"So that's what happened." Sean drummed his fingers on the desk, staring blankly at the pile of papers on the side of the desk, deep in thought. It was the first time Elias had told him what had happened after going to the Chandlers for help. He had known about everything up to that point, about how the staff at the Chandlers' holiday mansion chased Elias away the morning after he had spent the night with Axel, and how he later discovered that he was pregnant with the Alpha's child…
But after that, Elias started distancing himself from everyone around him. And now, Sean finally knew why.
It was Mrs. Chandler. She was the one who forced Elias to stay quiet about everything, in exchange for her help. 'Help', which Elias at that point no longer could refuse, even if he wanted to.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know…"
"It's fine." Elias shook his head. "You had no way of knowing."
