?" Nagato frowned.
Yahiko had already lost his life.
Even so, they were still natives of the Land of Rain.
Now their village was under Konoha's occupation. How could he stay calm?
He pointed at the Konoha shinobi and shouted:
"Why are you people from Konoha occupying the Rain Shinobi Village?!"
By now, Akatsuki had grown into a sizable organization.
Hearing their leader's anger, the dozens of ninjas behind him grew tense.
Hands moved subtly to the hilts of their weapons.
Konoha shinobi immediately took a defensive stance, ready to fight at a moment's notice.
"Because Rain Shinobi Village declared war on Konoha first."
Simu's voice rang out from the distance.
A flash of light landed in front of Yahiko, and a man in a white cloak of justice emerged from the glow.
"Hanyu Simu…"
Nagato, standing next to Yahiko, tensed up.
If it's this man… even with the Rinnegan, it might not be enough...
Simu's gaze lingered briefly on Nagato's Rinnegan, then shifted to Yahiko.
"Rain Shinobi Village attacked us first. We merely defended ourselves."
"Is that explanation satisfactory?"
Yahiko clearly didn't accept that and shouted:
"Where is Master Hanzo?! I want to see him!"
Simu shook his head. "I've detained him."
"As the one responsible for launching an unprovoked attack on Konoha, he will be taken back for trial."
"What?! You arrested Master Hanzo?!"
Yahiko clenched his fists in fury.
At this point in time, Hanzo hadn't even attacked them yet.
Therefore, Yahiko regarded him as a predecessor—a hero who protected the Land of Rain.
Simu nodded.
"Yes."
Yahiko's expression darkened completely.
"Because you're also a student of Jiraiya-sensei, I'll give you a chance: release Lord Hanzō and leave."
Simu raised an eyebrow.
He had almost forgotten that the three people in front of him were indeed his senior brothers.
Still, he shook his head and replied calmly:
"Don't get the wrong idea. We won't be leaving until the Hidden Rain pays Konoha compensation."
"What did you say…?"
Yahiko clenched his fists, then slowly relaxed them.
"In that case…"
He raised his head, his eyes burning with resolve.
"No matter what, I won't sit back and watch the Land of Rain be invaded again. Prepare yourself!"
"Yahiko…"
Nagato reached out to stop him.
But Yahiko had already made his move.
"Water Style: Wild Water Wave!"
A torrent of water gushed from Yahiko's mouth, forming a massive water column that surged forward.
Simu remained still.
A ball of dark blue flame shot from behind him, striking the water and instantly evaporating it.
"Master Simu."
The Two-Tails leapt from the Hidden Rain Village and landed beside Simu, staring menacingly at the three before him.
Soon after, the Four-Tails and Five-Tails also arrived.
"That brat gives off a really bad vibe."
The Four-Tails glared at Nagato's Rinnegan. Even from a distance, it could feel a deep unease.
"Three tailed beasts…"
Nagato's expression grew solemn.
With Akatsuki's current strength, they couldn't possibly match the power of three Konoha-aligned beasts.
"Well then, still planning to fight?"
Simu looked at Yahiko, though his focus was clearly on Nagato.
The only one here who posed even a slight threat to him was Nagato.
"Even if it's a tailed beast…"
Yahiko clenched his fists tighter.
"No matter who it is, violating the Land of Rain is unforgivable!"
"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
With a dragon's roar, a massive water dragon erupted from the ground, charging forward.
"A boy with too much confidence."
As if deeming this level of attack beneath Simu, the Two-Tails casually raised a paw and swatted the dragon away.
Fire and water collided, creating a massive explosion of steam.
Seeing their leader initiate the attack, the other Akatsuki members didn't hesitate—they all began forming hand seals to launch their own ninjutsu.
The Five-Tails, Kokuō, stomped lightly on the ground with a hoof, then opened its mouth to unleash a blast of superheated steam.
A violent hurricane formed, sweeping through the Akatsuki ranks.
The ninjas who had just prepared to attack were instantly knocked off their feet and scattered across the field.
Nagato opened his arms and unleashed a Wind Style technique, blasting the vapor away with a strong gust of wind.
"What incredible power…"
The might of the tailed beasts was overwhelming.
Just how powerful was Simu, the one who could tame them?
Standing beside Simu, the Four-Tails thumped its chest with a massive hand, its green face full of anger and sharp fangs bared.
"These little punks dare to cause trouble!"
It raised its flaming fist, lava dripping to the ground and burning deep holes into the earth.
But before it could act, Simu stepped forward and released his Conqueror's Haki.
A wave of sheer willpower surged out like a tsunami.
Some Akatsuki members had just gotten up when the dark red Haki slammed into them head-on.
The lingering steam and smoke were instantly dispersed.
In the blink of an eye, only a few Akatsuki members remained standing.
"What kind of ninjutsu is this…?"
Yahiko's eyes held a trace of fear.
Nagato, sensing his doubt, said firmly:
"Don't worry. They've only passed out.
"And this isn't ninjutsu."
As someone who had mastered all chakra nature transformations, including Yin-Yang Release, by the age of ten, Nagato could clearly sense that the power Simu used was not chakra-based.
"As expected of the Rinnegan's wielder. Your perception is sharp."
Simu's calm words made Nagato tense up.
"You… know about the Rinnegan?"
Nagato asked coldly.
Simu said nothing. In a place like this, he was sure Uchiha Madara's surveillance was present.
He casually gestured toward them.
"Come on then. Show me what Jiraiya-sensei's students are capable of."
"You've gone too far!"
Enraged by Simu's dismissive tone, Yahiko charged forward with fury.
