Chapter 67 - 67. Rain in Jiangnan (2)

As dusk settles, the city lights begin to twinkle.

After driving for about an hour, Gu Zekai brought Lin Shengxia to their destination.

Green hills and clear waters, identical archways hanging on both sides of the stone bridge, and long strings of bright red lanterns winding out from in front of wooden doors on both banks of the river. There are many similar replicas of this town across the country, but only here does Lin Shengxia feel a touch of nostalgia in her heart.

When they arrived, it was drizzling.

It's not big, but it's very dense.

Such ancient towns rarely see outside vehicles, so Gu Zekai's car quickly attracted the attention of the town's residents!

The car finally stopped, and under the ancient archway, a red lantern looked all alone.

Gu Zekai got out of the car without even glancing at Lin Shengxia. He was very familiar with everything here and followed the bluestone path to the front of the courtyard.

A flash of pain crossed his face, which Lin Shengxia, who was right behind him, saw clearly.

Then he knocked on the door.

The wooden door opened from the inside, making a creaking sound. An old woman saw that it was Gu Zekai, respectfully called out "Young Master," and stepped aside to let the two of them in.

For some unknown reason, Gu Zekai, who had taken a step forward, turned his head and looked at Lin Shengxia with a complicated expression.

Her beautiful face was accentuated by the solitary red lantern, giving her a touch of the gentle charm of a woman from Jiangnan. Gu Zekai pursed his lips, unsure whether he regretted bringing her here.

"Come on, I'll take you to see someone." He coldly tossed out these words.

His voice was as ruthless as his expression.

Lin Shengxia frowned slightly, but still followed behind him without saying a word.

After walking around an octagonal table, the two of them stepped onto the wooden stairs. In the quiet atmosphere, the creaking sound was all the more obvious.

As soon as he pushed the door open with his large hand, a strong smell of Chinese medicine wafted towards him.

Her gaze fell on the only bed in the room, where a person was lying.

The woman's face was serene, as if she were asleep.

Lin Shengxia was startled, and then looked at Gu Zekai!

————I am a dividing line————

The small suite was almost completely flooded.

Su Nuan stood awkwardly in the room, watching Tang Huainan simply replace the faucet with a new one.

His brown shirt was soaked by the torrential water and clung to his muscular physique. Eventually, he took the shirt off, leaving him only in a gray tank top.

"Okay, I've changed the faucet for you. Next time something like this happens, remember to turn off the main valve first!"

Tang Huainan stood up, and his deep, mellow voice startled Su Nuan.

"I'll go get you a towel." Then, as if remembering something, she quickly walked towards the bathroom.

Tang Huainan glanced around the small suite without any concern; it was so quiet and deserted that it seemed the owner didn't live there long.

"Here you go!" Su Nuan came out quickly and handed him a large bath towel.

Tang Huainan subconsciously reached out his hand, but unexpectedly his view was blocked by the bath towel, and his hand landed on Su Nuan's warm hand.

For a moment, the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

"Is that your boyfriend?" Perhaps to change the subject, Tang Huainan subtly withdrew his hand and pointed to the photo next to him.

Su Nuan was taken aback, then noticed that the photo of her and Gu Zekai was still there.

"Why didn't you call him to fix your faucet? Did you two have a fight?"

Tang Huainan spoke while drying himself with a bath towel.

Su Nuan bit her lower lip, unsure how to answer for a moment.
